I purchased this pencil on a whim as I "needed" a new liner. It costs about 6 bucks at Target for a standard size pencil and smudger at the tip. The smudger, I must say, was a bit rough albeit spongy, but it didnt really have a use. I would've preferred that extra bit to have been replaced by more pencil but it's out of my power. As for the pencil itself, it is very soft but not soft to the point that the delicate breeze from the batting of an eyelash will completely total the point... but it is soft. I found myself sharpening this pencil often, or maybe that was just me trying to get through it so I could buy another eyeliner :). In any case, the pencil was not good for drawing sharp lines and flicks, but more for soft definition of the lash line and the waterline. Staying power was normal for my eyes considering they are rather oily, although it did transfer throughout the day from lashline to my crease, but thats more due to my anatomy, ymmv. S'okay...

This eyeliner is brilliant. It's very black but not overpowered black-very wearable still. I can use this of a day without it being too dramatic. I love it.

I have this is black and brown. I bought each ne with a voucher so they cost me £2.50 each. I bought the brown as I fell in love with black. I use the brown as an eybrow pencil and it is perfect and lasts ll day.
I have real trouble applying eyeliner but find these glide on and are really soft on the skin with no dragging.
The colour is sublte and mistakes can be easily rectified with the smudger at the other end of the pencil,if you want a really striking black then a liquid product may be best as I find these colours not as dark.
Great staying power and easily removeable.

This product works great. I bought it in Black and it certainly is that! It has a strong colour, this one is actually black not some greyish non-black colour you get when you buy a low quality eye pencil. It has a hardish feel to it not to squishy and it stays sharp for quite long. I also thought it was worth the money.

I love, love, love this eyeliner!! I use it every single day for going out and it stays on for ages!! It's great for smudging too, if you want to do a smokey eye effect! I have recommended this product to so many people and I will probably keep using it for as long as I possibly can!

I just needed a classic black eye pencil when I saw this at Target. I loved the blending tool on the opposite end. I used this eyeliner in a swimming class for 4 months and it never faded, flaked or let me down. Overall, this is a great backup eyeliner if my gel runs out. It glides on nice and smooth.

Bought this with no7 voucher.
Needs a bit of practice before you realise what a good product it is. The pencil is soft and creamy and glides on nicely. I prefer the chunkyness of the pencil as you can create a smoky effect with the smudger bit.
Sometimes it does leave a mark on my eyelid which is terrible, i find myself wiping it off during the day. Perhaps eye primer may help.
Nevertheless, its a good product, I will repurchase again for sure. Love the softness of the application.
The glittery version of this pencil is uber soft and creamy, so will purchase this too!

I bought this eyeliner in Blue Grey. I got this because I was looking for a grey eyeliner and didn't really find any with the other brands. I figure I would try this since it's $7, not too bad considering other brand name eyeliners costing around $18. The color is not that intense or too pigmented, but it's ok because I'm not looking for an intense color anyways. I have swipe it over 2-3 times for the colors to show up nicely, it's a nice greyish blue/indigo color. It defines my eyes and the color is not too harsh for underneath my eyes. It doesn't transfer to my upper lids or smudges too much. For the price, it's not too bad.

I have been using this eyeliner for about a year now and its amazing. I first brought it when I received my £5 boots vouncher so got it for £2.50, which is great. Mine doesnt smudge at all. I always wear heavy eyeliner even in the day, and have tried many eyeliners, but I dont bother anymore as I have found the perfect one for me. I always buy backups, and whenever I get that voucher, I dont bother looking for anything new at the No7 counter, as I know I'll need this :)

Boots no. 7 Amazing Eyes Pencil has several claims as an eyeliner. It states that it is a "long wearing and silky smooth" eye pencil. I stumbled upon this product while searching for a relatively healthy eyeliner. I bought the 05 black eyeliner and since I used at least half of the product, I can say that I believe the claims are false.. with the exception that AT LEAST the product can still be used as a decent eyeliner. This eyeliner does not last long and can easily smudge off so be prepared for additional application. Beware: >> the smudger tool attached to the eyeliner could (easily) fall off. <<

Not very pigmented. I have to DRAG it across my skin to get enough color. Sharpens okay though. I like the smudger on the opposite end of the pencil.
But in general- do not like.

