This broke me out in places that I NEVER have issues with. So many clogged pores and pimples on my chin. I warn anyone with acne prone skin NOT to purchase.

This is my HG moisturizer, and no matter what I try--nothing compares to this (for me). I concur with the reviewer below! It is light, yet very moisturizing; it soaks into the skin and makeup applies beautifully over it. This is the only moisturizer I've tried that doesn't exacerbate oil production (most make me an oily mess), it doesn't clog or break me out, it doesn't give me any allergic reaction, and my skin is smooth and lovely when I use it. This is mild enough for my extra-oily sensitive skin, yet, tough enough to fully deal with any Retin A and exfoliation flakies. Am done wasting money looking for (trying/tossing) a cheaper alternative; this is what works for me. It's done right by me for 5 years now.

This moisturizer is in a word: AWESOME. I'm surprised it didn't get better reviews. I have OFF THE CHARTS oily skin and I try anything and everything that says "matte" or "Oil control". This is one of the best moisturizers ever and I really realized it when I ran out. I was using my Dr. Brandt moisturizer and it just doesn't have the same staying power as the Dr. Dennis Gross. Yes, it's expensive but you can get it cheaper than $75 if you look around. Even if that wasn't the case I would buy because it is THAT good for skin

I got a sample of this for two uses. I found this to be an ok moisturizer. It really was nothing special, but it was not useless either. I find the smell a little odd. It is not a fresh smell. It just smells odd. I peronsally do not like it. Luckily the smell does wear off. I would not personally purchase this because I do not think it is worth the higher price tag.

I am absolutely *loving* this moisturiser. Background info: 21 years old, combo and sensitive skinned. Prone to redness. Recently my skin became even more sensitive so i've minimised my skin routine to cleansing with La Roche Posay Lipikar Syndet, moisturising with hydra pure oil free and using Chantecaille Jasmine and Lily healing mask on dry spots overnight. Within two weeks, my skin has become completely even with no congestion, blemishes or irritation.

Now back onto the product.
Pros:
- Doesnt break me out or cause congestion.
- Light consistency (I apply this with damp hands) and sinks in straight away.
- Works well under makeup.
- Doesn't irritate.
- Most oily to combo skins will find this moisturising enough. Im combo (can be oily in t zone, dry on cheeks) and this is perfect for my tzone (i add extra moisturiser in dry areas).
- Helps skin clarity (skin just seems more even, no idea why).

Cons:
- Pricy, especially in Aus. Not an issue for me because I dont mind spending on skincare.
- The package is a little strange, not sure if there is any waste of product.
- The smell might bother some but i find it neutral.

Overall, I will repurchase over and over. Love love love.

EDIT: 17 August 2012- No longer using this as I am dryer than I was when I wrote this review. Will still keep the lippies as the product has it's merits (my skin is just fickle).

Great moisturizer. It does not break out my skin and it does what it suppose to do without leaving a greasy feeling.

I normally have pretty decent skin--usually no pimples--and yet I am still always trying to find the BEST moisturizer. I purchased this and used it for about a week. The first week was great but then I started to get these HUGE cystic bumps on my chin. I had never in my life had more than one pimple at a time and there I was with at least five HUGE ones on my chin that were no where close to coming out. It was terrible. I immediately got off it and started using my old skin care regime and in about a week it was OK. But it was the most awful experience ever. So needless to say, I will not re-purchase.

Good moisturizer for aging combination skin. A little pricey but definitely better than La mer, which is too heavy on my easy break-out face. Don't have expiration date marked on the package tho.

I LOVE this moisturizer! I have combination skin. Usually when I wake up, my face is very oily, even if I put on a "light" moisturizer the night before. However, with this moisturizer, my face feels hydrated without being oily. My skin loves it!

I loved the idea of this moisturizer (light, "pure", oil-free), but it just wasn't hydrating enough. I have oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin that has a few pesky dry patches at times. I don't think it added to my oil and acne problems, but it just didn't do much for the dry patches. This is a fairly expensive moisturizer, so I was expecting much more for the cost. If it was cheaper, I would consider buying again.

I have been using this product for two years. This is a great oil-free moisturizer, especially for those with sensitive skin and/or acne-prone skin. As someone with a combo skin, I found it difficult to find a great oil free moisturizer that moisturizes the cheeks and doesn't make the t-zone super greasy and causing breakouts. But this product does what I need it to do. I'm not sure that it prevents break-outs, but it definitely does not cause breakouts.

I use this both in the morning and at night. When applied in the morning, it keeps the face moisturized all day long. When applied at night, your face will feel hydrated and super supple in the morning.

I have tried to find a less expensive moisturizer, but have not found one yet.

