I happened to pick this up at a 75% off sale at CVS. This is a gorgeous color! I love all things orange. It is a wearable coral (a medium pinky orange). Folks raving about the smell-it is not all that bad geez. It is nowhere near overpowering or industrial (geez!) and fades quickly. No worse than the smell of MAC or Estee Lauder lippies. I am approximately NW25 with brown hair and light brownish/hazelish eyes and this color is very complementary. That said, this was sort of a one-off purchase, and I would never pay full price of $10 for a drugstore lipstick. But if I happened to find this shade again on sale, I would definitely buy again. The photo posted with this product is a fairly accurate depiction of the shade (in real life it leans more orange). The green tube is quite ugly, but I like the clear top so you can see the color inside.

I spotted this shade at CVS for 75% off and had to try it. Guess that means they're discontinuing it. I have at least 20 Revlon super lustrous lipsticks, and LOVE every one of them. but this is my first moon drops l/s. Ive passed them by because of the smell. Honestly, it's overpowering at first but does fade after a few minutes.
This shade is quite lovely.. a brightish coral with a bit of pink. It works well with my nw30 skin tone for a perfect pop of color when I do a neutral eye. When I want to mute it a little I'll top it with Revlon's rose gold lip gloss (also being discontinued) for a knockout combination. Seriously lovely!
But my very favorite way to wear this lipstick is as a blush. Ohhhhh, it's SO pretty! Goes on smoothly with a blush brush and no streaks. And the flush it gives my cheeks is absolutely beautiful! I've searched heaven and earth for the perfect blush and who would have thought it would be a lipstick!? If you love bright corals this is definetly worth a look...especially at a 75% discount!

I love the Moon Drops line, and I have for years. I'm glad it's getting more attention from popular beauty bloggers and people in the beauty industry. This line has been around since the 60's, and it was the first Revlon moisturizing lipstick line. The shades are incredible, they rival so many high end brands. Yes, it smells like the retro/classic Revlon lipsticks and they have not changed that. I recently learned it's rose hips oil, and do not mind it and cannot smell it after a few minute. Even the most high end lipstick brands have some kind of scent that's floral or sweet, so it's not a big deal to me. Peach Silk is a wearable orange shade, and it appears to have some pink in it. For the most part it's orange, and I adore the shade for summer. Update: It's no longer listed on the Revlon website (this shade), so I am worried it's been discontinued. I think it would be a good idea to buy backup's of all your favorite shades of Moon Drops.

I just bought this yesterday and it's already my new favorite coral lipstick. On me, it's a matte, bright orangey/coral shade that is extremely flattering with my fair/light golden-toned skin. I have a few pinky/coral shades that I love, but I've always noticed that corals with orange go better with my coloring. It's such a beautiful bright, glowy pop of color! And the color REALLY LASTS. Really really. Plus it feels like I have nothing on my lips when I wear it, which is nice as well. Today I wore it "out" for the first time and my boyfriend said he loves it! I'm not used to wearing brighter colors - and he's not used to seeing me wear them - so it was really nice to get the positive feedback. The ONLY downside to this lipstick is, as another reviewer mentioned - the SMELL. Holy wow. What were they thinking? It's so strong, and it's not even a good smell to begin with. It's definitely a soapy/detergent/sythentic flowery type of smell. Yuck. When I bought this I also bought another Moon Drops lipstick and tried the other on first. I really like that one too, but as soon as I smelled it I thought, "No way. These are going back to the store for a refund." But I noticed the smell faded significantly after about 5 minutes so I gave this one a try too. Despite the fact that it fades, I *can* still smell it on my lips at times. I so wish this had a different scent to it and I can't imagine how or why this was the scent they decided to put in their product, but it's such an amazing lip color that I will definitely repurchase.

obsesssssssed with this color!!! i don't notice any offensive smell at all, though the packaging is really not that attractive in my opinion-reminds me of my mom's old lipsticks. but the color!

if you like the super lustrous coral reef gloss, this is sort of the same but in lipstick form-not pink, not coral, but a mixture of the two that lights up your face beautifully. it has a slight iridescence to it, which makes my lower lip look fuller. i have very pale skin and blue eyes, and this color looks lovely on me-really brightens me up. i bet it would look great on girls with tans. would definitely re-buy.

