(WARNING: I’m going to go in to a lot of detail about this product as it helped the skin around my eyes massively. This may be interesting for people who suffer with dryness around the eye area, if that’s not you, you may not find this interesting) I bought the Liz Earle sample set which came with a couple of travel sized products. I got this to take to New York thinking it was the perfect excuse to try out some of the products since I really loved my hot cloth cleaner.
The days leading up to my trip my eyelids dried out, as they sometimes do, and the skin underneath my eye area dried out too. This has happened several times and it’s an issue that I’m really conscious of, even when I’m just going to my lectures or the shop. The skin gets a little red and so dehydrated and it’s really obvious. A lot of people ask me if I’m ill when this happens. So, my dodgy eyes were not exactly on my list of things to pack to go away. ENTER LIZ EARLE EYE BRIGHT. I started using this on the first night, I didn’t even read that it was an eye make-up remover and just used it as an eye treatment. I used a cotton pad to put it on my eyes, and it felt really refreshing which I thought was a good sign as my skin is really sensitive and usually burns when things come in to contact with it. I left it on for around ten minutes then washed it off before going to bed. By the third day I did notice that the dryness on my lids had gone, and for the first time ever they felt soft and didn’t randomly start burning. Even my father commented on the massive difference it had made. I’m definitely going to buy a full size version of this when I run out of this one.

I don't understand the good reviews for this product. This is merely witch hazel toner, marketed as a soothing, eye brightening treatment! Firstly, how can a liquid that is not applied to the eyes make them feel soothed and appear brighter. This will not help soothe tired or red, itchy eyes. And please beware of soaking cotton pads with this product (as recommended by Liz Earle) and placing on or under the eyes. I did this and left the cotton pads under my eyes for about 5-10 minutes and when I removed the pads, I had extreme redness and irritation on the skin around and underneath my eyes. Again, I do not know what on earth a company is thinking when they use an irritating astringent like witch hazel in an eye treatment product. This was disappointing as I generally like Liz Earle products.

Great product, recommended if you got tired, itchy and red eyes, especially when you don't get much sleep or spend 12 hours daily in front of the computer. I usually pour it on cotton pads and place on my eyes for 1 or 2 minutes evening or morning, just to soothe and/or de-puff my eyes.
It also removes the residue of yesterday's eye makeup.
------
UPDATE 20/03/2012
-----
As much as I loved its soothing and de-puffing properties, I wouldn't repurchase because of the 'bad' ingredients.
Aqua (water), Hamamelis virginiana (witch hazel) water, PEG-60 almond glycerides, Glycerin, Aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice, Decyl glucoside, Panthenol, Centaurea cyanus (cornflower) extract,
Euphrasia officinalis (eyebright) extract, Potassium sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, Benzoic acid, Dehydroacetic acid, Polyaminopropyl biguanide, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium methylparaben, Sodium propylparaben.

This is a really really good product. It is a lovely gentle yet effective eye make up remover and quite the best treatment for tired, dry, dull eyes if soaked into cotton wool pads and applied for a few minutes. It unfailingly improves the brightness of the whites and any dryness / puffiness or morning lines.
A real life saver to have in the bathroom cabinet and one I wouldn't want to be without. Wish I'd discovered it long ago.
I suppose as an eye makeup remover it is pricey but as it doubles up as a treatment that actually works I consider it a real bargain.

This is expensive for what it is but I find it is so worth it. I had eye surgery a number of months ago and find the area around my eyes can be very puffy and stingy in the mornings especially. This just soothes my eyes and takes that horrible puffy feeling away. It also removes any residue of eye makeup I have missed the night before. I must try leaving a cotton pad soaked in it in the fridge overnight. I'm sure that must really waken tired, swollen, sore eyes up!

I really like this, I often put some on a cotton pad in the mornings, and my eyes feel more awake instantly and look fresher. Also great if you put the pad into the fridge( or you could keep the bottle in the fridge) as this is especially cooling and refreshing.

I have this as a travel size, and to be honest I really feel this is a completely pointless product.
I've seen no benefit. I think the product is ridicously overpriced. There are definitely a lot more, cheaper, just as effective treatments out there.
Cucumber, teabags and cold spoons. I say no more.

I bought the eye brightening tonic- the trial size- but I also have the brightening tonic, and to be honest that feels like it does the same thing. The tonic is fresh, makes my eyes look less puffy, and does feel really refreshing. However-I would hold off on buying this again- purely because the instant brightening tonic does the same thing IMO.

Quote "Liz earle's stuff is also very expensive for a line that claims not to advertise and use 'natural' products (which aren't all)." --from a previous reviewer.
Not sure what else this person is comparing the price to of Liz Earle products, but they seem very reasonable considering the ingredients are very beneficial, much of which are natural. As far as I know they class themselves as active botanicals ie; pure Vit E etc, but they don't claim to be 100% natural. Compared to something like Philosophy or Simple which is full of un-natural ingredients, and hundreds of other brands that put ridiculous prices on their 'wonder' products. And they don't advertise, not just a 'claim', their popularity was built on word of mouth and free good press reviews, which is enough to convince me! Thrilled it is now av. in the U.S.
Aside from that the product is great for tired eyes, very gentle and has a nice blend of ingredients to calm the eye area. I use it as an eye make-up remover too. A pity the packaging lets the products down, not very imaginative and the colour reminds me of grandma style :(

I'm a little confused at to the purpose of this product. I have used eyebright (eyphrasia) before from a health food shop and it was a bit of a faff to use but you could use it to clean out eyes (animals too).
However this has witch hazel in it which means you can't do this. It just stung my eyes even when I just put soaked cotton wool pads on them after I'd been staring at a computer screen all day.
I suppose you can use as an eye make up remover but cleanse and polish does that. (I prefer l'occitane's cleansing water)
would not repurchase on its own, luckily i only tried a small 50ml bottle. Liz earle's stuff is also very expensive for a line that claims not to advertise and use 'natural' products (which aren't all).

I received this product as a free gift after ordering other items from the Liz Earle Website before Christmas. Talk about good timing. This was my trusted companion during the festive period of late nights and partying. It soothed tired bloodshot eyes and made them brighter. Due to having to prioritise my spending in order to afford the cleanse and polish product, I cant afford to buy this soon. However will definitely be purchasing in the summer to help both me and my daughter with our heavy bloodshot eyes due to hayfever.

I've received this with my order as a -very generous- sample. I use it first thing in the morning, before I even cleanse my face, especially after a long night of studying or little sleep. It depuffs, calms and soothes like nothing else. I absolutely love it and will definitely buy when I'm done with my sample. It also took off left over mascara that I hadn't noticed the night before when I had cleansed my face with the Cleanse & Polish. It's perfect.

This product is just amazing! It removes all my eye make up (there's alot of it) and leaves my eyes feeling soothed and revitalised, this is brilliant for contact lens wearers and people with sensitive eyes... and at the price it's worth giving it a try!

Love this product! I have really sensitive eyes and they can really get sore and sting - especially at the end of the day after I take my eye makeup off. I soak 2 cotton wool pads with this and hold place them over my eyes for a minute or so and it really soothes them. It makes them feel cooler and less irritated and scratchy. Would highly recommend this for those with a similar problem, or those with an allergy which causes eye irritation.

This is an amazing product, it wakes the eyes up like nothing else and is just the best eye compress, really refreshens and makes the eyes look much more tired.
I also used Liz's tip of leaving it in the fridge and its so gorgeous and cooling.
