Love the color on me .I am blonde with blue green eyes..Hate the texture..do not like the tube ,try closing this in the dark without messy up the peak..Does anyone know of a very similar shade that is better quality?Thanks ,this is my very first day as a member. I LOVE makeup..

This is the perfect red for anyone with an olive undertone, whether you've been wearing red lipstick for a long time or if you're just starting out--because on the first application it goes on sheer if you're lips are really pigmented, but you can build it easily to a beautiful opaque tarte red. It brightens up my skin. There's also a quality to it I can't explain; it makes my lips looks softer when blotted matte. And it still makes my lips look plump after being blotted and there's something very feminine about its affect. And it's long-lasting!
It IS an orange-based red, so cool-toned beauties, I would stay away! (Unless of course you want it for yourself for a unique, artistic reason. Everyone's different!)
I absolutely love it and am going into a panic because I recently visited my Target and it wasn't there anymore! I will be hunting it down. My signature lipstick.

I really love the packaging and color of this product. The packaging is classy and pretty. The color is beautiful: It isn't totally in your face and I cannot describe it by saying orange or blue, it is honestly just a true red. It is dark, like you would want a red to be and looks gorgeous next to my fair complexion and dark features. The formula however is not so great, it comes off like I don't know what. Over lipliner though, it is a little better. Even though the the constant reapplication is absolutely inevitable with this lipstick, it really doesn't matter because it's that pretty in color. You should definitely try it, it cannot be missed, because it's seriously that good. Repurchase all the way.

I have just purchased this product and I am totally in love with it!!! Its wonderful deep red colour matches perfectly with my pale skin and makes a great contrast with my dark eyes and hair. It is the perfect red colour for a brunette! It is very moisturising like a lip balm and leaves my lips soooo soft and supple. I loooove it!!! I would definitely rebuy it and I think I am going to purchase some more colours of the star secrets lipsticks!!!!

Love this red, it's not orange or blue, just right. Not very good staying power, a little more glossy than creamy (compared to 220 Earth Rose). The cosmetic girl at Pharma Plus swatched this out for me and we discovered that out of all the reds in the drug store, this was the best. Without hesitation I would buy this again.

Absolutely gorgeous! Very flattering on this CCC. Intense red that can be applied sheerly or built up for more color. Moisturizing and lasted a decent amount of time.

I didn't care for the original Penelope's red, but this one looked like a deeper blood-red version. When I tried it on though, it has an orangy cast to it though it's not as sheer as the first one. Has the L'oreal lipstick smell, but no taste.
