First of all, Clarins is my fav brand for some of their products. However this Eye cream was kinda disappointing. It had a nice packaging, a nice smell and texture, but as far as fine lines and wrinkles go, did absolutely nothing! Nada. Luckily it didn`t irritate my eyes or anything (Clarins is really good for sensitive skin as it really is never irritating!), but I went back to my DeVita eye cream. That made a big difference instantly, it has wonderfully natural ingredients, ton of vitamins, it is 100% Paraben freee, and costs less. I do recommend to try that one. :-)

This eye cream is not a miracle cream, wrinkles do not magically disappear, it does not swell skin and hide wrinkles. But for some reason I am fairly faithful to it, and if I find myself out I buy more. Have been using it for more than 20 years. I like how it goes on, it is light, I can wear it under makeup without issues, no breakouts or irritations, and no puffy eyes in the morning - it is just reliable. I do interchange it with the eye cream experiment of the moment but I always come back. I also have hardly any eye wrinkles and my friends comment on it so long term I think it does something.

I bought this by mistake. I meant to buy the "special" eye contour balm.Oh, and the picture that is on this review page is wrong since it shows the "special" version. I used the special version for several years, and one day I ran out and didn't have the money to buy more. So I've been using cheaper stuff for a couple of years now. This is an ok daily eye cream but doesn't give the results the other version delivers. After a few weeks of no eye gratification I thought they had changed the formula...or that maybe this no longer worked for my eyes. Of course I ran here to look at the reviews and I realized...shock...that there are two versions. So now that I've wasted $35 on this, to the back of the drawer it goes.

it`s OK...there isn`t anything spectacular about it. It`s just like any other eye cream I`ve used and a little too pricey when I can buy something from nivea that will do the same. It hydrates but so do a lot of other eye creams.

One of my all-time favourite eye balms. Cooling, absorbs easily, moisturising. Simple, yet effective. And it comes in a tube, not a pot, how I like my eye creams/gels to be in.

I've been in love with Clarins recently, but unfortunately this eye countour is very disappointing. There's no results at all. I normally don't expect any visible results with eye creams, so I wasn't really expecting much from this either. However, it didn't even hydrate my undereyes area and my skin felt dry and tiring.

Have used this on and off for years. It is not a product to get overly excited about but, having said that, it is still a consistently solid performer when it comes to eye area hydration.

Primary advantages over its price-point competitors: (i) lightweight, so readily absorbed; (ii) delivers adequate moisture, i.e. does not overwhelm undereye area; (iii) provides ideal makeup base for concealer; and, (iv) gentle formula, so non-irritating.

I'm already on my second tube of this, reason being it makes a good concealer base in the mornings when I apply my makeup. It definitely has not done much as far as fine lines go because I did notice that my fine lines intensified over the years (my guess is that it's from my college years when I used to tug on my eyes while removing makeup but I've learned my lesson). Despite that, I still go back to this cream because my under eye area is SUPER sensitive. I've tried other "richer" eye creams like Lancome and Estee Lauder and ended up with either an allergic reaction around the cheek area or milia. So although this might not be for those who are looking for something to correct wrinkles, it is perfect for prevention and keeping your makeup from creasing throughout the day. I'm still on the hunt for something to soften my lines but meanwhile, I'm going to stick with this.

I am really surprised that this isn't more highly rated. I haven't used anything other than this eye balm for years. It is just incredible! I went through a period where I tried so many "miracle" eye creams that just didn't deliver. I purchased this one thinking it was going to be another expensive waste of time. It wasn't. I like the fact that I don't get that feeling of my eyes sticking together in the morning when I wake up. It doesn't irritate at all and it actually delivers a fresher, moisturised eye area. I am extremely fussy when it comes to eye creams. This one is my HG.

Ok, I'm 26, starting to notice some lines, and decided to do something about it. I tried several brands and types, but they really didn't work out (Clinique - Couldn't keep my eyes open, red, stingy and puffy)(Biotherm, stingy, dry feeling).
My other HG products are all Clarins so I got a tester for this baume.. and was not very impressed. Yes it has a nice texture, no smell, not greasy, so 10 out of 10 there.. but I didn't really notice anything else.. until I ran out of baume.
Within two days the skin around my eyes started looking somehow slacker, and more blue, and drier. After a week I ran back to the store, got the baume and since then my around eye area has been imrpoving every week! It looks firmer and the colour is better, so after all I'm really happy with it!

I had specifically asked the sales associate for an eye cream in a tube and not a jar so my problem with this product is my fault. I was hoping to eliminate the need to stick my finger in the jar and contaminate whatever eye cream I was using. The problem with my rationale was that I need something thick enough not to come out of a tube and this isn't it. It's too thin for my needs and it has a lot of slip. I was hoping for a stickier and heavier formula. It's got a lightness that is good under makeup but not good enough for nighttime. I add a bit of pure vitamin e oil at night to make it stick to my eye area. I think it's a great basic eye cream though and would consider it for daytime under sunscreen and makeup.

