Why all the hate? This is my favorite razor! Such an easy, comfortable grip. The blades gives such a smooth shave. Sure, I've cut myself on numerous occasions. But I'm a clutz and that's bound to happen with any razor. Yeah, the replacement blades are expensive. Four blades for an expensive price isn't worth it. But if you buy the blades without the "spa" lotion stuff, it's a lot cheaper and does a nice job as well. Love this razor!

So many things wrong with this razor, I don't know where to begin. First of all, it's supposed to have a bar of shaving cream built in, but I found that it didn't lubricate well and I had to use shaving cream anyway. Second, every time I used this razor I cut myself so bad, my shower was like a murder scene. Finally, when using normal pressure, the handle snapped in half while I was shaving. I will not be purchasing this razor.

HATE!!! I like Venus, and I liked the idea of these- although to be honest I never would've bought these if given the option, I was checking out already and saw these, which reminded me I really needed new razors... Anyway, my point is, the bars do give a fantastic amount of lubricant and for that they are great, and I can see this being a plus for sensitive skin issues, but they also seriously limit how close you can get blade to skin. I want an extremely close shave, and I felt like I was pressing this razor incredibly hard into my leg. I was tempted to rub off all the shave gel right then and there just to alleviate the issue. I did still get an ok shave for my armpits, legs felt smooth in shower, but feel somewhat stubbly now that I'm out.

I love this razor. I have very sensitive skin and hate to buy shaving cream because it usually gives me a rash. I decided to give this a try because 1 it's a good razor, 2 it has a shave gel included (cut down on cost). I shave at least every other day, if not every day. I find it gives me a very close shave and my legs are soft and smooth. Underarms, not so great, but I have some rough underarms that are also very sensitive (they haven't been right since pregnancy).

My only issue with this is the cartridges.. The shave gel bars are amazing.. But they dont last long. In the package I got a razor holder, I hang it up in the shower, away from the water/shower head so it cant get wet. But I have noticed that the gel bars just melt away too quickly.. At first, they only lasted a week. Then I tried to not get the razor wet as much as possible while shaving. Wet it at first, wet my skin then shave. do not wet the razor again.. just rinse when done. This made the gel bars last about 2 weeks. but its still aggravating.. because its just the top bar that ends up falling off.. and the razor blades themselves I know can last up to a month.. So I feel bad when I throw them away...

Also, this is one razor that I have never cut myself with or had razor burn with..

Overall I give this a 4/5.

For a razor this little thing is quite expensive, but I really like it. I think a lot of people are just using this without shaving gel or body wash, but I definitely use it with shaving gel. I don't trust that the little gel bars are enough. I just look at it as being a cool addition that adds moisture. Very pleased, but will probably purchase a regular venus head next time.

These razors arent as expensive as the venus embrace, but they're still expensive! I don't really like to shave (I prefer wazing and hair removal creams), but I though I'd try them. These are really gross. They're sticky and gooey and messy. The only reason they get a 2, not a 1, is beacuse there is minimal razor burn.

I've read a few reviews saying that men's razors are good... Someone message me whether this is true or not and which to buy? Thankyou! :)
As for the Breeze, it's a good convenience razor because there's no need to apply shaving gel before use, but the gel bars fall off pretty quickly and no matter how quickly I pick them up, they make the floor of my shower slippy, and even when they're still on the razor, make the shower rack gooey. It doesn't give the closest of shaves, it's okay on legs, but when using under my arms I've taken to using a disposable razor after I've used the Breeze just to ensure a smooth shave! As for bikini shaving... Don't use this. Feels VERY weird, and just doesn't get to the nooks and crannies without leaving a few cuts behind.

Meh. I was using the Mach 3, but I have the dark armpit syndrome so I thought that razor was being too harsh on my skin. I switched to a lady razor that I kept hearing raves about. It's nice, but it's not a very close shave. When I was using Mach 3, I could get away with shaving maybe every 2-3 days. But with the Venus Breeze, I never feel completely hairless. Especially under my arms, I can still feel the hairs poking out. I think I am going to try out an epilator. I hear it gets rid of the darkness and roughness under the arms. Same thing goes for my legs, I can sometimes still see hair after I shave an area. Lame sauce.....

The only difference between this razor and the normal Venus one is the gel bars, which are crap. They only work a few times and will either fall off or finish up too quickly. One blade usually lasts about a month, give or take, and these gel bars last only about a week. I prefer using shaving cream to actually see the areas I have and haven't shaved, so I ended up using this razor as backup for when I run out of the regular Venus blades.

Gillette Venus Breeze is an excellent product because of its closeness and comfort to skin that it provides while shaving. I am regularly shave almost every other day of the week so it was important for me to find a razor that could do the job and not irritate my skin. I was very tired of getting my skin irritated and having razor bumps from the razors I was using and found it very annoying to worry about always having to apply a bunch of shaving cream before every shave. When Gillette Venus Breeze first came out, I was not sure if it would work since I had owned a previous razor of a different brand by Schick with gel strips that did not do a good job in giving me a close shave. I remember taking it home and trying Venus Breeze and completely feel in love. This product is great! I would strongly recommend it to anyone that shaves regularly and has sensitive skin. It is hassle free with no need to apply all the smelly shaving cream on and always leaves skin smooth and hairless without any effort of shaving over the same area repeatedly. The gel razor cartridges do not come so cheap but for the lasting smooth effect they deliver, it is worth the money. Many times the Gillette website will provide coupons if you were interested in a discount. Each blade also last about two weeks and I shave everyday so that is also something to consider when debating about price and quality.

