I bought this product as recently i noticed have a lot of wrinkles around my lips and normal lip balm does not seem to work on my dry lips. I have used this product nightly and in the morning and it seems to work. Now my wrinkles have lessen considerably and I am extremely happy with the results

I am a skin product junkie esp lip products so this was another kink in the bedpost. An expensive one at that! Its good to have and use up but ive had better lip products. I like the consistency and has a lovely rich texture on the lips. its a rich balm and goes on easily and does moisturise. It leaves my lips feeling softer even after its worn off but it doesnt last compared to even simple much less costly lip products. Theres alot of product in the pot which maybe justifies its cost a little. I might repurchase this if im feeling extra generous to myself. And would recommend it for a good premium lip product if you have the disposable cash.

Again, I have worked for Clarins in the past so I get most of this stuff free. This is also MY opinion, not the company line.
I got a pot of this and took it with me for a summer trip thinking it would be perfect. Wrong.
Packaging: big open pot. So your fingers had better be clean or it will get dirty fast. I prefer a tube applicator.
Product: it felt like a shea butter lip balm. The scent was neutral and unoffensive. The colour is off white.
Results: none to speak of. As a lip balm it had no staying power and I had to constantly reapply. As a 'treatment', no effect.
There are cheaper, more effective, more sanitary products out there. Sorry Clarins, this one was a miss.

I purchased this lip and "lip contour" treatment quite a few years ago now and mine came in a squeeze tube, not in a jar with a spatula. The tube makes it much more practical for applying and for carrying with me in my bag. This is a nice enough product and I used to apply it at night, before bed, so it could sink in and soften my lips (which it does very nicely) and do whatever it is supposed to do to my "lip contour". But since trying the other Clarins lip treatment - the one in the blue squeeze tube - I've pretty much ignored this one as I prefer the one in the blue tube that is from their "Moisture" line of products. So this isn't bad but the other one from Clarins is better!

I really wanted to like this. It has a nice rich texture and feels great, but it seems to not last and didn't help my chapped lips after weeks of use. The jar is a pain to use as well.

I have this in the jar with the spatula. Bought it before going on overseas trip as had run out of Mecca Lip Treatment (my staple) and couldnt get to Mecca before leaving. This is fantastic, I am very pleased with the performance. I already have quite full lips, and this seems to smooth and round them out at their best. It treats dryness very well, but tastes weird lol So don't eat it!!:) Deduct one lippie as the jar and spatula form is not as convenient so I can't apply when in a rush. Although as its so effective I just apply it before bed and in morning while doing makeup if needed- shouldnt really need it during day. So maybe not a handbag staple, just a bathroom staple:)

I am a chronic sufferer of dry and chapped lips. Therefore, I have tried almost all kinds of treatments and balms. I bought the Clarins one with the hope that it would help with lines on my lips. I have been using it for 3-4 months but I do not see any improvement with the lines or wrinkles. Yet it moisturizes well. It is quite a heavy cream so I can only use it at night before I go to bed. When I wake up, I have well-moisturized but still oily lips. I don't think I can wear it under a lipstick during the day. And also it has a weird smell and taste. Overall, even though I don't expect much from it as a wrinkle or lifting treatment, I will buy again as it is a good moisturizer for my chapped lips.

There seems to be some general confusion as to which product this actually is...

I bought this about 2 weeks ago. It is in a glass pot with a plastic lid, comes with a spatula included in the box. This is definitely the most recent version of this product by Clarins, it is the one pictured on their site to purchase. There is an accompanying EXFOLIATOR in a tube that you can purchase from the same range.

There WAS an older version of the balm in tube form, someone below mentioned a stick with an exfoliator on one side, which I do not know about, and have not seen on the Clarins site.

The product I am using CURRENTLY, however, is great. I wouldn't expect a good lip product to come from Clarins even though I rely on them for great faux tan for the face. It smells fruity, slightly like guava but not overpowering. It's a smooth texture which is easily picked up with the spatula and applies with a glossy finish. It is no way sticky, and hydrates and protects the lips immediately. I must admit I was surprised at how well this works. I consider myself a lip balm/treatment addict with many products in rotation, and I use this as a night treatment, and I love the feeling on my lips.

Upon application, it does plump the lips slightly and fill in small lines. I prefer a less heavy balm for day so this is great for night time. I use the spatula to pick up about the amount of the tip of the spatula, so it coats the lips well.

For those of you with incredibly chapped or cracked lips, this would provide a nourishing protection for them whilst they heal. I feel like this improves the condition of my lips and helps slow the chapping cycle.

Overall, I rate this an A. It's about $44 AU, but for how well it works I think it's decently priced. It's unique in texture and performance, and definitely does 10x more for your lips than a chapstick will.

Ok I am confused! Maybe this product was rereleased recently? The samples they were giving out were an exfoliater on one side and the moisturizer on the other. As I don't want to start a new one, I will use this one since this is the name now! Anyway, the exfoliater - you can use your own exfoliator, a washcloth, a sugar and honey mixture, or a toothbrush, they all work the same. But, the moisturizer is great. The best I have ever tried. I have so many samples that I don't need to buy it yet, but I believe I will once I run out of my samples. Use it at night, and in the morning, lips are moisturized. And in these Canadian winters, we need all the moisturizing we can get!

I have plump lips to start with. I am a bit addicted to lip balms who are promoting a more refined contour. I am not using lip plumpers like LipFusion, Lipvenom cause I simply don't need them and i think they just irritate your lips and make them redder. I have gone to simply maybe 20 Helena Rubinstein's Collagenist Lip zoom, that i wanted a change. There is a huge difference; whilst HR is a lipbalm too, this is very liquid and certainly not for chapped lips. It smells like papaya (it doesn't bother me)and is white in color. It's not harmful or sompthing, but after HR this is a huge dissapointment. A more defined lip contour for 2 minutes! I like to have lips like the girl van Gucci ENVY ME ad. HR and electelle from Gatineau are the only one who are offering such contours. Surely will not buy again. A bit useless... (sorry for bad English)

What a disappointment! I had high hopes for it cos the Extra-firming range of clarins is usually very good. Yet, for an anti-aging lip products, I expect something less watery, something that doesn't evaporate soon after applying! I wore it alone as a night treatment and woke up to feathered lips. It's a waste of my money!

The smell is terrible and I see no real benefit or difference in my lips other than the blah matte look mentioned by another reviewer. I recieved this as a sample....blech

unfortunately, poor review from me.... this does not plump up my lips nor do I see improvement on the lines on my lips.... it isn't oily but it MATTIFY my lips so much so that whatever lipstick I apply goes matt and in fact, feels rather dry though it doesn't cause any skin peelig .... even BB Lip Shine which is supposed to be sheer & moisturising becomes very dry a couple of minutes after application!.... will probably only use this at night and to use it to apply on my laughter lines as well (which can also be used for this purpose).

A little goes a long way and i have been using it for the longest time already but theres still so much in the tube. Packaging quality was a "2" as too much content always leaks out of the mouth once you unscrew the cap. Too much on the lips will leave lips too oily but only for a short while. Strong "papaya" scent for me. Overall good product in plumping out fine lines on lips. definitely smoother lips after application