This is very light, has cooling sensation upon applying. Made my undereye area dehydrated and wrinkled when used under concealor. On its own at night or on days I go without makeup, it works well for the summer months. Very light hydration, not irritating. $48 seems like a lot for a basic eye cream, though. Update: Upgrading from 1 to 5 lippies. I really like this now. It has become my go-to eye cream for night time. It doesn't irritate my eyes at all. It doesn't do anything for dark circles so that's why I use it only at night. (I need big time help for dark circles during the daytime.) But for night time, I've been pleasantly surprised. Love the hygenic tube packaging too. I don't really feel that cooling sensation anymore, I guess I may have been feeling that sensation from another product that may have been left on my fingertips. So overall, I feel that it does good things for my skin, must be the rose extract. I am now actually pleased that Clarins made such a "basic" eye cream, because with all the anti-aging products I use during the day, I need something soothing and non-irritating at night.

This is my HG. I have been using this product for years and keep returning to it. I am really surprised by the negative comments about it because it is the ONLY eye care product that I have found that actually reduces the appearance of wrinkles. I also like the fact that when I apply it before bed, I wake up without that terrible feeling of my eyes being sticky with product like you get with some eye creams. I sometimes mix this with my concealer if I have had a late night and it really gives my appearance a boost. I just love it!!!!!!

I bought this product just last night after having it suggested to me by the sales rep at the Clarins counter. I had serious reservations about returning it after I got home and read several MUA reviews, but decided to go ahead and give it a try before going to bed. I loved the way it went on, nice and light, not too thick or heavy. I really wanted to love it, since most eye creams seem to irritate my eyes, don't sink in well, or break me out. I'm going on 30 and need an eye cream that works! Well, this one must not be it. I woke up with a deep crease under my left eye that was most definately not there last night. I hope it goes away with a little moisture and hopefully only a couple of hours. If nothing else, that alone tells me that this cream is not moisturizing enough. I'm trying to erase fine lines, not create more of them. Also, it seems to have given me a touch of milia. For well under $48, I can find a drugstore product that can at least give adequate moisture. I am taking this back today. :(

This product has a light moisturiser consistency. Very quickly absorbed. I used this at night before going to bed. It is not moisturising enough to keep the eye area moisturised till the morning (compared to say Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair Eye Recovery Complex). Yet it gave me milia. I won't be buying this again.

I love the fact that this is a BALM and not a cream! (The problem with creams is that these cause acne in the surrounding area and cause my eye makeup to smudge. Oily skin + heavy cream = ewww) This absorbs fairly quickly and works well under makeup. Super expensive stuff ($50 CND) but well worth it. After about a month or so I actually noticed my fine lines go away! (They were very minor to start with, but still... it actually worked!) I would recommend this for people in their twenties or early thirties with oily skin and who need an eye cream.

Age: 30-35   Skin: Sensitive, Fair, Cool   Hair: Red, Fine   Eyes: Green

This was my first proper grown-up eye cream, used off and on through my 20s (the other being Clinique All About Eyes). A lightweight gel/cream, and one of Clarins' classic skincare basics; not changed, or not much, in decades. So it's tried and tested and much loved; but there are also many other products on the market that are rather like this and cheaper (ex. UK/Ireland - Simple Kind To Eyes Soothing eye cream and - US - gel/creams by Kiss My Face, Beauty Without Cruelty, and Aubrey's Organics).

The feel and end result are a little like Clinique All About Eyes: the Clarins is more creamy, but the light-reflecting particles similarly smoothe out fine lines. I did find the AAE would sometimes creep into eyes and irritate a little (just a little, not dramatic); this never happened with any of the Clarins creams I'd used or tried.

One practical tip: don't rub the cream between finger-tips before applying, it sort of separates. Dot straight onto skin, and dab around from there.

Of the other Clarins basics, the Eye Contour Gel is super-light and refreshing (good to keep in the 'fridge over summer), and the "Special" Eye Contour Balm is more moisturising and slightly denser, whilst remaining lightweight (and it's one of my favourite eye creams).

I probably wouldn't return to the Balm now, simply because my skin is drier and needs more moisture than this provides. Otherwise, the Balm is perfectly good: nice texture, easy to apply, sinks in. Also may be interesting if you're looking for a "more ethical" eye cream - Clarins are cruelty-free, and this cream (unlike the "Special") contains no mineral oil. It does, however, contain glycerin, shea butter, mica, rose extract, inulin, and wheat protein. Some fragrance from the rose (very little).

Costs around EUR 26.00-36.00 for a 20 ml tube.

INGREDIENTS: aqua, cetearyl ethylhexanoate, octyldodecanol, glycerin, butyrospermum parkii butter, propylene glycol, cetearyl alcohol, acrylates/c10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, mica, cetearyl glucoside, ethylhexylglycerin, rosa centifolia flower extract, stearoyl inulin, barium sulfate, sodium hydroxide, titanium dioxide, phenoxyethanol, ethylparaben, methylparaben, glyceryl acrylate/acrylic acid copolymer, hydrolyzed wheat protein, disodium edta, sodium citrate, peg-40 hydrogenated castor oil, bht, geraniol, citronellol.

Nice, light texture that absorbs quickly but did not do anything to get rid of my fine lines around eyes but they did not get any worse at least while using this product. I would prefer to use an eye cream with SPF in it though.
