I loved this product when I used it a couple years ago. Aveda is slowly discontinuing most of their original products in the brown bottles. THANKS ESTEE LAUDER. If anyone is looking for a replacement I recommend Aubrey Organics GPB conditioner. Similar products in fragrance (GPB is more green smelling) and performance.

Aaargh! Why, oh why would they discontinue this product??? If you love it as much as me, call Aveda and raise a stink! 1-800-328-0849. If they get enough complaints, maybe they'll bring it back.

Oh no! This is being discontinued along with the Cherry almond bark conditioner. Shame on them!

Not impressed with this "deep" conditioner. Yeah, it might be thick in texture, but it didn't do a whole lot of deep conditioning at all. I liked the Damage Remedy treatment conditioner better-- it actually hydrated my hair better than this stuff.

Mad love for this product. I generally like Aveda products, but hadn't tried this one and decided to after seeing some raves on the haircare board. This is now my favorite deep conditioner, although I also like the Damage Remedy Deep Treatment. My hair feels conditioned but not weighed down or coated after I use this, it's just bouncy and shiny. After 4 weeks of weekly treatments, I think my dryish colored hair has never looked better. And the smell...absolutely divine, although if you are not a fan of Aveda-y smells, you won't be of this one either. It's definitely one of their stronger scents and it really lingers. No complaints on that from me, however, the Aveda olfactory experience is half the reason I love their products.

The BEST deep conditioner I've used so far. I use this after an ACV rinse, and the results are amazing. I have very thick, coarse, frizzy, poofy Asian hair, and the ACV/Deep Penetrating combo has made my hair shinier, bouncier and more healthy-looking than it's ever been. The fragrance is quite overwhelming, and lingers, but that's why it's so great to use with ACV cos it neutralises the vinegar smell. I love this so much I have a brand new box of Redken Silk Fuel totally neglected. Being a product junkie, I will try the other deep treatments raved about on the hair board (The Ojon deep conditioner is on it's way), but this for now is def a HG.

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this yet! I love this stuff! I use it weekly instead of the Redken All Soft Silk Fuel/Deep Fuel I used to use. It's extremely thick so I use quite a bit of it. It doesn't leave hair overly soft but instead hair has bounce and shine. The smell is truly Aveda and sticks with you all day but I don't mind. I hope they don't d/c this one like they seem to be doing with several others.

Mmmmmmm! This product smells simply wonderful; it's very herbal-sweet and Aveda-y. The consistentcy is quite thick, but if your hair is wet, it should destribute through with no problems or use a wide-tooth plastic comb to help it go through thicker hair. This conditioner softens my hair and helps it feel smoother during the times that is is drier and problematic. Even though it is thick, this product does not weigh down my fine hair-amazing! Usually, after I deep condition my hair it is flat and yucky for a few days, but not with this! A great product for people with fine to medium hair who occasionally need some delicious-smelling deep conditioning.

Love this as my once a week deep conditioner. I adore Aveda hair products, especially the conditioners. I have fine hair, but it gets dry at the ends. This truly does penetrate to deliver moisture.

Like all Aveda products, I am in love with the way this smells. However, it's not deep penetrating nor did it revitalize my dry hair. I had high hopes because the consistency is so thick. But after using it, I was very disappointed with the results. I would repurchase this as a normal conditioner though because like I said I looooooove the way this smells. If you're looking for a heavy duty conditioner to really help your dry hair, this is definitely not it. Sorry Aveda, I love you anyway though ;)

Normally I really like Aveda products, but I thought the smell of this was too strong. I even had a guy tell me it didn't smell good. It does really, really condition well on my curly hair, but the smell isn't worth the price.

This smells fantastic - I wish Aveda would make other products with this scent - I would definitely buy them! This is a nice deep conditioner. I use it once every week or so, and it helps keep my long, dry hair in great shape. I wish the tube was designed better though - I always have a hard time sqeezing the last bit of conditioner out. I have used this product for about five years now and love it.

I loved this product by Aveda! I have severely dry hair from chemical processes. I applied this product last nigh and slept with it on. This morning when I rinsed it out my hair was so soft and shiny. I really enjoyed the smell too.

Boo...this is an overpriced product that did absolutely NOTHING for my hair. The only thing I like is the smell and texture, neither of which made a difference in the performance of this conditioner. I have tried So many different aveda products and honestly the ONLY one that workse well for my curly hair is sap moss shampoo.
This didn't moisturize or detangle my hair well, even when I left it on for longer periods of time. I have discountinued using this once a week because I see absolutely NO difference in my hair when I DO use it. I would NOT recommend this to anyone with fine-med curly hair.

This really does not moisturize much. I have not been that thrilled with Aveda's conditioners which do not condition. But I keep on buying them b/c I am addicting to their scents.

I am eagerly awaiting December 10th, when there is a "Customer Appreciation Day" with a 20% discount on all merchandise at my local Aveda salon. I will stock up on the Deep Penetrating Hair Revitalizer. I've been using this conditioner for a year, and I love it. In that year, I have coloured my hair and permed my hair, and this conditioner has kept it soft. Okay, well, as soft as you can expect from permed hair! Recently, my (Aveda) hairdresser suggested I run a small amount of the Deep Penetrating conditioner in my hair after I have washed my hair, as a quasi-leave-in conditioner. I did this today, and my hair smells and looks fabulous! :)

I have to give this treatment a great review! Since this was very expensive, I was really hoping to like it, and I am not disappointed. I use this conditioner about once a week (they recommend to use it ever 5 shampoos) and it really leaves my hair soft and manageable without being weighed down. Also, since it is very thick and concentrated, I only have to use a small amount each time, unlike other deep conditioners that I used that required a handful to see any results. On top of everything, I am in love with the scent! It is very long-lasting and potent, however, so it is best to check out the scent before you buy it- if you don't it, you will be stuck with it all day! Overall, I think this is a great hair treatment that is worth every penny and I will definitely continue to use this when it runs out.

I love this conditioner. It does for my thick, color-treated, wavy hair what I think conditioner ought to do: soften and provide bounce without weighing hair down. I use this with Redken's All Soft Shampoo 2-3 times a week, letting the conditioner stay on for at least 3 minutes. The other days, I use Terax Crema, which I also love. After 6 months, my hair has never looked healthier.
Caveat: This is a THICK conditioner, and I have the best luck by concentrating on ends, massaging residue into remainder of hair.

I have chemically treated and damaged hair, after sticking with REDKEN All Soft Heavy Cream and getting fabulous result for years, I wanted to try something new. This treatment is a very very thick cream, I thought it may work wonders due to its texture but I was wrong. It actually makes my hair coarse, dry, tangled and dull. Such a mess after using this. The scent is also too strong.
