This is the only scrub I have ever found that doesn't make my face go red and raw after I've used it, yet it's still strong enough that my skin is brighter and clearer after I've used it. I find it particularly good for black- and white-heads, or oily areas like my T-Zone, where my pores are larger and tend to clog. Great for reduction in pore size, though if you are really sensitive only use it once a week and be sure to moisturize afterwards.

This is my favorite scrub ever and I really can't live without. I have sensitive skin and this is the only one I found so far that is gentle enough to use regularly without drying my face. It's also brightening, so much that the days I don't use it people comment that I look tired. The fact that it's sugar based makes it moisturizing. Finally, it lasts me a long time, like 7 months for one tube that I use every second day.

This stuff is good. I have been using it about 6 months or so and it is a nice scrub. In the beginning I didnt really notice anything special, it just made my skin soft. After reading a couple tips on here I found the best way to get the most out of this product. Now given, my skin is very oily and acne prone, with large pores. So it is not Super sensitive. The best wayI have found is to use in the shower after you wash your face. Massage over skin about 2 miutes then let it set in like a mask while you shower, usually about 10-15 minutes. Afterwards... OMG! My skin feels incredibly soft and clean. It looks more even toned and radiant. This is a natural product made with fruit so it makes me feel I am pampering my skin and with something pure and not harsh chemicals. I always follow with a toner and moisturizer. I use this about once a week along with the modern friction and together they keep my skin looking absolutely flawless. A little pricey about $30 but it is natural so you get what you pay for, remember that. Also the texture is kinda sticky but the smell is divine. I would also recommend if you are not willing to splurge on a scrub trying the St. Ives apricot scrub, it is cheap and works well. I took away one lippie because the packaging is just annoying me to no end. Not very practical for the shower or travel.

For a while there, I really liked this, I thought it's very gentle but effective. Then I bought a jar of Modern Friction while I still had this, and I started using one a week, the other one the next week, so on and so forth.

Compared to Modern Friction, this is much gentler, but after a while, I started feeling like it did nothing to my skin, so I stopped using it.

I love the smell and nice sticky texture of this product. It made my skin a little smoother and nicer in texture, but the effect was not significant. Give the price, I would not prefer this to some cheaper yet more effective scrubs.

This is probably the best non-peel type scrub I have ever tried (The peel ones with aluminium powder do exfoliate better but I think they are too harsh to use very regularly). Previous to this I had tried the typical scrubs with ground apricot stones/small plastic spheres and they really did nothing for my slightly oily but a bit flaky skin. But since finding this scrub about 8 years ago I haven't looked back: Iit exfoliates with grains but also with natural papaya enzymes that 'eat up' the dead skin cells, it smells lovely and the texture is luxurious, you skin feels amazing after you use it - plus a tub lasts forever (tp: leave it to act on your skin for a couple of minutes before rinsing off).

It took me a while to figure out the best way to use this on my skin. As a general scrub, it did almost nothing for me, so I put it away for a few months. Then one day it occurred to me that it had fruit enzymes - something that needed time on the skin to work well. So now I get in the shower, wash my face, and put this on. Then I leave it on the rest of the 10 or 15 minutes I'm in there, and wash at the end. I come out with clean, glowing, even-toned skin now! I can't believe I almost threw this away.... anyone who doesn't like it, give it one last try!!

This did ABSOLUTELY nothing for my skin!!!! It's actually a little on the harsh side also! I think this is a good choice for someone who has perfect skin already, but if one is really looking for a polisher to enhance skin tone, brightness, and/or clarity then this is not the answer!

I love this stuff. For anyone who has any complaints about it not having enough 'beads' or that it doesn't exfoliate enough- this is a skin POLISHER, not a scrub. However, I still find that it exfoliates well and is gentle enough for every day use. *Tip- for further exfoliation, leave on for an additional 2 minutes without scrubbing.* I find myself looking forwards to washing my face every morning & night now because of this product- it smells heavenly! The smell wakes me up and the product leaves my skin feeling smooth, soft, supple, and very polished. They don't advertise this as being an acne product, but my skin is prone to acne around the chin and hairline and this has cleared it up. I would highly recommend to anyone curious, you'll just have to try this amazing product for yourself!

PS- One cons I have about this product is packaging. It would had been more sanitary to have it in a tube or bottle.

This has much more goo than the beads like, 80% goo and 20% beads. That's why i think it's not enough to exfoliate my face thoghrally. The beads are microscopically small compared to the other brands i've ever used. It doesn't do much for my skin, even right after i washed it off.

