I love this mascara. They no longer make this color....craaappp. they have come out with this horrible plum color that makes my eyes look tired. I love the blue, and the way it brightened up my eye whites. ive tried other blue mascaras but none are quite the same shade. I have to keep searching for a replacement, if anyone knows of one pls let me know. Why do they have to discontinue it for.....grrrrr.
Bought some recently off of ebay. Ordered it from the UK, cost me and arm and a leg but I'm glad I was able to find it.

I do not generally spend much money on mascara, as I get a little neurotic about germs and don't use mascara often enough to warrant spending a lot of money on a new one every three months. This mascara is a pleasant exception. A reason that I don't wear mascara is because my eyes are sensitive to it and I'll find myself rubbing my eyes all day. This is good for sensitive eyes and great for brightening brown eyes.

I like this mascara. If you're looking for a neon 1980's blue then this isnt the one (unless you really build it) but it does make a nice change to black and also looks really pretty with a bronze look in Summer. Probably wouldn't buy again as I prefer the Plum coloured version, which really makes my green eyes 'pop'

why are there so many bad reviews? this stuff is great! I was so upset when they stopped carrying it at ulta and sephora, but I recently found it online and I'm so excited! I forget exactly why I liked it, but I remember it was easy to apply and the color looked fantastic! not an overpowering blue, but definitely noticeable :) love this stuff

I got this mascara for free in one issue of Seventeen Magazine. It was my first ever blue mascara so I was excited to try it. The wand was extremely long when I opened it up. When I applied the mascara on the lashes, it didn't make my lashes longer or fuller with volume. I didn't like it at all. I still have it because I got it for free but if I bought it, I would have returned it months ago.

This mascara was such a disappointment! I had tried it on at Sephora using their wonderful wispy spoolies and I have to say, I love the color. It's a navy blue, that certainly always brightened my blue-green eyes. After trying it on a dozen times, I finally shelled out the $18 for this...and it was crap! The applicator wand is thick and useless, and the tube seemed almost empty from the start, as well as the product itself, which was thick and dried out. I should have returned this, but I tried to use it for a little while and eventually just threw it away. Do not waste your money on this crap, Maybelline GL makes a great Royal Blue mascara that blows this stuff out of the water.

Hate it. Giant brush that clumps but does nothing else. I get that it should be a dark blue but sheesh... can't even tell it's any kinda blue unless maybe you're in really bright sunlight and even then you have to look really close. Very lame product.

Gee....I'm surprised by all the bad reviews. This is currently my favorite mascara...I'm always trying new ones, especially those in the purple, indigo and electric blue shades...
This is the only colored mascara thus far that I've liked. Many people here said it wasn't 'blue'. I'm not sure what they were looking for ...navy? Electric blue? In fact, this is an indigo (purple) blue. Sure, when you look at the mascara straight on, it doesn't scream 'indigo'. But it certainly is not black IMHO. And when you see your lashes against your skin, either from the side view or whatever, you can most certainly see the indigo color.
I have greenish eyes, so purple mascara looks great on me. I've tried other purplish mascaras from Urban Decay (every tube I've bought was found to be dry almost immediately after purchase) and the new Tokidoki line at Sephora (wasn't crazy over the brush and the formulation also seemed dry...)
I don't find the BeneFit mascara to be dry at all. On the contrary...I find the tube can last me a few months before drying out, whereas with the Urban Decay that I mentioned, it was dry almost immediately after opening!
I also happen to like the large brush with this BeneFit mascara, as the bristles are large enough to help with separation. And I haven't really noticed any problems with flaking either....

Pros:
-Good packaging
Cons:
-Clumps
-Gives no volume or length whatsoever
-Big wand makes it hard to apply
-Dries black, not blue
-Does NOT brighten eyes
-Gets sticky and clumpy
-Expensive compared to the quality
I could go on. I hate this mascara. I was so excited to get it, and it ended up being awful. I love BeneFit, so I was very disappointed.

This is a very average mascara. Maybe my eyelashes are too dark, but I didn't see any signs of blue. I would use it once in a while and convince myself that it is blue, but it's hard to see it unless I stare at my eyelashes in the mirror very closely.

i got this for free during an ulta promotion and its an okay mascara. the blue tint shows in sunlight tho. i wouldnt recommend using this alone, its way too blue. i put it on the tips of my lashes , just for that extra pop of color. the wand is HUGE, but i prefer the black badgal...
i wouldnt buy this when im done. just not worth it.

Okay first of all, I HATE BadGal mascara. I got it in a sale at sephora including BadGad eyeliner and a mini Benetint, it was only 20euro so I decided I'd get it and I hated it. It clumps, flakes - horrible. But everyone else loved it so I thought there was something faulty with it so I decided to re-purchase but a different colour.
The blue does not brighten your eyes as it applies navy and dries black. It clumped and it got me ages trying to create a volumed effect. I was really disappointed! Cheaper versions are just as good including Maybelline Colossal which in my opinion is better! It does have cute packaging though!

I like the wand on this mascara-- it's full and covers lashes well. The blue looks vibrant on the wand but dries a blue-black color. It's perfect for a summer look with peachy coral blush and/or lip gloss. The formula is kind of dry, but I like that it doesn't smudge everywhere like the Buxom mascara that I tried. I wouldn't use this as an everyday mascara, but it's a nice addition to my collection when I want a tropical look.

i got this from the benefit brght lights collection and while this is not my hg mascara it is a decnt one. it makes my lashes loook full n add some length to it. the brush s hugggeeee n sumtimes i get it on my eyelids...however when u wear this it is a subtle blue so if u are lookin for a blue blue color tis is not for u. if i rub my eyelashes it will flake off. i say this s meant for a natural look makin ur lashes full with a bit of volume n length. it costs a lot to buy on its own..

