Poor pigmentation. I regret buying this. Cheap as I am, I really regret it, because it was expensive, and not worth it.

This is a very elegant quad, the shadows are perfect to wear in the office, great match for blue eyes. They last all day.

My first Chanel eye shadows, and probably my last. The packaging is beautiful, and the shades looked like the perfect neutral, sheer but noticeable enough to give a polished look. I have to use a lot of product for it to show, and I'm specially disappointed with the peach shade, which looks like a sheer nude wash, with no noticeable effect brightening my eyes. The other three shades are not great, but not awful either. Plus, in a few hours, they creased badly - cheaper drugstore eye shades did not crease on me. Not worth the money, I think.

This is a staple in my make up bag for a natural daytime look. The colours are very sheer (I use Mac paint pot in Bare Study as a primer and it enhances the colours of this quad in an amazing way). I use all the 4 colours of the palette.

Not suitable if you are looking for highly pigmented eyeshadows - this is not what this palette delivers. But if you are looking just for a classic eye shadow and a touch of colour that makes you look well groomed this quad is perfect.

This was the first Chanel eyeshadow that I bought and I was a little disappointed. I love the compact case and the colors look beautiful, but when I actually tried using them, the colors barely showed at all and I even had some people ask if I wasn't wearing any makeup that day! Wetting the brush before dipping it in the shadow makes the colors darker, but I hate dealing with the wet brushes and don't like how it makes the shadow in the case look. For the price and the name, I would expect more.

I love this compact :) I bought it for my wedding, and it looked terrific in pictures. I actually use all 4 colours in this compact, which might be the first time ever with a compact. Beige Velours is perfect if you like neutral eyes!

The packaging is great quality; very sturdy and neat. The colours are very pretty to look at but they barely show up on my skin at all. The lightest cream colour is very faint, it makes my eyelid look 'cleaner' but that's about it. The pink is very light too, as is the pale brown. The darkest colour doesn't even show up that much!
If you like really sheer shadows then this might be suitable, otherwise, I wouldn't bother. I guess the shadow would be good for wearing to work though.

I won't be buying a Chanel quad again. This palette is so, so blah. The apricot barely shows up, the highlight colour doesn't either, and the browns are alright, but nothing better than you could buy from Maybelline or another drugstore brand.

The pigmentation and lasting power is rubbish. This is another Chanel product that just sits in my drawer, never being used. I paid £31 for that! Pffff. Never again.

This was my first Chanel quad as well. And I have been as well disappointed - poor pigmentation, poor lasting power, nothing special about the colour, the apricot one is dry and unusable. I still have the shadows because I like the taupe and the dark brown-purple and I use it when I want a neutral makeup. My second quad from Chanel (that was a gift) was also a dissapointment (MUCH chaper brands have MUCH better shadows than these quads). I don't intend to buy again. Beige Velours or other Chanel quads. Unless they come up with some amazing colours (at least) to (partially) justify the price.

The Beiges Velours quad features cream, taupe, peach and deep brown eyeshadows, all with a semi-matte finish.
Though the quad looks beautiful, I just can't seem to really get the colors to work for me. I've tried a few different looks with it, but they always turn out very... blah.
The taupe looks really muddy on and the peach doesn't show up on me at all. I've tried both with and without an eyeshadow base, dry and foiled, but nothing seems to help. The cream color does work fine as a highlighter but sometimes looks a bit chalky. The only color I do like is the deep brown, but it's not worth spending this much money on.

My first Chanel quad and while it's an average product, it's really not worth the price tag.

It's composed of 4 colors (duh) and the most wearable and blendable is the dark while all the others are either too glittery (chunky even) or just don't show up on fair to medium skin tones.

These are very easy, every day neutrals. The quality is high, perhaps too sheer for some but great for those who like the natural look. Will buy again if I ever run out.

My first quad. Very disappointed. The colours look great in the pan but appear very sheer. Almost too sheer. The lasting power isn't great either. I would suggest primer first before putting this on.

Great quad if you like the natural look and sometimes a strong eye as you can build colour to create something more dramatic. Have used the darker brown wet with amazing results - i think a primer applied first is a good idea though. I would buy again:-)

*PIC* This is my first Chanel quad, and I believe it'll also be my last. This is just because it's not a special product. To be honest, it's quite ordinary. You can find hundreds of products like this by other brands including the drugstore ones. The shades are easily dupable. The texture applies like a dream, so soft that the sponge tip applicator glides on your eyes. That's another point tho. These colors already go sheer and natural with these sponge tip applicators, so using a good brush won't help to pick up more color. I agree with one of the previous reviewers who said it's a good quad if you don't have much products like it.But if you're like me (I mean if you have a huge stash with lots of variety and some dupes as well) you won't be highly satisfied with Beige Velours quad. The staying power and pigmentation is not SO bad compared to what I've heard and read about these quads so far.But I'm not saying they're good enough for me to splurge and get more of Chanel quads.I'd say don't fall for the brand's image and save your money for something better and cheaper, you won't see much of a difference.I thought these are the neutral colors that I've been looking for all my life but since they applied much more natural than they look in the compact, I know I'll continue to search for "the one".For those who are curious about the colors here's a pic:

VERY Expensive but this is THE perfect e/s palette for ladies that like the neutral, natural eye make up look, that doesnt scream 'im wearing e/s!!!'. The shades are all very natural and go on very smoothly, I have blue eyes and they all really make my blue eyes pop esp the pinky champagne shade- wow!!! great great e/s. the only thing i would say is that i personally dont find chanel e/s very long lasting. I applied the e/s with UDPP at 9am and when i got home at 1pm had totally worn off....arent good HE e/s meant to last for longer with UDPP/ or just alone? hmmm...although id still give this gorgeous palette 5 lippies. UPDATE: I love this palette to bits, the shades are gorgeous but they last barely 45mins on me??? esp the lighter shades....i will have to try another primer besides UD but im soooo disappointed, this is meant to be CHANEL!!

Great product if you don't already have a lot of e/s. This is very basic and perfect for someone like me who rarely wears e/s. Beautiful neutral colors that can be used for a nude/shimmery look or a smoky look. I'm Asian NC25

I've been prowling around Chanel 4quads for quite some time, but just couldn't find all the right colors in the same box. Now I've got them in 81 Beige Velours - soft, velvety, luminous - simply beautiful for my fair skin, dark hair and blue eyes, easy to apply and perfect for "smoky eyes", and guess what - long-lasting as well. Love at first sight! *)

This is a fantastic neutral eye quad. It is perfect for daytime. The two darker shades are one brown sugar shade and one cooler grey taupe colour that both make my green eyes pop. There is also a beige shade and pale white/beige that is fantastic for highlighting the brow bone. I use MAC Bare Canvas as a base underneath and the eye shadow lasts all day without any creasing.
