I was apprehensive about getting this set as I'm very fair. So previous attempts at smokey eyes left me looking bruised... But this kit gives a lovely smokey effect without me looking boxed! Celestine is a very flattering color and the brush is so easy to use. Love it!

I'm sorry, but I've tried this kit and the brush that is supposed to make a smoky eye just didn't cut it for me. A smoky eye is something that has to be practiced again and again. When creating the smoky eye, you need to put a deep shade close to the lashline, then gently and slowly smoke it out using a professional brush. The brush in this kit is all wrong. But I suppose it didn't hurt BE to try to teach other's about creating a smoky eye. They might want to try it again?

I love this set- the brush has become a staple for me and I pretty much use it for most of my eye shadows and looks. The two shadows included are very very pretty- Celestine is quite shimmery but somehow it still looks conservative enough for day wear. I also use it sparingly, so maybe that helps. Skyline always gets me a compliment on my eyes- which are a grey/blue. Love the set, it's a great buy and will definitely restock it when I use it up. Can't say enough good things about the brush either- it's very versatile.

I tried the first smoky eye suggestion, but ended up tweaking it quite a bit. I have just ended up using this my own way now, and add a touch of opal to the brow bone and inner eye corner. I find the celestine to be a gorgeous color. Not too cool for me, its got a warmth to it and the lavender tones work well with my green eyes. Little too shimmery for me, but that would not stop me from purchasing it again. I have better luck patting this on then swiping it on. Better coverage with no fall out. I liked the skyline very much also, and find the two colors blend beautifully together. The brush is very nice, and I use it often.

This is such a cute kit. It gives great instructions on how to do a classic Smokey eye. It is neither light nor dark. It makes the eye pop. The product last forever, I have used this product several times and it is still full, looks as if I still ahve not tuched it. I believe that this will work on all skin types. Great set.

At first, I really didn't think I'd like these two colors together at all. Celestine is like ivory, and it's shimmery. Skyline is a grayish navy, and it's matte. But somehow, they really go together, and allow you to create a smoky eye that can be worn to work, in my opinion. Most smoky eye palettes come with the usual black and gray shades, therefore making them only for going out. It seems like all BE eye kits are perfect for colors/looks you wouldn't normally be comfortable with. I would definately repurchase.

Fabulous! The brush is totally perfect, there is no way you could go wrong - completely fool proof! Skyline is a grey/blue color, while Celestine is a gorgeous shimmery deep champagne/pink. I like the fact that you can wear as little or as much as you like to go from day to evening. Both pots are full sized, as opposed to some of the other new kits (eg Be Real), so you know you're getting your money's worth. I love this kit, and am definitely planning on recommending it to my friends.

I'm totally in love with this brush. I like the colors, but I prefer to use pinks and dark purples to make a smoky eye on me. I can't say enough about the brush. My NEW FAVORITE!

UPDATE-On the brush

I am getting more skilled in using different brushes and I love the bigger end of this brush but the small end is really good fo applying the darker shade in the crease but you will need a different brush to blend it out. Also the blue shade in this kit is matte and I prefer something with a shimmer in it.

I love both of these colors! Instead of following the tutorial instructions for the smoky eye; I layer celestine on top of skyline. The result is a very flattering, shimmery, dark, cool-toned brown. I don't have much use for skyline by itself, but I find myself reaching for celestine almost every morning!

This kit comes with Celestine glimmer, Skyline shadow, and a double-ended brush. Celestine is a rose-taupe color that is very similar to Stila Grace. Skyline is a matte navy shadow. The first time I used the kit, I decided I do not like Celestine and Skyline together at all. Celestine is warm/neutral on me and Skyline is cool, and I just don’t think they enhance each other. However, I like them both separately. I prefer to wear Skyline with cooler shades – today I’m wearing it with Stila Dapple (a cool grayish taupe) and I think they complement each other very well.

The brush has a wide end which is cut at an angle to provide a fairly large surface area, and a narrow end that is wider than an eyeliner brush.

The kit also includes instructions for a smoky eye, but as other reviewers have pointed out, most MUAers are already going to be familiar with this concept. I like to wear Stila Dapple on the lid and in the crease, use Skyline dry in a wide stripe along the lashline (the small end of the double-ended brush is good for this), and then, with a small eyeliner brush, use Skyline wet along the lashline, for a nice graduated look. I then line the bottom lashline with Skyline dry, for a softer look.

I voted that I would buy this kit again simply because I’m pleased with everything in it and do not regret buying it. But truthfully, if the kit were still available when these shadows ran out, I would not re-buy. I’d buy Celestine separately (it’s a very lovely wearable shade) and search for a shimmery version of Skyline.

I do not regret purchasing this kit. It was worth it for Celestine Glimmer and the double-sided brush alone. The lesson was nothing grounbreaking, but I wasn't expecting much. If you aren't a total eyeshadow newbie you probably won't learn anything you didn't already know. Skyline is a nice color, but not outstanding and a little bit too matte for my taste. I find myself using the nice brush it comes with and Celestine all the time, so I am getting my money's worth!

What a great kit. I have almond shaped eyes and always loved the smokey eye look trend and this kit lets me achive that look without making my eyes look smaller. Celestine is a beautiful shimmery all over color while Skyline is a matte dark greyish purple. The contrast of the finishes and colors really makes this kit special. I don't like blues or grays on me but Skyline is a wonderful unique color that would make it wearable on anyone. The brush is also very soft and useful. I wear medium beige and have dark brown eyes and love this kit!
