Im sure this wont be around long, I see the oldest review is from 2007 and when I bought mine it was on the bottom shelf on clearance at Meijer for $3. But then thats always the way when I find something I love, haha.

Anyway, I was having trouble with my eyes being irritated and swollen and couldnt figure out what was causing it so I decided I should get a fresh tube of mascara in case bacteria was the culprit. I think it was the ingredients that drew me to this and the fact that its by Physicians Formula (love their mineralwear powder!). I was determined to keep this tube bacteria free and mentioned to my daughter that I was going to buy some disposable mascara wands to use, when she handed over 3 she had snagged at ulta from some mascaras trial display :D perfect! This way I was able to choose from the three which type I liked best and it cost me nothing. I dip the wand in my mascara once and that gives me enough to apply to all my lashes, then I wash it with some dove soap and its ready for the next day. Its awesome not having any leftover anything in the tube from previous uses, like having a fresh tube of mascara every single day!

Back to the mascara, the wand thats included is pretty awful-thats the reason I think this might end up discontinued. Its like a 3 sided comb, never seen anything like it. But using the ulta applicator thats an old school bristle brush type, the mascara goes on amazing! It gives great length and seperation and stays on (and curled) all day-no flakes, no smudges. Doesnt irritate my sensitive eyes at all and comes off easily with soap (dove) and water. I will defintely be trying to find a backup tube in case this disappears from shelves soon. I highly recommend using a clean disposable or washable applicator with this or any other mascara-its made a world of difference in the product and I think my lashes are looking longer and healthier since I began doing this.

Where oh where can you buy this now?
I absolutely loved this mascara.
My eyes are very sensitive, and this mascara did not irritate my eyes. Went on perfectly with no clumps. Easy to build a thicker lash with extra coats.
I used to get this at Target or Osco, they no longer carry.

I'm so freaking sad! This used to be my HG mascara until bacteria spread in it because it was to old. But this mascara does wonders for seperation of the lashes, and it doesn't clump...yet making a very natural look. I love this mascara so much and I want to get it again but it was discontinued (I got it for 3 dollars a while ago because they were clearing out). Over all this is the best mascara ever, and I'm gonna hunt for it again!

I did not have good luck with this mascara. Although it caused no problems with cysts at the base of my lashes ( a problem despite exhaustive removal/cleansing) I will not repurchase. The big leaf shaped top of the container is just ugly and weird. The brush is ok. The mascara itself seemed very thin, and was hard to apply without it smearing all over the place. It was hard to get coverage without glopping on smaller bottom lashes. I did get raccoon eyes during the day as it ran and then crept along my small under-eye wrinkles--so attractive. Not really a bargain as it did not work for me.

This made my eyes itchy and irritated.

But other than that, it applied well, didn't clump and lengthened. I'd probably still use it if I could.

I got this as a free gift with the MineralWear eyeliner. I LOVE IT! It doesn't contain any fibers, so it's far less irritating than most mascaras, but it's buildable and seriously lengthens your lashes. No flakes or smears, and it washes off easily. The hard-bristle brush is helpful for separating lashes, but it might take some getting used to. I prefer it now, I wish more mascaras had this brush. Def. my new HG - no more L'Oreal Double Extend!

This is a great mascara, goes on without clumping, and doesn't dry into a crusty mess. With one layer you can go with a natural look, and you can add layers for a more dramatic look. Talc-free and made with minerals = big plus! I don't like the idea of getting harsh chemicals into my eyes in the long-term. My only complaints with this mascara is that it is not water-proof, so you have to look out for smudgyness on those really humid days and avoid water (but this does make it a lot easy to wash off at the end of the day). Also, not a big fan of the packaging, kind of clunky.
Edit: After awhile, the product seems to dry out, I think because of the way the tube is designed. So now I'm using Marcelle Volume Precision Mascara, which I'm actually liking more

I wear this stuff when I want "natural-looking" lashes - darkened and lengthened but not high-drama or anything. For that purpose, Mineral Wear does the trick. I got it in black, and it's sufficiently dark for my already-black lashes. It goes on well and rarely, if ever, clumps. I think it also flakes less throughout the day than a lot of other mascaras I've used, so staying power is good.

However, I don't think I'd buy it again. The packaging is clunky, and the hard plastic brush hurts my eyes a bit. It also dried out pretty quickly.

Think I've found my HG mascara here! No clumping, buildable, and best of all, NO FIBERS in my eyes. Con: clunky package design, higher price. Will definitely buy again.

