First..this in the lightest shade was way too dark and opaque for me to apply all over, so that's out. I tried diluting it with moisturizer to tone down the color, which worked out ok but that's a little too much effort for an end result I wasn't in love with.
Second: I didn't find this moisturizing. It just felt cakey. Maybe I bought an expired batch or something? Either way...won't be repurchasing.

I think this is quite an excellent product. Because of the thin consistency, it's very easy to blend, but has better-than-average coverage. It really tones down the rosacea redness on my cheeks and nose.
For less coverage, it's easy to blend with another moisturizer.
I notice that some reviewers say that they consider it greasy and that it doesn't absorb well, but I've not found that.
It's also quite a good buy, since the bottle is large and the amount needed is minimal. I've had not issues with oxidizing, breakouts or smell. Another great Kiehl's product.

i thought this product was alright. i was aiming for something lighter for the summer and had ghastly effects with Garniers bb creme. so my search led me to this product, and i cant really say that i am pleased. its really really drippy. i was expecting a little bit of a thicker consitency. also, the color range isnt reallly that great. the medium is too dark and the light is a little too pink, especially in certain lighting, i looked like i had baby sunscreen on my face!

I am on the hunt for the perfect face, so I have been purchasing lots of base products. To date was loving NARS tinted moisturizer ($42 for 1.7 oz). Stumbled across a Kiehls counter and picked this up ($24 for 2.5 oz). I really like it! I purchased in medium shade (I am MAC NW25, NARS tinted moisturizer in St Moritz). A perfect shade match, though with all tm's since they are sheerer than true foundation, shade matches are less of an issue and will "fit" a wider range. The texture is essentially a facial moisturizer. Does not even feel like wearing "makeup". Folks seeking true heavier coverage or to hide more than minor skin imperfections should look elsewhere-this is a very light sheer-ish coverage, perfect for a little skin tone evening for summer and those 115' days which will soon be upon us here in Arizona. I may favor the NARS tm by just a hair, but this is perfectly great and for folks with a more limited budget, this product is definitely worth it. Downside is I believe there are only three shades (light, medium, dark). I am lucky medium is a perfect match for me. Recommend! I sort of like the squeeze bottle over tubes, but just my preference.

This is my first purchase from Kiehls and definitely my last. Firstly, I have super oily skin (forehead, nose and cheeks) which means I have acne-prone skin- so I was looking for something lightwight, moisturizing but not oily, and with a tint of colour. Unfortunately this was not it. Its very thick, even thicker than some of my actual foundation, which means it doesn't spread easily. It also feels like I'm actually wearing a mask after putting it on! After wearing it for 3 days I noticed my cheeks started to break out, I stopped using it for 3 weeks and broke out everytime I put it on my face.
This is definitely not for the oily, acne-prone girls. I don't understand why anyone would want something so heavy yet has such little coverage on their face. Might as well go with a full foundation!

I got two sample sizes of this - one in Light the other in Medium.
This is a very good tinted moisturizer. It actually covers my pores and evens out my skin tone. The sunscreen is an added plus.
I didn't purchase a full size though because the light was too pinky undertoned (I'm way yellow) and the medium was too dark.
:( But it's a really good product. Totally worth the money.

It replaced my favorite tinted moisturiser, namely the one of Shisedio, which was thicker and not easy to control. It gives a velvety look and lasts without oxidizing. It's also kind to my dry and sensitive skin. Highly recommended.

I love this stuff. Great for those mornings when I am in a hurry. Good coverage for a tinted moisturizer. My skin is dry and acne prone. Terrible combination. It hasn't caused any breakouts and my dry skin is better.

I love this! It has SPF but it's not greasy. It's perfect for those who doesn't have much of a skin problem like me but would like to look like your skin is so healthy. It hides redness and sort of even out your skin tone. I use it as a primer for my foundation and it doesn't feel heavy at all it's absorbed fast! I still need to use foundation if i get like monthly zits (and scars after that) because of my hormonal changes! It won't cover that sort of pigmentation. I also read about some people not having the right shade for them, my advice would be to buy the medium and light and sort of mix them together.