Is this really BLUE?! I got this from one of my MUA swap so I don't know how much this mascara costs.
Anyway, this mascara should be blue, but when I tried applying it, I can't even distinguish the bluish color. It is still black for my opinion. Even my sister was suprised when I mentioned to her that I am using a blue mascara. LOL.
Also, I don't like the brush of this mascara. It doesn't reach the far ends of my eye lashes, and I can't figure out whether this mascara gives my eye lashes volume or length.
I'm quite disappointed when I got this because it is very popular and I read a lot of good reviews about this product everywhere. But when I tried it on... It's not good at all. From its color, to its brush, to its all in all result.
Oh well.. If the blue one does not do good for me, I might as well pass on to trying the black of this mascara! Too bad! :(

I am neutral with this mascara. I don't love it and I don't hate it.
I got this for free from a promo through Seventeen Magazine, and I was kinda excited because I had heard good things about Benefit's mascaras, but had never tried one.
The pros are:
-Big brush (gives volume)
-Not clumpy upon application
The cons are:
-The color ends up under my eyes and I look like a blue raccoon at the end of the day.
-The brush is quite bendy and it gets funky after awhile.
-The blue does not work for me at all.
I think that if I had payed for this I would have given it a lesser review. I am glad that I got to try it and maybe in the future I will try more of the BadGal mascaras, but right now I'm content with my good ole MAC Plush Lash.

This mascara is $26CAD and I jsut got it on sale for $10. Even $10 was spending too much in my view.
Here's what I didn't like:
--NOT a true blue. A very deep navy blue, if anything, that basically looks black on the lashes (I have light brown eyes & med. skin - wonder if it would show up more on even fairer skin with blue or green eyes ...)
--The price, obviously; for nearly 30CAD bucks it had better be a darned good mascara!
--Brush too fat to really coat & separate each lash; hard not to clump the mascara
--For a fresh tube of mascara the formula felt quite dry.
Overall, if you want just a very subtle hue of blue on your lashes, you might like this. I was hoping for a brighter, almost cobalt blue for pop. But do keep in mind the other drawbacks ...

I am a total sucker for Benefit and usually I like their products. But I was disappointed in the Bad Gal Blue. Even on my light-brown lashes, the blue was barely discernable. And to make matters worse, it smudged. A lot. I'm not a huge fan of the black formula either - for the same smudging problem - but at least it had a thickening/volumizing quality to it. The blue did nothing for my lashes. One positive note: it washed off easily.

I don't understand why there are so many negative posts on this mascara. It is officially my HG! I actually got it free as a promo from a Seventeen Magazine coupon (and I got two because I went twice. naughty me!)
Anyway, I'm still on my first tube and it has been probably 4 months (the 3-month rule can kiss my ass. I never throw out makeup and I've never had a bacterial problem)
Overall, I was really amazed by one important thing about this mascara. When I wash my face at night, it seems to wash off clean. No raccoon eyes, and it doesn't stubbornly stick to my lashes like waterproof mascaras (and some regular mascaras) do. So one star for that.
It, unlike the Maybelline Full and Soft that I read such great reviews on, did not give me little spots under my eyes throughout the day when I blink. That would really annoy me because I work very hard hiding my dark circles and little black spots would ruin my awesome concealer job. Since Badgal didn't do that, there's another star.
The third star is for the blue color, which appears subtly from far away and intriguingly close-up.
The fourth star is for the excitement of blue mascara. I wear it everyday like a regular mascara. I swear, I'll never use another mascara again!
And the fifth star is for me getting two for free! I know they're about $18 regular-priced, which I'm willing to pay, but I'm so happy I didn't have to for my first two tubes. Yay!
Go try this stuff. Maybe I just got a lucky tube, but this is seriously the best mascara I've ever used. And I've used Maybelline's Full and Soft, Max Factor's 2000 Calorie, Maybelline's pink and black orignial one, and a few crappy Covergirl mascaras. If you're familiar with those, trust me, this mascara is much better than any of those!

When will I ever learn? BeneFit mascaras are just not my thing. Let me start by saying that I usually like BeneFit products. However, this mascara (like the rest) was a big disappointment. I have tried the regular BADgal in black and was disappointed with that mascara in terms of brush size (too big) and formula (a bit flakey). Plum didn't work for me either. However, I was willing to overlook those flaws and give this gorgeous color a whirl. I have brown eyes and thought the blue might be fun.
On my bare lashes, this color barely showed up, but did show more than the plum on bare lashes. For reference, I have dark brown lashes and black hair. Two coats left behind a nice blue color that faded to nothing within 4 hours.
Using Lancome CilsBooster XL, the blue color showed up more and lasted a bit longer, but tended to clump a bit. And it still wanted to flake away as the day wore on. Clumping with my CilsBooster is a problem I have with all of the BADgal mascaras regardless of color. :(
Using MUFE Lash Fibers, I had the best results. This offered me the most vibrant color payoff and didn't clump, which is weird b/c I find that most of my mascaras clump more with the MUFE than with the Lancome. However, the BADgal wanted to flake away faster using the MUFE primer.
I got this as a part of the Bright Lights Big City kit at Sephora and am so glad I did not pay the full prices for it. With a primer, the color was nice. However, the flaking was a big issue for me. I'll stick with less expensive mascaras that don't clump as easily with or without my 2 favorite primers.