I've been on a long quest to find the perfect mascara. While this isn't it, it's the best one I've come across. It doesn't flake, irritate my eyes, and is easily buildable. I wear contacts daily and this has never irritated my eyes like many other mascaras do (Maybeline Great Lash, I'm looking at you!).

I purchased this on a whim because it was 75% off (i hope that doesn't mean i wont be able to find it again) and b/c of it being talc free. For a mineral mascara, this stuff is impressive and stays on longer than any mascara Ive ever used! Never ever smudges and looks very natural. It literally grabs every lash and coats it...I actually think it has improved the length and strength of my lashes since using. Def will repurchase if I can find it!

I personally like this product a lot. It works great on my eyelashes to give me natural thick long lashes without looking fake or overdone like some mascaras do. This definitely isn't a glam girl mascara like lashblast by covergirl, but it does look good IF applied right. You have to get the hang of it because the wand has a brush on one half and a comb on the other half. It does sometimes clump, but it hasn't so far flaked or smudged, and it lasts all day, even through 2-3 hours of sports practice. Overall, I would say this product is good, definitely everyday mascara for the whole not too intense look. It DOES work.

I recently just bought this mascara on a whim (as I do with most d/s makeup.) So far I like the consistency of the mascara its not too runny or too thick. It doesn't have any of the strange smells like some mascaras. It can tend to go on thick if you apply more than two coats. So no more than two coats is your best bet to keep from going clumpy. I haven't quite decided on my opinion of the brush yet. I like how it is very firm and separates my lashes. But, the side with the single row, comes out of the tube with so much product on it, that I don't care to use that side. I think it could have been 5 lippies if they had made the entire brush with the hard bristles. Overall I am very pleased with the results.

Wonderful stuff, especially for the price. Not clumpy or flaky or smudgy or irritating. Nice color. The brush/comb surprised me. I was a little taken aback when I first saw it but after trying it, thought it was swell.
Everything you want a nice, solid, basic mascara to be and is buildable into something a little more dramatic. Not terribly lengthening, but doesn't make lashes look stumpy either. Stays on well and washes off easily and thoroughly.
Two thumbs up. Especially since I got it dirt cheap on sale at CVS.

I like the tube this mascara comes it, it's a pretty silverish style with a neat shape.

This mascara is fantastic. It goes on really dark and well, and makes my lashes look great. Mine is starting to get a bit crumbly when I put a lot on, but that is because it's starting to get old so I want to get another one soon if possible. I will buy this product again.

Thumbs way up!

This mascara is okay, I did get good lashes but not what I was expecting I guess. It seems to get too tacky to really build up your coats like the package says. But i did get long dark lashes, I just prefer thickness as well. I just wanted to try this one out for myself and I got it half price so it works for me..this mascara dried out pretty quickly too and made it hard to get the last of the product.

This product, even though the package is bland, but the overall product is to die for ! I recently got this on sale for a couple of bucks and it does exactly what it says, three coats and your lashes look like they have a natural set of fake lashes. I really liked it and I would def. use it again,

FINALLY, a mascara that does not smudge or smear on me. I have super duper oily lids and the majority of mascaras(high and low end) and eye makeup will travel, fade, disappear within a couple of hours. If cosmetic companies ever needed somebody to test how budge-proof/anti-raccoon eyes their eye makeup/mascara was, they should seriously give me a call. I'll volunteer in a heartbeat. I have such a hard time finding a decent mascara that doesn't leave me looking like a raccoon. UGH. Btw, I do have the Clarins Double Mascara and I have used the Kate Waterproof Coat Mascara. Even with those on, I still get slight smudges after a few hours.

This particular mascara is not waterproof. It comes off easily with water or any cleanser. It is definitely VERY, VERY BLACK, which I love. Easily buildable. I love the funky brush and I have absolutely no problems with using it. Separates my lashes with no problems and I can keep building the volume. It actually adds a little bit of lift and curl to my Asian lashes. I don't even need to curl my lashes beforehand. May I 'prep and prime' my eye area beforehand or not, this mascara goes on and stays on with minimal flaking. I will choose 'itty bitty flaking' over 'raccoon eyes' any day.

So smooth... so defining... so cheap! I love this mascara. After snagging it from my sister's bag a few times, I had to buy it for myself. It's very "black", which is what I like most about it and the formula is really nice and non-irritating. Unfortunately, I "have to" wear false lashes on a daily basis because my real lashes are too light and fine. But this mascara provides a very defining base. If I HAD to do without my "falsies" for a while, I would probably look for a more volumizing mascara, although some other mascaras that claim to be volumizing are a lot worse than this one. This brand is good with mascara overall and this one's no exception.