I finally got this TM !! I've try all different range of foundations and BB cream and tinted moisturizers. I think this one gonna be the only one that I want to buy again. If someone wants full coverage it wouldn't fill the expectation. But since I like only the hint of shade which enough to cover my redness, and bare skin this is the best product for me !!!
And the price is very reasonable for 75 ml.

This is such a lovely product -- the finish is beautiful, it covers really well, and it feels great on the skin. Hoooowever, it is so PINK! I use the "Light" shade. If only they would correct or expand the color selection. I've never seen a pink person, and I don't want to be one, much as I love pink as a color. It's weird because at first, you think, wow, great color. But if you notice the undertones, they are very, very pink -- natural light is not my friend when I'm wearing this, *sigh*. It's otherwise a great product. My skin tone is very beige with a slight greeny/yellow undertone, on the fair side of fair/medium.

I LOVE THIS TM! I have used Laura Mercier (all of the TM by the brand), The Balm, Aveeno, CG Smoothers, and Benefit You Rebel. I have most likely forgotten some others. This one is the best! It actually moisturizes! Most do not. It offers light coverage, sheer first layer but your can build it to light-almost med. Which is perfect for me! I use a sheer layer all over and then a little more right in the center of my face where I get redness. Light is a little dark on my NC15/NC20 skin but because it is so sheer, I feel this blends in with my skin wonderfully. Plus I set it with a powder that matches perfectly anyway. If you are lighter than NC15 I think it might be a problem but if you are a dark NC15 or below I think this will work lovely for you. The best part is that this product doesn't look like you are wearing makeup at all, you just look like you have naturally healthy and even skin. On my combo skin it lasts a good 8 hours before I get oily on my forehead but that is good for me. Usually my skin feels tight and dry around my cheek/mouth/eyes but it an oily mess on my forehead and with this the tight feeling is gone and the oil is not as bad (although I do use a mattifying powder. Usually the powder dries me out too much but now I can wear it again!) This TM is a life saver I will absolutely repurchase! For the price I still think it is FAR more worth it that Laura Mercier which to me is visible makeup and harder to blend. With this TM a tip is to pat it on the areas you need more coverage instead of smearing it around, pat and blend instead and you will get more concentrated concealing. My skin has not looked this great in a LONG time... when I was young and didn't need MU. You get a lot of product in the bottle as well, and I love the packaging. Simple and not bulky, it will be great to travel with. I am going camping soon and am glad I won't be lugging around a big Laura Mercier bottle that holds almost half as much product. TRY IT!

I love this product! It's a nice coverage and decent moisture -- although on my dry skin, I layer it over a heavy moisturizer by Mario Badescu. I get lots of compliments on my skin and it doesn't look like I'm wearing makeup. For perfect made-up skin, I layer it under Make Up For Ever HD foundation. 100% coverage and no cakey look.
The only downside is that it may be too pink for some skin tones. Also, after you shake the bottle, it tends to spew out of the opening of the flip cap. By the time I get to the end of my bottle, it's a mess.

I brought this after seeing reviews here so I brought " Light"
it smells really foundation-ny I have to say.
but it's quite moisturising, and I planned to use this during winter.
But generally it's a decent tinted moisturizer, quite pricey tho! but my mom paid for it so whatever.
I would repurchase this as this is a decent tinted moisturizer.

First impressions of this product are very good. I never wear liquid foundation, only powder, so I was pleased to see that the texture of this was exactly like a regular moisturiser, and didn't feel thick or gloopy on my skin. However, it covers really well, even minimising pores, and the shade (Light) is a good match for my fair skin. It leaves a kind of dewy, natural effect. I used this on its own, without an additional moisturiser, and my skin stayed soft and comfortable all day.
The product isn't cheap (£20.50) but to be fair that buys you 75ml, and for comparison most moisturisers come in 30-50ml quantities. The packaging is very plain and pharmacy-esque, which I personally like, and the consistency of the product is thin enough that it's easy to get it out of the bottle. Also liked the hygiene seal inside the cap.
If this product continues to give such good effects, I'll definitely buy it again!

I should have listened the Kiehl's counter help. They told me that this product in Dark would turn purple or gray when it oxidized. It actually turned gray upon contact once I applied it almost.
Horrible, horrible it was. Back to the store it goes.

