Pretty Poinsettia is a flawlessly gorgeous cool toned red polish, bright yet deep at the same time with very wearable smooth red and gold microglitter throughout. This polish screams "holiday" to me but is very wearable year round (even on my warm toned GGG skintone). The glitter is smooth during application and removal, which is a huge plus for me. Pretty Poinsettia is definitely in my Top 20 because it is so unique but unfortunately it is also hard to photograph all of its glittery goodness. NOTE: My pictures does NOT do this polish any justice. If you have it hold on to it and if you don't, hunt for it. :O)

Alright I can stop looking - this is THE ultimate Holiday polish. Just a poinsettia-red w/ red & gold microglitter throughout I'm not a huge fan of glittery polishes but I will make an exception for these festive colors. PP seems to glow on my nails, like a glittering red Xmas tree ornament. The wear and application of FPs is incredible and that says a lot coming from me. I daresay this brand is underrated but hey I'm not complaining, more polishes for me LOL If you can still find this one, snap it up, it's like prozac / wintry xmas goodness in a bottle

P.S. This was part of FPs Holiday 2006 collex which IIRC included the following colors:
- Pretty Poinsettia
- Rosy Cheeks
- Mulled Cider
- Holiday Warmth
- Festive Claret
- Peppermint Sparkle

Not only would I buy this again, but I am currently in the process of finding one for a friend. A great shade for the holidays or for any time some fun blingy sparkle is in order. This is from the holidays collection at Sally's, Winter, 2006. One of six shades... I have all six. Festive Claret, Holiday Warmth, Peppermint Sparkle, Mulled Cider, Rosy Cheeks and Pretty Poinsettia make up the lot.

The Color... It's a punch packing sheerish deeper cool red with light medium red glitter. It lays smooth after 2 coats. The sheerness is necessary to show the glitter. It just lights up. Very nearly perfect but I'm slightly cool toned. Some would say this is the best color of the season let alone of the FingerPaints collection... and strangely the competition seems to be Festive Claret from this collection. The other contenders appear to be the Rockette Reds.

The Application... Just like an OPI, the formula is springy, forgiving and easy to apply. No bubbles, no messes. Just lovely to use. The handle seems OK to use even though it's flared near where you hold it. It seems actually easier to use since you can really get a grip on it. Long brush handle and stem and nice bristles.

Today I am not reviewing the wear but I would expect this to last 2-3 days with my extreme use of hands without bad wear. I am a coolish green girl, NW20/ Px B/R level 2. Also I use ridge filling base coat and Seche Vite top coat.
