Overall, you cannot go wrong with ANY of the NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils. This one has a great bronze color, that is fabulous for smoky earthy looks. It also lasts a very long time.

A beautiful light brown with shine, brings out the best in any shadow. Great alone, under a shadow, or mixed with a shadow. Last all day, even after working out, I never need to fix it, does not crease on me and complements my skin and my eyes.

I really wanted to like this product, after seeing all the positive reviews on here. I picked it up at my local drugstore for $6.99 (I know that's expensive for NYX, everything is more expensive in Canada). When I first put it on, I was blown away by the colour- it was such a gorgeous shade of brown. But it smudged on me big time. After about 30 minutes I already looked like a train wreck- almost all the colour had transferred to my undereye area (I had used it to line my lids). I'm sure that even with primer, it would still smudge like crazy. I am so disappointed because I am in love with the colour AND it was rather expensive for NYX.
ALSO, I have to add that the packaging is a mess. The product smudged all over the packaging after the 2nd time I took the lid off. It didn't look very attractive and was just very messy. As well, it comes in the plastic tube = cannot be sharpened, so you have to depot it.
I know that a lot of people love this product, but it just doesn't work for my oily skin. Such a shame.

These pencils are fabulous! They go on smooth, and, with a steady hand and not too much application, they are decently long-lasting when used atop a primer and do not seem to crease (I've seen other people sa this but have not had it happen to me). This color is beautiful, comparable to "Smog" from the original Naked palette (but slightly darker), or "Snakebite" from Naked 2 (but slightly warmer).
This shade in particular has been very useful to me, as I use it to shade a lighter shadow and use it in my crease (way easier than dirtying a brush!). It blends out nicely with my finger, and, when set with a powder eyeshadow, it lasts a long time. Highly recommended!

I'm gettin hooked on these!
Price: $3.36 CAD
Pkg: thick pencil
Colour: deep bronzy brown
Texture: buttery
Pigmentation: full
I really love the JEP as a sticky base, meaning you're gonna want to top these babies with powder e/s or they crease like crazy. I even put a Paint Pot or Color Tattoo underneath just to be sure.

French Fries is amazing! Before I even found jumbo eye pencils, it was always mascara as my school makeup. But after discovering that there was an Ulta store that had NYX nearby, my routine changed. It was like my life changed..if you get what I mean.
French Fries is a lovely, bronzey-brown color that is perfect for any type of look whether it'd be a daytime/nautral look, or a night-out look. The ONLY thing I hate about these jumbo eye pencils is the plastic case it's in, but really, based on other reviews I've seen, it's pretty much terrible. But that's not stopping me from buying more colors! So far I have Yogurt, Milk, Cashmere, and Pure Gold. I plan on buying colorful pencils my next visit!
I don't think I will repurchase because I still have a lot of product to go, and also to be honest, I still haven't gotten to the point where I need to sharpen my jumbo pencils. It's been about three-ish months since I got this. Great product - I recommend it!

Great quality and colour that's great for a bronze summer eye! I bought this in Canada and it had all plastic package, nothing to sharpen!! So I had to depot it which was really messy and unfortunate.

I really love using French Fries as a smudgy eye liner (especially on my upper last line). I like to use a dark brown eyeliner first, than use French Fries on top. I have no problems with creasing when I wear it like this. My only problem with this product is that I have to sharpen it, but since I have the Nyx sharpener, it shouldn't be a problem. Also, the lid of the pencil tends to crack easily.

It's pigmented, buildable, goes on smoothly and is very easy to blend. It's very cheap.
I just wish it was a retractable pencil so I don't have to sharpen it every once in a while.

I really love this shadow pencil. I also own yogurt but I think I might like this one more. I used it under MAC's Woodwinked eyeshadow and it helped bring more dimension to my eyes. It really made the color pop. I can't wait to layer paler shades to warm them up. I find these don't crease if you wear a silicone primer such as UDPP or TFSI underneath with a powder shadow on top. I haven't tried them alone, but I would assume that they would crease.

The color is a slightly shimmery warm bronzey light-medium brown that is not too bronzey or dark.I imagine it could flatter anyone (it looks fine on me and bronzes/goldens usually make my pale face sickly). Like a lot of people, I use this as a base for my regular e/s when I want to bring some more warmth/light underneath my e/s. I wouldn't wear this by itself though (pretty boring by itself haha)
I put that I wouldn't re-buy simply b/c I feel like this will last forever, esp as I don't do warm brown looks much. But if you're a neutral/browns gal, you will surely like this!

Great as an eyeshadow base but you defin can't wear this alone as it creases and disappears after an hour. Very cheap and great colour!

Love the product. I use it as a base more than anything and I love using it under neutral looks I use with the naked2 palette to make it a little warmer. I find it's easy to blend out and it doesn't crease. I find it a little better than milk because it doesn't make the colour over it patchy as milk can. Only downfall is I had to depot it due to trouble sharpening and I don't have as much use for it as I'd like. I most likely will repurchase.

I have many colors of the NYX Jumbo Pencils, but French Fries is my favorite. It makes my dark brown eyes look large, soft and warm, however I use it as thick, smudgy eyeliner not really as an eyeshadow or a base. The color is true, exactly what you would expect by looking at it.
I have used this nearly every day for the past few months and I still have yet to sharpen it. I have heard nightmares about the sharpening. I have also heard you can depot these into a little jar, but I don't like applying products with my fingers and an eyeliner brush is a pain for me. The pencil form really is convenient and easy to use (so far.) The cap never comes off and there is no scent. No irritation what so ever to my eyelids or eyes.
Lastly, the NYX Jumbo Pencils stay on my lash line for many hours and do not smudge or fade at all (and I work overnight 13-16 hour shifts...) No primer, just one quick smudge with the pencil only. When it's time for removal, wipes off easily. Can't really comment on its use as a base, or on its creasing, since I don't put it all over my lid.
I find that all the colors have the same formulation and qualities. It's just personal preference what shade you like! Will buy again for sure, unless the sharpening is a problem. I do have the NYX sharpener though so it should be ok....

