I got this several years ago, and i was pleasently surprised with it! the case that they came in was cute. it was brown and the zipper was pink. it had slotted spaces one for each brush, and came with a lip brush, eyeshadow brush, powder brush, concealer brush, and an eyeliner brush. they are half the size of their original brushes, and each is labeled. they are dense for their size, and deposit a great amount of product. they are easy to clean, and keep their shape well. after over a year of having them i lost them :( they are a steal at about 16$, def worth it if you travel often

Mark.'s Go With The Pro brush kit is a 5 piece set of travel sized mini brushes, all zipped up in a cute little pouch. Mark. doesn't specify if these brushes are made of natural or or synthetic bristles. Because Avon and Mark. products are not tested on animals, I'm under the assumption that these are synthetic. Mark. products are made in the USA. The set retails for $16, but I got it for free as part of my rep kit.
The small brow brush case is made of polyeurathan, with a polyester lining. The case was made in China. The zipper is baby pink, a cute contrast against the brown pouch. The case is roughly 6 inches long and about an inch and a half thick when zipped closed, so it won't take up too much space in your purse or makeup bag. I'll review each brush individually.
I don't really have much experience with the concealer brush, as I prefer to apply concealer with my fingers. The brush is paddle shaped and definitely made of synthetic bristles. It's stiff and silky, but I honestly can't give an opinion on how it applies and blends concealer
Mark.'s mini powder brush received some pretty tough reviews on Makeup Alley, but I quite like it. Actually, it's my favorite brush in the kit. The bristles are dense and soft, with a rounded top. I use this brush for buffing powder in over foundation. Many complain that this brush sheds and has a odor. Honestly, I don't think it has too much of a smell, and I have no shedding issues at all.
Next up is the eyeliner brush. The eyeliner brush is thin and comes to a rounded point, with a medium stiffness. I rarely use it for applying gel eyeliner. I much prefer a stiffer, finer, angled eyeliner brush. This brush is too round and gives too thick of a line for my eye shape. I do use it to apply gel or cream shadow/liner to the lower lash line.
Mark.'s eyeshadow brush is a flat and paddle shaped. Though the size and shape are perfect for eyeshadow application, this brush has too much give for packing on color. It's best used for sweeping color on or light blending. Though it has a lot of flex, this brush keeps it's shape well, with no bristle splaying.
I'm not a fan of Mark.'s lip brush, which is is the last brush in this kit. I don't use lip brushes frequently, nor do I own many of them, but this one is the one I like the least. Though this brush comes in the perfect tapered, pointed shape, but it splays horribly, which makes for streaky, messy, uneven application. It's also very hard to get all the product out of the bristles.

These are attractive, well made brushes that look pretty high quality and sleek. All the brushes have shiny, black plastic handles with firmly attached ferrels. Each handle features the Mark. logo on one side, and the function of the brush written in both English and French on the other side. All writing is white. Looks good bro.
These brushes are pretty durable, and do not shed. None of them splay except the lip brush. All of the brushes wash well (except the weakest link, lip brush).
Go With the Pro is my second set of mini Mark. brushes, the other one I got 6 or 7 years ago, and is still in tip-top shape. Mark.'s brushes are good quality and made to last. I'm not sure if pay the $16 for it, personally, but it might be worth it to you if you need to invest in a set of small brushes that will take care of your basic makeup needs. This isn't a perfect brush kit, but it's pretty solid. You'll get several years of use out it too.

This little kit is ok for the price. The only brush I use everyday is the concealer brush. True, like other reviewers have stated, the blush/powder brush is a bit hard and did smell at first. I payed less for it than the regular concealer brush so I consider I made a good deal but I wouldn't recommend to buy it full price. Not worth it. Good size for travelling.

I got this for free when i joined mark, it's a nice way to try out their brushes with out spending to much money in case you don't like them. I don't like how their small, but they do the job just fine.

The truth about these brushes, they are not fantastic. However, they are suffiecent for travel use. A couple of the brushes are part of my everyday routine.
The concelar brush is comparable to higher end brushes. I have two of these. I use one to apply eyelid shadow while traveling and I use the other to apply my benefit boing concealer. I feel the size is perfect for my blemishes.
The powder brush sheds and is IMHO is only good for apply finishing powder touch ups during the day. I do use it for applying blush on the apples of my cheek while traveling. It's not good for cheek contour. The application is too uneven. This brush is useless for mineral foundation because of uneven coverage.
I personally love the eyeliner brush for applying shadow on my bottom lid and adding highlight to the inner corners. However it's a little to thick for liner on the top lid. I own the larger eyeliner brush as well. It's part of my everyday routine.
The eyeshadow brush is great for my crease because it fits the shape of my eye well. This brush is a denser version of the eyeshadow brush that comes with the mark magnetic palettes. I feel it doesn't apply eyeshadow to the lid very well. It's good for sheer applications but not good for application of vivid color.
I really like the lip brush. It's soft enough that lipstick glides on smoothly but it's stiff enough to give me precision for a sharp lip line. The tip of the bristles are contoured well for precision. The brush also picks up a nice amount of product. If I wasn't a stain/gloss girl, I would probably use this everyday.
I do feel the price for this kit is too high. I know brushes can be expensive but for the quality, I think I can find comparable or better kits at the DS for a similar or lower price. I usually wait until mark gives these away as a GWP.