This is a beautiful color that is very orangey/coral and complimentary but the SMELL. Oh my god the smell. I can't believe no one mentioned this. I have seen the smell mentioned in other Moon Drops reviews. This lipstick smells like strong soap/detergent/industrial chemical. It is so harsh it ruins the flavor of my food and coffee. For that reason alone I will not buy another Moon Drops lipstick. There is no reason in the world why a lipstick should give you a pounding headache and ruin the taste of your food. If there is any way to try this before you buy, I definitely would recommend it. A lipstick is no good to me if I have to take ibuprofen 4x a day to keep the headache under control that it gives me. I should return it to Walgreens but I'm going to see if there is any kind of sealer or something I can put over it because I do like the color.

I am surprised that there are only a few reviews for this lipstick. Apparently not many people know about Revlon Moon Drops lipsticks which is a shame because for the price, the quality of this lipstick is equal to or much better than highend lipsticks. I have not been able to find the vibrant colors that this line offers anywhere else, even MAC. The array of colors are vibrant, classy and chic, very retro but can be worn with makeup looks that give the colors a modern edge. Peach Silk is a drop-dead gorgeous peach orange. I left the house today without my makeup bag, and all I had with me was this lipstick and some mascara. So I swiped this on my lips and also used some as creme blush and OMG it looked amazing! It really made my blue/gray eyes pop! You can find these gems at Walgreens here in the states, but as one of the reviewers suggested, if you can't find them, try Ebay. Love Peach Silk not only for a lipstick, but as a blush! Oh, and Moon Drops lipsticks have amazing staying power - as good or better than some "long wear" lipsticks!

A beautiful peach, coral...similar to the apricot moon drops shade. Soft and very pigmented. Classic!

Wow! This is a great coral-peachy color that looks amazing when you pair it with a peachy-pink blush like Nars Orgasm or Trucco Darling Peach and then for a simple look.... use a peachy pink or beige shadow as a wash. The end result? You glow like a little doll!! Very soft and sweet. I also have Revlon's Colorburst lippie in Coral but that is more a matte red-coral... this is way softer (true coral) and more light and sweet. It does dry my lips out a bit but I have VERY dry lips. I swear, I was born with chapped lips... a little balm over this baby helps a lot. Lasting power is fairly good for a ds brand. I really hope Revlon never discontinues this shade. If youre looking for a soft coral- do not pass this up!!!!

This is a lovely, fun, creamy coral, fairly moisturising and not very long wearing, but long wearing enough so that I only have to reapply after eating or drinking. Also the colour is light enough not to leave a ring around the mouth as it wears off. This isn't available in stores in Australia, but you will find it on american ebay quite often. It's very much a late 50's early 60's look but still very wearable today and a great alternative to red for summer weather. I have trouble finding a warm pink that looks good on my light olive skin, and most paler lipsticks make me look as if I'm wearing chalk on my lips. This colour is light enough to give me that retro look, but has enough oomph to stop me looking like a corpse. It would probably suit most people who look good in orange or coral tones.

It must be the dreary northern winter getting to me, but lately I've been picking up some summery lipstick shades & I've been after a true peach shade, which I define as less pink/red than coral. On a recent trip to CVS with a pile of Extra Bucks, I spied an oldie but goodie, Revlon Moon Drops. It seems that along with the Super Lustrous, they got a makeover: the new packaging is identical except that they kept the green marble tube and it seems to be smoother & creamier like the new SL. This shade has been around for many years (I commend Revlon for not discontinuing their old shades at the drop of a hat like their competitors), & it's a 60s-style true medium peach shade, vibrant but not garish. It looks great with my fair olive compexion & it would flatter a lot of skin tones. With the ever-present drugstore sales & discounts, it's a fantastic buy.