This is pricey for a moisturizer, but I keep it around because it really does a great job at (1) adding a decent, but not ridiculous amount of moisture to my combination oily/dehydrated acne-prone skin so I get nourishment and don't dry out in dryer-prone areas, but I don't gleam in my T-zone. (2) Smoothing and Plumping my skin so it looks better texture-wise as far as my fine-lines and acne scars go (3) Softening my skin so it feels nicer all day. (4) Not irritating my skin or eyes and not causing me to breakout. And, I really like the consistency- a lightweight, but at the same time rich gel/cream that is fragrance-free.

I don't use it everyday, because I even though I use the same serums day and night, I have so many and like to alternate my moisturizers, which range from being lightweight to heavier, some being like this one, and some of them being like more of a makeup primer. Anytime that I use hydra-pure, it always gives me great results and makes my skin look nice. For me it provides enough moisture that it can be used alone and all around the eye area, or you can use and layer it in combination with other treatments/ products because it's light enough and doesn't feel sticky or heavy when doing so.

I also like the airtight packaging and knowing the ingredients aren't compromised because they're not exposed to air and germs every time I open it to use it.

Usually, any time I put on any moisturizer, it remains shiny until I apply a powder on over it, but I can honestly say that this is one of the only moisturizers that, once absorbed, doesn't look shiny on my skin, even with out a powder over it. At the same time it keeps my skin feeling soft and not tight at all. Makes my skin actually look alright when I don't have my foundation on- and I am a full-coverage foundation wearer most of time time. This is a must for me on those days.

Overall, great balancing and nourishing moisturizer for a skin type that's all over the place, like mine. I will continue to repurchase unless I can find a cheaper alternative that delivers as well as this does.

Great moisturiser. The bottle is not transparent, so I can never tell when I'm about to run out of it. For those of you using it, I used three pumps every morning for about three months before it was totally gone (I even broke open the bottle to make sure I had gotten every last little bit).

I liked the texture and scent of this moisturizer. I like light lotions as opposed to creams usually. I am also very sensitive to smell, but this moisturizer has a nice light smell. Unfortunately, I think this product causes little bumps and pimples on my face. Also, sometimes it isn't quite moisturizing enough and my face feels tight. At $75 a bottle, I was hoping for something that didn't cause breakouts.

I just started using this with the firming antioxidant serum on Saturday (it is Turesday). I can say, I do like this so far. It does not leave my skin oily like the Kate Somerville did and it seems to sink in. I am going to continue to use this for 30 days and see how I like it, but so far so good. I just discovered this line and was thrilled to see the positive reviews!! Thanks guys for all of your input.
UPDATE: January now and I am still loving this stuff.

What I love about this product is that it travels well. It's less than three ounces so you can carry it on a plane and it opens and closes with just a twist. My combination requires oil-free products and this one has a great texture. I buy it on mdskincare.com because they don't charge shipping.

i just got started on a couple of products from the md skincare line early february because i was breaking out on the hormonal tip. prior to using this moisturizer, i had only been using repechage c serum because apparently anything even remotely creamy will seep into my pores and clog them. but i took a chance and tried this at my new school dermatologist's recommendation (against the advice of my old school aestetician) and within three weeks, i had small (not the erupt-able kind) skin colored bumps everywhere! EVERYWHERE. so it managed to clog my pores and i quit the stuff. which is sad because it wasn't cheap. i was tripping off the price. i didn't know it was 75 bux until you pointed that out to me. you know how you just pick up the tab at the end of a dermatology session and you're already sad about the price so you just pay and try to move on. it was like that. i hadn't itemized in my head what the damage was. and there was damage financially and facially so i am not a fan. but i love those daily peels so i am not at dr gross.

Love the moisturizer, hate the price and packaging. It's hard to get all the moisturizer out and at $75 USD for 1 oz it's TOTALLY expensive. But I'm on my 6th tube of it and I keep going back. I even tried a bunch of other moisturizers to find something less expensive but I can't find anything that I like near as much as this one. You got me MD Skincare. I'm hooked.

I may change my mind, but for the price, I don't see where this product is anything special! I am going to use it every day for a week and if I don't see some seriously hydrated, happy, clear skin, it's going back so I can get my $75.00 back!!! It doesn't seem to be holding a candle to my Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Anti-Blemish Clear Skin Cream...and it wasn't even fifteen bucks! Will be back to update if anything changes...

PS: It doesn't wear too well under makeup and is hardly sweat proof...

On my Third Bottle of this stuff. I like it because it is very light and makes my skin feel great. It helps to minimize pores and leaves a matte finish, while getting rid of minor redness and irritation. It also moisturizes very well at the same time. The only downside to it is that for me, it doesnt prevent acne. But, it doesn't make it worse either.