I bought this brush set because of the good reviews here and regretted my purchase. The blush brush feels hard and does not apply product precisely. Yes it comes in a small travel bag but I much prefer to use my larger brushes for better make up application.

I love this travel brush case, it's fantastic!!! The brushes are comparable to other more expensive brushes from Sephora and the like. The blush/powder brush is super soft and does not shed after the first intial wash! I would definitely buy this again, I bought one for myself and my sister loved it so much I got one for her birthday. This brush set is a great quality for the price. You get the entire travel set for less than the price of one MAC brush!!!
Check out the mini brush set here at this mark site: http://marcellawright.mymarkstore.com (Orders over $25 qualify for FREE UPS shipping!)

its okay. all the brushes are pretty good except the powder brush. its horrible. it doesn't put the product on well.. its just messy and sheds like crazy. the case is cute but not that impressive as the brushes would slip and slide out of place when you open it. its not the best . i got it for about $20 and i think thats too much to pay for this.

overall it's a pretty good brush kit for the price. one lippy off because the blush/powder brush is crap and it sheds. the other brushes are pretty good, however. i mean, it's not a MAC or bobbi brown brush, but for the price, i have no complaints!

i use this brush kit for touch ups when i'm doing stage makeup (ballroom dancer w/ frequent shows). normally i don't wear much makeup so i don't bother carrying blushes. these apply the necesary products and is not humongous to carry around, and do a pretty good job of it... i even use it on my dancer friends, and they want them too!

if any brushes break i'll just buy another one. seriously, for the price i am not complaining!

This is the cutest, most useful brush set you'll ever purchase. When I saw this in the mark catalog, I thought it the adorable. However, I've been duped by "mini" brush kits before that turned out to be nothing more than dinky, poor quality applicators that serve no purpose other than taking up space in my makeup tote.

After purchasing some mark e/s (the ones that go into the palette) and some new Mac Pigments, I decided that it's time I learned how to apply e/s wet... properly. I wanted to experiment with different types of brushes and methods (concealer, eyeliner, etc.) to see what type worked well for me before I went out and bought the appropriate brush of the Mac variety. I read the great reviews here about this inexpensive set and ordered without hesitation at the $15 price tag.

When I first opened the box that this comes in, I was taken aback by it's teeny size! When I opened the cute case however, I was surprised because of the size of the actual brushes! The heads were about the size as their full size counterparts (with the exception of the powder brush).

These brushes actually turned out to be great quality for the purposes I personally use them for:

Concealer -- applying mark e/s with plain ol' water
Liner -- applying Pigments with Visine as a mixing medium; applying e/s with water
Shadow -- blending; applying e/s with water; Pigments with Visine; applying e/s dry (when I'm lazy)
Powder -- sometimes bronzer or blush (I found this to be too small for my loose face powders)
Lip -- Haven't really found a need for it yet

I haven't even told you guys the best part. Not only does this adorable case have plastic covers for each brush, it also has room to fit other small tools as well! I keep my bottle of Visine AND a latex wedge AND another mini brush (from another set) in my tiny zippered pouch!

As long as these brushes hold up, I won't be purchasing the h/e brushes as I had previously planned. Like I said before, these brushes are amazing for what I use them for and for $15, you can't go wrong. I love this set and am thinking about buying another set just to have a backup!

**EDIT** Okay, I finally caved and bought some higher end, full sized brushes which I've been using everyday, BUT I still use the blush brush everyday! I use it for my blushes that come in smaller packages and might require a stiffer bristle to pick up the pigment. It's kind of like a kabuki in that sense.

I loved the cute makeup brushes however, I just wish I had the concealer on that one just started loosing the bristles. I don't know if it was defective or what I still own the rest just that one is the one that I really loved. I don't even know if they sell it separately the same size anyway if anyone knows let me know!!! I haven't purchased any avon lately so yeah i'd appreciate it. Other than that great product especially for traveling.