Maybe it's because i have oily skin, i need more powerful stuff... going back to St.Ives

It smells really nice -- fruity, and it brightens up a little. The grains are quite rough for a polisher. Too bad we have to dip our hands in the pot. But there are other cheaper alternatives such as St. Ives.

This did nothing for me. I used it with the accompanying cleanser, and my skin didn't look brighter over time. This is a very gooey cleanser and while its consistency made it a more gentle cleanser than others, it was really hard to rinse off. Be prepared to have bits of this left in your hair, brows etc. I also didn't like the packaging, you have to dip your fingers into a gooey jar to get to it. I would much prefer a squeeze tube.

this is my HG 1x week physical scrub. It's not as abrasive as other scrubs I've tried; it leaves my skin very smooth and soft. It takes a little effort to completely rinse but it's a small price to pay for a good scrub. The scent is like ginger and papaya; it's got a very "green" fragrance. I will purchase again.

Like the name suggests, this is a face POLISHER, not a heavy duty exfoliant. It is not meant to be harsh scrub, but that's its appeal. It is much more gentle, but still takes off the outer layer of the skin and leaves a bright, soft, polished finish :)
Personally I prefer scrubs that dont have massive granules that scratch your face (plus, contray to popular belief, scrubbing the crap outta oily/acne prone skin only strips the skin of its moisture, so it over-compensates and produces MORE oil). This is a great alternative, it only has small granules that are cushioned in a fruit souffle that polishes the skin leaving it silky soft (not tight or dry). It's magic ingredient is papaya - papaya is actually a fruit that has been scientifically (and independantly) proven to be grear for the skin. So whether you eat it or put it on your face - papaya is tops!
Although I wouldnt reccommend it be used every day (unless you have normal super-easy going skin) it could certainly be used anywhere from 1-3 times a week (in addition to a more gritty exfoliant, that should only be used once a week).
Everything in it is natural, so if you don't like the smell get over it, its just fruit and better than having artifical fragrances in your skin care (which can inflame and irritate).
Loses a lippy for the packaging - would prefer a tube to a pot (hygenic reasons).
Another good Origins product!

I quite like this scrub. I think its better for summer months as it does not provde me with the in-depth deep down exfoliation that i like. Its really a luxury item. Its good for a light exfoliation if you have sensitive skin. It has a sticky texture and is better used on a damp , instead of wet face. It also can be left on for 5 - 10 minutes for a quick face mask. Nice but i'll be sticking to my Neutrogena Blackhead eliminating scrub - much cheaper and nicer for my skin.

I like the way this stuff smells. It's not the best exfoliater I've used, I think the grains may be too big to really refine and smooth skin. Didn't notice any big difference in brightness. It's just a luxury item that I pick up every once in a while because it smells amazing.

I used this product a couple of years ago when my skin was normal, but at the moment my skin is suffering from acne and irratation.
A good product to use to exfoliate and brighten up the skin, but not the best product to use when you have breakouts as it can irratate the skin.
It smells lovely and comes in a huge container that lasts months seeing as you shouldn't really use it more than twice a week.

This product is solely for sensitive or dry/extremely dry skin or with broken capillaries as it is so gentle and no scrubing action involved. Perfect for those who's skin absolutely cannot torlerate such brutal treatment. I guess this mask works for me. All you'll need to so is slap on this mask for a few minutes and let the enzyme do their job and wash off. My skin is smoother and guess it removes dead skin as well (I'm not sure as I don't have any visable or thick dead skin so it's very hard to tell ).

I think it is an exellent product PROVIDED YOU FIT INTO THE CATEGORY MENTIONED ABOVE. If you have normal skin, skip this and go for something else. I bought this mask out of desperation as my skin is getting weird and my foundation is constantly smearing and sitting on top of my skin. I reckoned it has something to do with my dead skin so I bought this. My condition improved and I guess the mask has done its job.

I use this mask everyday. I don't care what people said about exfoliating mask that you shouldn't use it everyday. It is a thick mask and you have to dig your fingers directly into the tub to extract the product and like another reviewer has mentioned, it takes some time and lots of water to remove it. Anyway I enjoy every bit of it and the bottomline is it works !! Will repurchase and our options are truely limited. Most masks requires scrubbing which is very too drying and brutal for our sensitive skin.

I got it as a present and like using scrubs and exfoliators. I find it ok but hard to get it out of your face once it is applied. You have to wash away with lots of water as it is quite sticky. Nice perfume and lasts for ages. Not as great exfoliator as Helena Rubinstein's Art of Spa body scrub. I have used this on the face too and it works wonders!
