I got this in the oil rollerball. Doesn't smell like vanilla to me at all, it smells floral and woodsy and it gives me an instant headache. Will be returning.

I hoped to like this scent since I have been looking for the perfect vanilla scent. It smells more like vanilla in the bottle, but once I sprayed it on it smells very similar to Aquolina Pink Sugar. No thanks, I will keep searching for a vanilla scent. I will not purchase..

I was using Pink Sugar before but I am trying to only buy cruelty free products. I love the smell of vanilla. I really do like it. I feel that this still smells sweet but it is not sicky or childish. I think it lasts a long time. I just wish it wasn't so expensive. If it was cheaper i would give it 5 lipies. I really to like this fragrance. I like to smell sweet and I think this is sweet enough.

This is a decent perfume. It's a grown up vanilla scent, & unfortunately I have the taste of a teenybopper when it comes to perfumes so I did not *love* this fragrance. I was hoping for a vanilla cookie vibe. However, I can see how others would love Lavanila's Pure Vanilla. It's sweet, but not sickeningly, & has some powder notes. It's very wearable, too. This is the sort of scent you can wear to a party, office enviorment, anywhere. I can't imagine anyone ever finding it offensive.
Another issue I had with this perfume is the scent isn't long lasting. A couple of sprays on my wrists lasted me about 3 hours, whereas my favorite Aquolina's Pink Sugar lasted me...days. (I warned you I have an immature preference in fragrance).

I love the idea of a "vanilla" perfume, but over the years, after trying many of the so-called vanilla-based perfumes, such as Addict and Angel (and even completely natural fragrances supposedly based on vanilla) I had honestly started to question my love for vanilla, as none of these offerings satisfied my craving. Lavanila Pure Vanilla definitely gets top marks from me for being such a simple interpretation of vanilla, while simultaneously satisfying every one of my expectations of what a vanilla fragrance should be. Somehow, on my skin, this scent manages to be both sweet and creamy; there is a slight whisper of Pink Sugar, but not nearly as sharp... this is definitely more "cookie" than "sugar," if a food comparison must be made. Underlying this creamy sweetness is the essence of something comforting that I can't entirely put my finger on; this comforting feeling comes from the scent of something that reminds me of - this may sound odd - fabric softener or dryer sheets. I don't want to say that this perfume smells literally of such things, but there is a comforting airiness underlying the creamy sweetness that I find perfectly ties everything together. Lavanila Pure Vanilla presents itself as a warm kiss of vanilla; its softness blends deliciously with the natural scent of my skin to create something subtly dreamy and effortlessly delicious.

I have written over 200 reviews but have never written one for a fragrance. I feel like this one is worth noting. I recieved a free sample of this from Sephora and at first was a bit put off by the scent. It didn't smell like true vanilla to me. But as the day wore on, I realized that I could not stop smelling my wrists! It is a heavenly scent. I would definetely purchase the full size and I NEVER purchase perfumes.

I received this as a 100 Point sample from Sephora. I was always curious about this line of fragrance and this was the prefect opportunity to try it out w/o having to commit to a full purchase.
WHOA!! This is a very long lasting fragrance. When I first sprayed it I kept thinking, "I've smelt this fragrance before. WHAT is it?" Then I figured it out. ANGEL!!! This has a very similar fragrance note to Angel. However, unlike Angel, I LIKE this. It doesn't have the sickly sweetness of Angel. This is a pure vanilla fragrance that doesn't smell like a sugar cookie. It doesn't seem to offend anyone and yet I can get whiffs of it on and off all day long. I really like that it stays with me, because I do have the problem with weak scents just disappearing an hour after I apply them.
I am not saying this is a fragrance everyone will love. But I like it enough that I would probably purchase a full size of it. I do think it's more a fall-winter fragrance than a summer fragrance, but then I have wanted to try the Vanilla Grapefruit scent in their line. Very nice fragrance for someone who is can't take Angel but wants something like it.

My absolute favorite perfume! I reach for this practically everyday. To me it smells like a very warm and rich vanilla which I absolutely adore. I like vanilla scents but sometimes they can be too sweet or synthetic. Not this baby, it's pure perfection. Evey time I wear it, I either get asked what I'm wearing or told that I smell really good. The lasting power is superb. I put it on in the morning and when I go to bed I can still smell it on my wrists, although it's much softer than when first applied. This is now my signature scent.

