I was so excited when Jete was re-promoted in the By Request collection this summer. I couldn't wait to get my paws on it. The colour lived up to my expectations - it's a pinky champagne, close enough to UD Scratch, which I wanted to dupe so I could have it in my 15-pan palette. However, the texture is awful. There is almost no colour payoff. Knowing MAC, I wasn't expecting it to be as buttery and pigmented as UD, but I also wasn't expecting to need ten layers, either. I almost put a dip into it, that's how many times I swiped it, trying to get some colour onto my lids. It's still nice as a highlight shade, but doesn't cut it as a lid colour. I think this is my biggest disappointment ever from MAC, because I was so looking forward to it. I don't know, maybe the original release is better, but I would stay away from this new one.

I am not sure why this beautiful color is limited edition. This is the perfect pink for my NC 44/45 skin because this has a bit of tan too it. It is not too frosty looking and pairs beautiful with saddle in the crease and black eyeliner. I can see the pan on this one and I am looking for a replacement for this one.

I'm finishing up my 2nd pot of this gorgeous eye shadow. Beautiful, slightly shimmery dark pinked peach. Blends like a dream. I have another back-up of this waiting and will be very sad when Jete is no longer available online through eBay or MUA. Why, oh why did MAC discontinue such a gem?!

This is a veluxe pearl e/s that is not too overwhelmingly shimmery or glittery (although you may want to stay away from it if you are looking for a matte finish). Veluxe pearl e/s are finelly milled and applies smoothly onto the eyelid, with no chalkiness or grittiness whatsoever.
The shade (LE) belongs to the pink family. However, we're not talking about a hot pink: this is a wearable warm pink with a tad of tan that's not at all bright, making it an e/s suitable for work or, in general, for a subdued but polished look. It reminds me of a more intensely colored naked lunch, if that makes any sense.
I would use this as a wash, combined with browns/taupes in the crease and outer >

I am so annoyed at MAC for making this eyeshadow LE. First, I should mention that I generally prefer a "natural" or subtle makeup look, and I usually steer clear of makeup with obvious shimmer in it. But, Jete is just plain gorgeous. It's the first Veluxe pearl eyeshadow that I've really been impressed with. On me (roughly NC15, extremely fair with warm skin and warm brown hair/eyes) Jete is a subtle pinky/gold champagne with just a hint of tan. It's my ideal lid shade, when I want shimmer of course. On my skin, Jete looks nothing like Jest, which is a very frosty, whitish pale peach. Say Yeah! is much more gold and intense. Once applied, Milani Illusion gives a similar effect, but it's more intensely pink/gold and lacks the tan in Jete.
I am already planning on getting a backup, and I never buy backups.

My DH sent me this as a surprise. I don't own Jest or Say Yeah, but I'm loving Jete. It's shimmery and soft, easy to blend. For my first run, I'm wearing it as a wash with Carbon as a liner. It's a gorgeous pink/mauve/gold shade. I think it will become a staple in my "grab it and go" easy day makeup.Of course it's LE, so even though I would repurchase, I probably won't be able to.

THis is now one of my HG colors. It looks great with many colors and works well as an all over wash. If you wear it with a peach or orange color it looks more peach if you wear it with pinks and purples it looks more pinks. This is a great color to have in your collection. It is a bit shimmery, but not too shimmery that you can't wear it with a matte color.

Another great eyeshadow from the danse collection. Looks great with green eyes. Really wearable for the daytime and the texture is great. As others have commented, it looks great paired with grey (I often wear it with French Grey also from the danse collection). Shame it's limited edition, but as others have pointed out, there are similar shades in the MAC collection.

Jete is wonderful. It is a staple in my collection now for everyday. It is classy and brightens the eye and looks really good with a grey (I use NARS Paris, but I imagine French Grey is made for it!). I love Goldenaire too, but Jete is a little subtler and sweeter. Perfect! :)

Jete looks like a shimmery peachy color with slight mauve tones to me. On my lids, the impact is mainly shimmer--the color just sort of blend in. The look is pretty however, and I can see how this subtle color will be pretty versatile. Right now, my favorite combination is to pair this with Swan Lake-also an LE shade from the Danse collection. Throw on some Peachtwist blush and I feel like a pretty ballet dance Lol. Love the veluxe pearl formula, as ever. Won't be able to buy this one again, but I would probably seek out a similar shae in the future when I run out.