Def not my fave razor by far
I got this @ Walmart in a xmas set after the hollidays since it was so cheap.

Pros
1). Good if your in a hurry or need to shave your legs in the shower due to the built in shave gel around the razor you need nothing else
2). smells good? that may be nice to some but I don't really care

Cons
1). You can not leave this razor in the shower or tub side unless you want the gel to become a sticky mess and melt away
2). The gel does not last long really just a hand full of shaves and may crack and fall apart before the life of the razor is done
3). Not a very good razor..a decent just ok one for legs
def not to be used on any other lady parts unless you want a lot of missed hairs and those lovely under the skin hairs mess.

When it comes down to it..even w/o the pretty pink handles, scents and etc..I find nothing beats a man's face razor..like the Mach 3 and so on..try it out and you'll be surprised how much better they work then the flimsily, expensive ones that are marketed to us...

this razor is great! i never shave my leg before i know this razor from taiwan's tv show (QUEEN).once i saw this razor that recommended by the QUEEN,then i start to search this razor in malaysia, but malaysia did not import this razor,so i force to buy it from ebay.it is quite expensive, but it is really nice to use.i was try my first time shave with this razor on last week on my shower time.i just simply wet my legs, then i start to shave it.In my mind, "shaving" gave me a painfull impression cause we will feel the "cut" feeling on our leg.but when i start to shave my leg,i did not feel any pain or "cut" feeling,it just feel like a soap sliding on my leg.then all my hair was remove yet it leave my skin soft.i felt so great.but u have to hang up the razor and let the gel bar to dry.after that put back into the refill cartridge's cover.i advise dont put in the wash room, since wash room is humid.Humid environment wil cause the gel bar become sticky and not lasting.

The fact there is gel on the razor and when you get it wet = sticky mess when its not in use. So I find that difficult to deal with when I share a bathroom and have to move things(can't leave it in one place). So on that fact, I won't repurchase refills. The blade for me also gets dull really fast, and I don't have thick hair on my legs!

I gave this a three because it technically does work as a razor and it works as well as any of the venus razors do which is pretty much better than most razors.... but it's laughable that you are supposed to be able to use this without shaving cream. I bought this package because they were out of the Divine which is what I usually use. These are not cheap blades; they might be the most expensive blades for women on the market.

You can get one, maybe two shaving cream-free shaves with one of these. On the plus side you can continue to use it as a razor you just have to use shaving cream. On the downside you will get horrible razor burn if you go one shave too many without using a shave product.

Also, I despise the packaging of these razors; it's super wasteful.

I love this razor. The shaving gel thats on the razor head works great, but sometimes you have to rub just the gel across the skin a time or two, then do it with the blade, at least for more sensitive areas like the bikini line so you have plenty of lubricant before you shave. But I find that unnecessary for legs and underarms as it seems to apply the perfect amount. The three blades are great and give a smooth shave without the bumps and ingrown hairs that I found 4 and 5 blades tend to give me. Don't keep this in the shower though cause the shaving gel will melt away.

I believe your preferred way of getting rid of unwanted hair is something very personal and that there simply is no miracle product (yet).
As for me, I have very light, thin, almost invisible hair on my body. So I just take this Venus Breeze with me in the shower 2 times a week, LOVE that I only have to use this and no shaving soap (I already have too many beauty products anyways) and in just 5 minutes my legs and other hairy parts are completely soft:) This is also great for travelling! Been using it for 2 years now and it's just soooo easy for me! I seem to be in the big minority here with loving this:)

I was unimpressed with the Venus Breeze. The commercials made me think "I've just got to try this!!" - So I ran out and bought a box of the Breeze refills.

I could not have been more disappointed if I had slit my own wrists with these things. First of all, I will say that I love that any Venus refills fit on any Venus razor base. That part is pure genius.

Now, on to the blades themselves...
Right off the bat, I discovered, the hard way that you have to get yourself AND the razors very, very wet. If you think it's wet enough, you're probably wrong. Wet it more.
I found that it would drag across my flesh, making a noise reminiscent of a squigee on a window and leave marks (razor burn) on my legs.

After shaving, be careful where you lay the razor because the "shave gel" will, I repeat, WILL adhere to surfaces. Meaning the next time you come back to shave, you're yanking on a razor handle whose head is stuck to the shower or bath.

The shave gel itself lasts about 2-3 shaves, and in my experience it was all but impossible to shave without the blasted thing. Considering the fact that I can use a regular Venus cartridge for far long...These Breeze refills were anything but a breeze. More like a total waste of money.

OK shave. I like the smell but this is kind of pricey and not that great. The gel bars are kinda slimey but it does not bug me. I also like the 3 blades. I find them less irritating than 4 or 5 blade razors like schick quattro.