I have been using Tinted Moisturizer for over 27 years (Lancome came out with a TM when I was in college) and this one is tops!! I had been using Burts Bees TM for ages (occassionally Kiss My Face TM) until Burts Bees DSC it. I then went on a search for another TM with the Royal Bee Jelly/ natural pigments and came up with Kiehls. One thing to note too is that I am very allergic to sunscreens in products so that was yet ANOTHER road block in my search which lead me to Kiehls. Though it has some sunscreen in it....the sunscreen is made with pigments and I have had absolutely NO reaction to it.
I have extremely dry skin so I use SIMPLERS Organic Argan Oil ($15.99/1oz Whole Foods), then a heavy moisturizer under the TM like Kiehls Creme de Corps Whipped Body Butter in the winter and Argan Oil and Creme de Corps Lotion in the summer. It may seem like a lot of moisturizing but I live in Nevada where you can look like an old saddle bag with eyes if you are not careful. LOL! (I do not use powder but will use something like STILA Kitten All Over Shimmer Powder very lightly)
This TM also gives decent coverage (1-2 pea size drops) but still lets your natural skin shine through. I use the Medium even though I have light skin and yellow undertones. I mix a dab of NARS Orgasm Illluminator with the Kiehls TM for a nice glow. I am literally complimented several times a day on my skin.
The Stila convertible colors make a long staying blush on top of this TM. As far as powder blushes go... I found the NARS blushes to stay on great without going chalky or patchy.
Ladies if you have sensitive, very dry skin and want some coverage...give this a whirl. It's about $24.50/2.5oz @ Kiehls.com and it lasts me 5-6 months! Hope this helps.... :)

I find it so funny how someone said they switch from this to Laura Mercier - I did the exact opposite! I have tried many TMs; physicians formula, sephora brand, cover girl and wanted to try a higher end name, and tried Laura Mercier. All of them had terrible coverage that wore off in a few hours. Although I like a sheer coverage, I want it to last. THIS IS MY HG! Absolutely LOVE this. Never bought anything from Kiehls, but I saw the great review here and decided to try it. Coverage is AMAZING. Just what I'm looking for! And it blends into my skin super well - so even though theres only 2 (or 3?) colors, it doesn't matter! It really is amazing! I am NC20/NW20 and I got this in light and its perfect!! All i do is put this, JUST A SMALL AMOUNT, and some bronzer and its amazing. Lasts all day - so happy I found this gem! And considering the amount you get (and the amount you need - one pea sized drop is enough!), it's worth the price. SO HAPPY!!!

After using Smashbox TM (which has more of a yellow tint) during the summer, I switched to this as winter approached. I have it in Light and it works well on my fair skin. The coverage is better than Laura Mercier TM and as good as Smashbox TM. Evens out my skin quite nicely. My skin gets dry in cold weather and I have to use a moisturizer underneath the TM, but even then, it feels like I have nothing on my skin. Good product for a good price. Will repurchase.

I've tried Stila, Laura Mercier, Cover Girl and Orbis UV oil cut tinted sunscreen and they just don't compare with the Kiehl's one.
I got this near the end of summer in Medium and wasn't sure if I was going to get too pale to use it, but still, during the winter paler months, it still blended in very well to my skin. When I first put it on, it's quite noticeable but once I blend it out with a stippling brush, it's like I didn't put make up on at all but still evens out my skin, but not as flawless as foundation. In pictures though, my skin looks pretty flawless.
For the price it's well worth it ($33CAD for 75mL), considering most foundations are 30mL or 1 ounce for up to $40. I've also been using this since Sept 2010 and still have maybe just under half a bottle left.
It's great that there's sun protection, but you can smell a bit of sun screen in it which I don't mind too much.
I only use about 2-3 pea sizes for the entire face. It stays put with some powder and doesn't cause my face to get too oily.
The only problem I had with it was if my nose was very dry and flaky, it becomes noticeable when I apply the TM.
Other than that, i think it's a great alternative to using foundation. I won't use this as my main moisturizer though because I feel like it's more of a makeup product and regular moisturizers work better for me.
I wish the packaging was clear or had some sort of clear strip on the side to see how much I have left.