Yes, I would definitely repurchase this shade, but this one is a limited edition. I pondered this shade for a couple of weeks before I decided to grab it, main reason being that I had already owned Jest. Jest IS similar to Jete, at least on my fair skin. On my skin, Jete appears darker than Jest and I'm keeping both shades because both are beautiful. Jete is not as frosty as Jest is. Jete is smooth and it glides right onto my eyelids. I would describe Jete as a warm pinkish-peach and it's wearable pretty much anywhere! Jete has become one of my favorite shades for everyday wear and I would choose it over Jest any day. On my lids, the shade appears peachy with a slight hint of pinkish. I like to pair it with Quarry or Sketch. The texture of this shadow is smooth and the eyeshadow is easily blendable.
EDIT: 10/24/08 - I finished this eye shadow entirely, I scraped out the last of the product, and I regret not getting back-ups. Shall this shade ever make a re-appearance, I will be all over it.

I could not wear Paradisco. Expensive Pink got swapped away, as did Banshee, Slip Pink, Deckchair and numerous other shadows in the pink or peach family. They all made me look ill. I took a chance on Jete and love it. It is perfect with Naked Lunch, French Grey and Earthline liner. Something about it works-it is not warmer than E.P., but isn't tool cool either.

I love this color, I am nw20 coloring and I have wore this almost every day since buying it. I wear it on my lid with french grey in the crease. The color is pinky coral. This and french grey are my 2 favorites from Danse and have turned into HGs for me.

When I went to the 3 mac counters in my location (hour or so away) I was on a mission. It was January 4th and I had missed the launch of Danse due to being up north. I wanted to find Lightscapade, Rondelle e/s, rite of spring e/s, en pointe l/g and pas-de deux l/g. I had written down Jete but completely forgot about it because the first two mac counters did not have it. So at the last counter I get my l/g and e/s and as I am getting ready to pay the MA asked me if I had tried Jete and said they only had one left. That was it sold right there (because there was only 1 left) At home I got a bit worried thinking that shade perhaps would not work for me. I am a nw15 with brown hair and brown eyes. I tried it with Rondelle and melon pigment and it looks gorgeous. Even on it's own it has a nice shimmery coral color that is not to bright and blends well with other colors. It really makes your eyes stand out. I am so glad that the MA mentioned it and that I got it. It really is a beautiful color

Ordering sight unseen is always a little anxiety provoking and in the meantime the reviews have a way of playing with your mind. Did I do good in ordering this? Yes I did! Jete is to my eye a sandy pinky coral. I have Say Yeah! and Goldenaire and it's more like a less frosty Goldenaire (which is quite a bit brighter in comparison) and not quite as golden. Say Yeah! has much more gold/peach.
Wears very well with French Grey and Brassbeat Liquidlast (which is more of a taupe than brassy). I am pleased!

Yet another MAC shadow I really really like! It is a light mauvey frost on me, and looks nothing like Say Yeah on my GGG skin. I think the color appears completely different on me due to the fact thta my skin is darker, I'd imagine on people with fairer skin Say yeah appears similar. BUt on me, my HG say yeah is definitely a golden peach that is VERY pigmented, Jete is not quite as pigmented on me, however I still love the color and it goes great with french grey and cooler tones. :)

My take on this shade..It is somewhat similar to Jest(in the pot only) and Goldenaire..Jest is much lighter with almost a frosty whitewash effect. And when you actually apply Jest to your lid,it's nothing like Jete..Goldenaire is right in the middle being slightly lighter then Jete..I don't think Say Yeah is even close being much more orangey atleast on me..While it's not the most original shade in the world it's still beautiful and the VP texture rocks

This is identical to Sally Girl e/s in Cinnamon. The texture and quality is very close and I also have Jest and Say Yeah already as well, but the only reason this is different is it made my eyes look inflamed. MAC is running out of original colors. I swapped this one immediately.

I got this baby free with my empties. I too have Jest already, but I like Jete much more. It's hard for me to describe this shade, but you can see it in pics from the reviewer below. It's a veluxe pearl, so it's really smooth to apply. I found it less pigmented than other VP shadows, though. It's great as a wash or lid shade with a darker shade in the crease. I might look into getting some of the other MAC shadows from this collection.
