This lip gloss adds just the right amount of glitter to my lips. Subtle enough to wear to school yet glossy enough to wear to a party. MLBB.

Such a pretty color! It is super subtle, but definitely not clear its more of a pale honey shot with superfiine gold sparkles :) I have pretty pigmented lips, worn alone it gives a slightly nude but very glossy look that I like for daytime. Would work well with almost any lipstick beneath in the gold/brown/nude/coral family (which just so happens to be my favorite family!) I love it! The packaging is extra pretty so it gets a near perfect rating from me.

I didn't like this l/g when I first got it because when I wore it by itself, it just looked like any other frosty lipgloss. But when I started pairing it with Honeylove l/s, it was absolute LOVE. The prettiest nude color was created on my extremely pigmented lips. The gold specks in it are gorgeous. I would probably buy one again because this is the only gloss makes Honeylove look somewhat decent on me.

This is a really pale nude color with some sparkle to it but it's not overpowering. I like it and wear it on it's own all the time but I also use it to tone down a lipstick that is too dark for my liking. It goes on nice and smooth without being sticky or gooey. This one is a keeper.

For me this is one of those lip products that i bought on a whim and didn't really need. I have strongly pigmented lips so this gloss basically looks like a sparkly clear gloss on me. I love the overall lipglass formula so this one gets a 4 regardless, but for me its not a wow colour.

Elaborate is a very pretty light nude with a ton of gold shimmer. This gloss looks great layered over lipstick but i find that on my lips it holds its own all by itself, and i actually prefer it that way. it really pulls my looks together even though it is so simple it does have a special "oomph" to it. This came out with a limited edition collection, so you cant purchase it anymore, but possibly snatch it off ebay. I dont think i would repurchase again as it doesnt have that special something i look for in a gloss.

I don't mean to drag down the perfect rating of this lipglass, but to me, it's just a clear lipgloss with a lot of fine gold shimmer. I still like it though, I think the gold shimmer would add extra oomph when layered over top of lipstick. It is LE, and I recently purchased from the MAC website because of all of the rave reviews, but it didn't "move" me like I thought it would. It's a nice gloss though, I like lipglasses in general because of their staying power, but this particular gloss had no color, just shimmer, at least on me.

I bought Antiquitease Tan Lips from MAC 1st & have to return because the lipsticks irritate my lips. However I loved the gloss so much, so my search began. Checking on here for reviews, thank you so much!!! IMO it's just like it, very happy. Very light & natural, but not see through. Love the gold in it, brightens up my face. Love it of course it's LE, like everything I've been loving from them lately. Just my luck.;)

I purchased this at one of the discount outlet malls a couple of months ago. I consider it to be a sheer-nude/golden shade - so comes off as a warm beige on my light beige complexion. It does have some sparkle to it. I wear this on top of my Rimmel Spice lip pencil so it has something to grab onto. You could also layer this over lipstick. I am so impressed with the MAC Lip glosses and I will definitely be purchasing them in the future. There is no comparison between this and the cheaper stuff at the drug stores. This really gives a rich, sexy look. Very worthwhile. NOTE: Compared to the NARS "Greek Holiday," while NARS is beautiful, for the wearability and price (and beauty), go with the MAC "Elaborate."

I _HATE_ this color...

Obviously I kid, I just want to buy a couple hundred of these and just save them for a rainy day. I was so upset when I missed this gorgeous color from the previous release, but I ordered two when the Moonbathe collection came out online.
I'm fairly pale, and this gloss added a hint of color and made my lips look lush without a huge overkill of color.
Looks great alone or with a nude/muted pink lip stick I found. (I liked using solar plum for a more dramatic look)

I'm ordering another right now...
I adore this color.

This is one of the LE products from the Moonbathe collection. The packaging is sooo pretty like all other Moonbathe collection products. The cap is pearlish white color. The gloss is a goldish frosty color with a lot of glitter in it. It's pretty on the lips itself but sometimes I wonder if it's supposed to be worn with a lipcolor as well because on my lips, it's not exactly goldish... mostly just shiny/glittery... it's still very pretty though. Personally, I also think this color is pretty because it's a LE and since it came back from another collection that means it's in demand haha. I wear this gloss with the LE Moonbathe blush in Other Worldly. I think it's very sexy haha. If you want a gloss that's the perfect shine and shimmer then get this color! Hopefully it comes back through another collection. I personally like Silly Girl (from the Balloonacy collection) better than this color though haha.

I don't know how I missed this with the previous collections, but the re-released Elaborate from the summer 2007 Moonbathe collection is definitely not to be missed! I agree with the rave reviews prior to mine: it's spectacular! The pearly opalescent quality coupled with gold which warms it up make it totally gorgeous. I have been wearing it today over the newly released lippie Honeymoon. Gorgeous! Respectfully submitted, colormepink

Shhhhh! I know about this one, too! Yes, it IS a lovely lipgloss, and I wanted to keep that little tidbit of info all to myself, too! That is why I didn't review this sooner. :o) But, guess what? For those of us who didn't get a back-up of this before, it looks like MAC has re-released Elaborate with their newest collection, "Moonbathe." Now it comes in a fancier tube, tho. I think I might go back for another. I wish MAC would take the famed, "triangle of death" away from this one, and make this beauty a permanent part of their Lipglass collection!

haha...I agree with the reviewer below. I couldn't believe that no would reviewed this gorgeous lipglass either, but then again, it's probably because we all wanted to keep it our little secret ;-) I see this little lippie as Pas de Deux's golden cousin. It's opalescent in nature, but with a golden tinge. It's absolutely beautiful. I got mine from MAC's Goodbye section and am so glad I did. It's a winner!

I have resisted posting any review about this lipglass as, if possible, I would like to buy all Elaborate lipglasses in the world and keep them in a secret place known to me alone. But since sillyfoolxp had posted a first review, the cat is out of the bag so to speak, I would like to chip in 2 cents. It is a clear lipgloss with a hint of peach and multicolour sparkles. It's lovely and it's sad that it's LE... but it's very similar to Instant Gold lustreglass, which luckily isn't LE. So grab a tube of Elaborate while you can, but if you can't there is always the IG lustreglass.

I can't believe no one reviewed this!! I got this along with En Pointe and decided to keep this one. The color is described as "Soft low karat gold with pearl" it's soo pretty. I have fairly pigmented lips, and this stuff goes on soo pretty. It has shimmery little glitter flecks on it. I know some people don't like that, but I don't mind at all! You can easily layer this over any lipstick or color to add a little sparkle. It is sticky like the other lipglasses, but it sooo doesn't matter cuz it's gorgeous! It's LE so hopefully you get to try it/buy it b4 it runs out!! I'm thinking of getting a backup, but I have a thing about getting tired of stuff quickly so maybe not. I'm definitely considering it though!