I SOOOO wish I was smelling what everyone is describing here. This perfume really must not mix with my body chemistry well, because to me, it smells like a mix of a powdery, grandma perfume and Avon's Skin So Soft. Like another reviewer said, it smells nearly identical to the stuff. There's really no change from top notes to dry down. Just powdery Avon SSS all the way from start to finish. I keep wearing it hoping that I'll eventually smell this delicious, warm vanilla everyone else smells, but it's not happening. Love the idea of this fragrance, but it just doesn't work for me :((

I really wanted to love this, but what I get is a very powdery patchouli with a hint of vanilla. If you love powdery earthy scents, you might love this!

This perfume has a natural vanilla scent which is very nice. The scent seems to fade quite quickly, which is the one downside; though I generally fancy the fragrance and use it on a regular basis.

I've only tried this as a sample, but on me, it has a very strong, long-lasting vanilla and sugar smell. It's like the "cotton candy" note from Pink Sugar, but amped way up. I feel like I'm getting a sugar high whenever I wear it.

I usually dislike fragrances that smell like food but, to be honest (and I teach cooking!), this fragrance doesn't really smell all that "vanilla-y" to me but more like burned sugar (in a nice way). It actually reminds me somewhat of Fresh's Cannabis Rose - that same warm, lush undertone. When I came home wearing this, my husband actually commented that he liked the smell very much and he is quite particular about scents and very outspoken when he doesn't like something. I got a lovely, generous sample of this and plan on going back to get the roller ball (my family can get me the full size for Mothers' Day!). As fragrances go, this is quite reasonably priced so I will most certainly repurchase this to use as an every day fragrance and save my pricey (and getting pricier) scents for special occasions.

I bought this in the rollerball form and loved it! It definitely has a nice vanilla scent to it and smells smashing:)

I love vanilla, and have been sampling various fragrances lately. Unfortunately, however, I tried Van Cleef & Arpels and Creed's version of vanilla first, which permanently seem to have spoiled me. I am not a perfume snob, and I truly don't mean any disrespect to those who love this perfume, but I found LaVanila's version of vanilla incredibly synthetic compared to VCA and Creed. Instead of a soft and luxurious dry down, LaVanila was bordering on offensive due to it's fake and cheap smell. I had to scrub it off. Too bad, it actually smelled very good out of the bottle. Sigh, it's sad that VCA and Creed's vanilla are so expensive.

I absolutely love these fragrances. This scent my brother purchased for me accidentally (I requested vanilla grapefruit). I prefer this one. Friends tell me I smell like a cookie and my husband thinks it's sexy. I especially love that the formula is all natural and that I don't get a chemical headache like I do with other fragrances.

I am on my third bottle and this is my "signature" scent. I haven't found one person who doesn't like the scent when they smell it. I know everyone's perception and description of a scent is very subjective but I personally don't think this is very powdery or warm, to me it's somewhat fresh and soothing. Some people who have smelled it on me, said it smells like chocolate, which is odd but I can see how it can come off as desserty. To me though, it is not the type of vanilla you eat, or the type of vanilla you smell from bath and body works, it's nicer and cooler if that makes any sense. Well, I won't try to describe the scent since that won't be much help if you smell it differently, but I do love the brand very much, the longevity is very nice and long, and I like that it is "healthier" to wear, which makes it a daily perfume for me.

I really wanted to like this. I LOVE vanilla!! But this is way too powdery for me. Maybe it is just my chemistry. Oh well.. I am still on the search for the perfect vanilla fragrance. Any ideas just let me know.

This is a good vanilla scent, but the price is rather high, when you can get Yves Rochet Vanille or L'Aromarine Vanille for much less. In any case, this vanilla starts out strong, a rather boozy vanilla. At drydown, it calms down, and becomes a creamier, mellow vanilla scent. This is absolutely not a sweet vanilla at all, for which I am immensely grateful. I really like wearing this, but, for the price, I may not buy again.

Lovely on application and just as lovely after some time on my skin. It does loose its loud "VANILLA!!!" beginning and I think thats great. I'm not a girl who wants to walk around smelling like I spilled the extract on myself while baking. This mellows out into an earthy, subbtly spicy, warm vanilla. This will be perfect for winter or fall.