Creamy, smudgy, and slightly soft. Boot's "Amazing" Eye Pencil is anything but.
I applied this to my waterline and topped it off with both translucent face powder as well as black eye shadow. I even applied baby powder underneath my eye to help with excess moisture in case of smudging.
Yet in only 30 minutes worth of time, my eye liner had vanished, and only a small charcoal black smudge of residue remained.
Though the price is average, the effectiveness of this pencil is awful. I've used cheaper eye liner pencils that lasted twice as long on my waterline.
Maybe if used on the upper lid this pencil would work, but since I don't look my best with upper lining, using this pencil was a mere waste of my time. I wouldn't ever repurchase.

Bought the black one using a £5 off voucher for No.7, but I wouldn't buy it without - it's about £7 or something, which is WAY too much for this eyeliner.
From reading the other reviews, it seems like the black colour is much better than the others - it does stay on pretty well, although I think it is a bit difficult to apply.
Also, I think it will be pretty difficult to sharpen because it's made of this hard plastic that will probably splinter, but I've only used it a couple of times so I'll have to wait and find out.
Overall, I won't buy this again because full price I think it is way too expensive.

Great product, i got it on special at Boots when i was on holiday. pencil is soft, easy to sharpen, and colour stays put. Sure by the end of day its a bit smudgy, but i still havent really found an eyeliner that stays put all day without some smudging!
i'd buy this product again.

This is quite a good eye pencil. It's very soft and gentle on the eye line which I was not expecting. You may have to swipe a few times to get more of a darker look and touch ups are needed as with any eye pencil. But it's a good cheaper alternative to some of the higher end prodcuts.
The smudger on the end has pretty much no use for me, but the pencil overall looks nice and expensive, well presented. I got this in black might try some of the other shades next time as they look interesting :)

This is a review for the No7 Metallic eye pencil in gold.
The pencil is really well packaged and looks like a NARS pencil. The gold colour is an antique gold. On the hand it blends well and has a metallic sheen i.e. no glitterball effect.
However on the eye you have to press in order to get pigment, the pencil goes on unevenly and leaves blobs, yes BLOBS of product and is hard to blend or remove.
From my limited experience this is the worst e/l I have tried. (Elizabeth Arden-too hard, GOSH-near perfect, POP, pretty good stuff, Bedhead-awful and rimmel-average).
I wanted it for the inner corners. It accentuated and highlighted crepiness. I'm glad I had a free voucher for this because I would go near it again.
I do however highly recommend the silvery gold metallic eye pencil by it's baby sister brand 17-soft, easy to blend and no crepiness!

For the price I expected a lot from this. I got this one in the BLACK color and it smuged and travelled even more so than the revlon colorstay eyeliner I've been using. It also faded within an hour later. I expected the Boots eyeliner to be better than the Revlon I've been using but I was wrong. Please save your money, I really regret purchasing this.

I purchased this in LEAF and WOW. What a gorgeous color. Its almost like an olive green with gold in it. I love it!! This stuff has amazing staying powder and doesnt run or get smudgy at all!! It does come with a smudger on one end though in case u want to smoke it out. I LOVE this liner! The leaf color looks great with a bronze smokey eye :)

I'm really impressed with this! I've recently started using pencil liner under my eyes (I use liquid on my lids) and had used the Jemma Kidd Stay-Put which I was a bit undecided about as it didn't really stay-put as much as I'd like! But I wondered if it was because I opted for the grey one and decided to give it another go and purchase the black. However it appears that the Jemma Kidd line has been discontinued at Boots (for ref I have since found out Space NK are now stocking this range). After trawling round and trying loads of eyeliners on the back of my hand -high and low-end- I was ready to give up and then I tried the No 7 Amazing Eyes. I don't normally bother much with Boots-own make-up, I'm not usually that impressed, but this seemed to have more staying power (though always hard to tell on your hand!) so I bought it and so-far I like it! The trick is to keep it sharpened, when I use it when its a bit more blunt I don't get such good, lasting results. It's a proper dark black and it lasts better than the Jemma Kidd-saves me a trip to space NK! At under £7 it's quite a bargain and I got a £5 off voucher for No 7 so I may just use it to buy another pencil to keep in stock!
