In the bottle, Cocktail smells delightful. Rose, lavender, and bergamot stand out to me, with hints of the sandalwood and jasmine. It's pretty well balanced between the brighter and drier scents.
Unfortunately, on my skin it mostly smells like mouthwash. I'm sure it smells better on others, but mouthwash and rose aren't my cup of tea.

I'm very surprised to hear that people are getting menthol or spices with this one because to me, it is a very pure floral in the English tradition. Very refined and well balanced, with strong sillage. I consider Cocktail the "grown-up" amongst the Lush fragrances. Like the rest of the Lush fragrances, the juice is very high quality but something needs to be done to improve the packaging!

I'm having a hard time detecting the floral notes in Cocktail because a huge wintergreen note gets in the way. I'm afraid that if I wear this, people will mistake it for the scent of Ben-Gay.

This fragrance doesn't get enough love here. I stumbled across a post that gave a brief review of Cocktail. It stated that it smelled like Vicks vapor rub. I couldn't order a sample fast enough. I have been searching for a floral/menthol fragrance ever since I tried SL Tuberose Criminelle but haven't had any luck until now. The beginning really does smell like it has menthol lurking behind the floral notes. This is a beautiful fragrance that I will never be without. It smells sophisticated and elegant and it lasts the entire day. Hopefully this one will be available in the US by next year because right now you can only purchase through
the BNevertoobusytobebeautiful.com website.

Very nice ylang-ylang meets lavander and a touch of jasmine. It approaches the feeling of sophisticated perfume but it's very wearable and pleasant. Because of the notes that aren't easy to recognize some people think this also smells of apple pie and cinnamon. It doesn't, it smells good and pleasant and it might evoke the mood of comfort and spiceyness but it is not a gourmands, far from it. It's more a wannabee aldehyde but because of the ingredients used it is just a very pleasant perfume, somewhat mature perfume.. well it tries to be.

Love this scent- it smells like a zingy, sophisticated, alcoholic mint. I don't really get much in the way of floral notes. Instead, I get much more wintergreen. This description doesn't really do the scent justice, as it's complex, sophisticated, and unusual. I think it tends to be a love or hate scent.
