Youthful Radiance is a product like many these days, that's heavy on the silcones. Many of the silicone products I've tried lately are weighty and very thick. This product is much lighter, but still has the velvety slip of the cones. The word used on the Dr Loretta website to describe its effect is 'lustrous'. It's a good term to talk about the way it leaves the skin. Not shiney, not glowy, but smooth, with pore and imperfection veiling(blurring) properties. The silicones are then carriers for lipids to build and protect the skin barrier. Thus this is a very practical and effective formulation that makes a good makeup base, or good environmental shield. I just like the way it makes my skin look, especially when I don't wear makeup(most of the time.) It doesn't add any 'grease' to the skin, and keeps my skin matte throughout the day. I'm 48, aging skin that's getting lax, beginning wrinkles, large pores, combo skin.