This brings life to my shadows that became boring. I am nc42/45 for reference. This is a gorgeous bronze color that I enjoy using as a base for brown, taupe, and for even smokey looks. The pencil is creamy and well pigmented. Blends with ease and looks very natural with my skin color and this is the shade that would suit EVERY skin color . This first time I tried this I used this alone and blended it all over my lid for an all over color and it creased like no other and I don't even have an oily lid/creasing problem that I'm aware of. But the next time I used it I patted a little bit of the regular 1$ e.l.f primer first, then a thin layer of this as an eye shadow base(it's easy to smudge),then my shadows and have had no problem. This also looks very nice with the wnw vanity palette btw. I would not recommended using this without a primer.

I love this! It is a very pretty color but it's a little dark for my everyday eye shadow, but if you press lightly its great! Of course you must wear some primer underneath..a lot of people won't use this as eye shadow but I love it! The price can't be beat! The bad things is that I have to drive an hour is the closest place to get these...:( Also if you push the lid on too tight the lid cracks..mine already cracked a lot... also i can't find a sharpener for it!!

Wow, i absolutely think the NYX Jumbo Pencils are awesome. I have reviewed these overall and a few other shades particularly so if you are interested, check out my other reviews. I am a very poor girl & put off getting any Jumbo Pencils for a little while since theyre not readily available to me & after shipping cost, they can be a little bit more than id hope to pay for them. But last year w/ NYX Annual sale, CherryCulture did a 50% off sale so i purchased a few then.
=PRICE/AVAILABILITY=
I personally cannot purchase these anywhere close, other than an Ulta about an hour away which seems impractical to drive there for these or really anything, online ends up being more cost effective. So these can be found in some local stores depending on your location as well as alot of places online. I ordered mine from CherryCulture from their site But most of the time they are on sale on Cherry Culture. So check around for cheapest price. I bought mine for around $3 or so. Generally speaking these are priced around $4 each which to me sometimes seemed expensive but really for how much you get, its not that bad at all. I put off buying any for awhile & now i think its worth around $3-4..
=SHADE/FORMULA/PERFORMANCE=
French Fries is a great neutral bronzey brown metallic pencil. Its great to use even on its own for a brown smoky look or paired w/ brown shadows. It makes them stand out & look more vivid. The metallic finish gives texture to matte shadows or add depth to more metallic or satin shadows. Its so gorgeous. One of my favorite brown cream shadows. I love the unique color since i dont have one thats like it. I have bronze shadows but this one has a golden bronze shade to it. Gorgeous! i was nervous since i wanted to purchase ones i could get alot of use out of & this one i can def use alot!
The formula on these is that of a cream shadow in stick form. These are not hard that they pull on the eye. They glide on very nicely. They do contain wax so be careful esp if you have oily lids. I have normal to dry & these do not crease. These can be placed on your eye easily in pencil form. I love the tip for more precise placement but sharpening can be a pain. You can apply these by drawing straight onto eye w/ pencil, you can use your finger from crayon to eye or use finger to blend, you can also use a brush. Any way, these go on nice. I find using my finger or brush to blend them helps significantly since the warmth will blend/move these into a nice even layer so that way, no bunches that will inevitably crease. If you have oily lids, these will not stay on their own. I highly suggests everyone to first use an eye primer (to provide a barrier between oils & lid) then using these. I rarely use these alone, i almost always top with some sort of eyeshadow or even using your face powder, dusting all over lid will helps so much too! I use these as cream bases for my powder shadows to adhere to & these do an excellent job at that. They help my shadows look even more pigmented, add texture & different undertones show thru, they also keep my shadows on longer. These on their own may hold up on normal lids for hours, depending. I have used them on their own for a quick summer look & they faded a bit but still looked pretty good. It all depends on your skin type but def use primer, USE THIN LAYERS its better to have to build up then have to wipe it all off & start all over. I think these are excellent cream bases. I love them. They make all my cheap eyeshadows look incredible!
=PACKAGING=
I like that these come in a harden plastic eyeshadow stick. I know sharpening them are a pain though. If you find a sharpener that works, great.. Ive yet to try to sharpen them yet. I know there are many videos too of how to depot them. Im not sure which way I will go- sharpen them or depot. I like the stick form but then again, it may be more practical to depot them. The sticks are white, with black labeling & info. They have a clear plastic lid that slides on/off. The lid fits pretty securely w/out falling off. I think these are really convenient if you keep them in pencil form. They contain a good amount of product. Ive had mine for quite some time & havent had to sharpen them too many times & i havent reached the point where i have to sharpen the stick or depot them. But so far, the sticks havent dried up at all & i hope they dont!
Overall,

Not my favorite, but I like it. I feel like it looks a little too "muddy" on me. Perhaps it's just not my colour! But it is nice smudged along the lash line!

I love using this pencil as a base for smoky eyes. It's great instead of primer and really adds an additional pop of color to any brown/neutral look. I never use it alone as I think it needs the buildup of other colors over it. The price can't be beat either.
