I liked the colour, but after the first application I noticed it was really dry, flaked my skin, and didn't last long. So I reapplied it a few times throughout the day, and the next day woke up with the worst chapped lips ever.
I thought maybe it wasn't the lipstick, or that maybe I applied it too often, but even applying it once brings on slight irritation. A few days ago I applied it twice within a few hours, the first time somewhat heavily... and now I'm paying the consequences with severely irritated, red, swollen chapped lips. This is the worst lipstick I've ever used.

Great color! It is comparable to Chanels more brick red colors but actually better. The color is complex and interesting. They seems to have taken a true red, and thrown in brown and orange. The orange makes it more a color for warm complexions I think.I am one of those people where red is the optimum lipstick color for me.But red lips is so strong and bold sometimes you just want to down play a little. This gives a subtle look on a bold color. It's also minty and wear for a long time without reapplying. Check it in person cause the online color swatch ain't quite right.

HG. I've worn this one for years. It shows up so pretty in photos!
It's a darker reddish brown and very dramatic but surprisingly works for me NW20,freckles, redhair. I love the peppermint smell. I can't tell if any lippie has staying power since I'm a lip licker.. bad habit!
I took a lippie off because it's a bit drying so prep your lips prior to wearing.
This might be one to seek out if you're near an Aveda Boutique.

this is a very good color. it's a strong dark reddish brown, very flattering on my fairly light warm skintone, really warms my complexion. the texture is a bit drying, and it smells like mint which i don't love, but overall a good lipstick, i'm looking forward to trying it in other colors. it's actually similar to mac's retro. oh, and the staying power is not great, especially if you use it with a gloss.

This is a wonderful reddish brown colour - I wear it with Aveda's Terracotta lipliner and it's a great combo. The only reason I have this lipstick a 4 is because it is drying on the lips - I always have to add a gloss, which I don't mind because a gloss gives it an extra pop. I love the fact that this lipstick has a peppermint scent. I'm addicted to peppermint tea - it makes me feel so warm when I drink it, so the lipstick also has a calming effect on me!!!