I was very excited to receive this brush set in the mail. Mark's Go With The Pro set is, in theory, the perfect throw-in-your-purse set. Five essential makeup brushes, each no longer than four inches. come in a tiny 5.25" x 2.25" brown and pink zippered case embossed with the Mark logo. Unfortunately for me, the cute factor is the only area where this brush set delivers 100%. Brush reviews as follows:

Powder brush: Coming in at four inches, this is the longest brush of the set and easily the worst. First of all, it sheds like crazy. Secondly, it isn't nearly as full as pictured on the Mark website. I don't mind it for blush, but it isn't dense enough for powder application. To me, this should the most important brush of all in a set - it should multi-task and get your foundation/blot powder/blush on quickly and evenly. Mark's powder brush fails in this aspect.

Concealer brush: 3.75" and a nice, firmish brush head. I really liked this for applying mineral concealer wet.

Eye shadow brush: 3.5" inches long. I don't understand this. It's so loose and tapered. I guess you can multi-task by using the broad side on the lid and the tapered point for the outer corner of your eye, but this brush would need to be more dense/firm for this to happen. It is so hard to pick up shadow with this brush. I personally prefer dome shaped brushes.

Lip color brush: 3.75" inches long. It's okay, too. It definitely does the job. Feels firm and doesn't shed.

Eye liner brush: 3.75" inches long. Ugh, what were they thinking? I expect an eye liner brush to be thin and firm, maybe angled. This is poofy and rounded at the end. You can do a smudged liner look, but I couldn't pick up enough eye shadow to do this in one go. It is not dense at all.

For $15, you're looking at $3/brush. I got this for $9 at rep price and I'm still not satisfied. I gave it two lippies - one for each brush I feel is of good quality and performs adequately. Sure, Mark's Go With the Pro looks cutest in your purse, but much better brush sets can be had for similar prices (Posh comes to mind).

These are my first brush purchase, and so I don't think I'm a great judge of what a great brush does. Even so, these brushes def get the job done. Mostly, I use the eyeshadow brush and the blush brush. The concealer brush doesn't do the job better than my fingers, and I'm just not used to using a lip brush. As for the eyeliner brush, I feel that it is too long to do the job right. I just got the sephora smudge brush, and it gives me the look I want much better.

The brushes are really small and cute! Unfortunately, the face brush sheds and loses color when I washed it. And it continually sheds after several uses. I've never had that happen to any of my brushes before. The eye shadow brush sheds as well. Not the best quality brushes for the price. I got it on ebay for cheaper than retail, but I think Essence of Beauty would have been a better buy.

I don't know why this brush kit got so many positive reviews. The worst brush out of the 5 piece kit is the foundation brush, which sheds and is very scratchy. The other brushes are so-so. The concealer brush is okay. It's not horrible, but, at the same time, it's not great at concealing either. I don't care for the eyeliner brush, as it's too flimsy. The lip liner brush has potential, but it's a little thin. The best brush out of the kit is the eyeshadow brush. It's soft, picks up the right amount of shadow, and it has the right amount of hairs on it for blending.

I really like the case. I've gotten powder all over the insides, and all I had to do was wipe it down with a damp cloth. If you don't travel a lot, then this is nice to bring along with you on the odd trip here or there. If you're a frequent flier, forget it. The foundation brush will rub the skin off of your face if you use it often enough.

I am always seeking for low-priced, high-quality items everywhere from catalogs to online to drugstores. I always hesitated about mark because at the time they were a little above my taste for the price but they are in the end pretty high quality stuff. When I first got these, I thought "How cute, but really how good could it be?" These brushes are amazing! They are so small and compact yet so soft to the touch and of good quality! They do exactly what they are meant for. They come with a concealer, eyeshadow, eyeliner, powder and lip brush. I love the fact that I can carry my main brushes with me everywhere "just in case." The one I got is actually their signature brown with pink lining as oppose the the picture posted here (which I love brown and pink.) These brushes actually convinced me that their full-sized ones were worth it.

I love this little brush set! Great to take with me when I'm out or to keep in my makeup stash to use at home & not take up much room. I find them to be soft on my face, not scratchy at all & very nice quality for the price -- $15 for 5 brushes plus the case.

* Regarding the comment below about using animal hair: I can find nothing anywhere that supports that comment. Here is a quote from the mark. website: "Does mark test on animals? No. In fact, Avon Products, Inc. was the first major cosmetic company in the world to take this important step. Our efforts were recognized in 1993 at the World Congress on Alternatives and Animal Use in the Life Sciences. Avon Products, Inc. was also presented with the 1993 Recognition Award from the Johns Hopkins Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing." In fact, Avon (which is the parent company of mark.) is on PETA's approved list of companies that do NOT test on animals. *

If Avon/mark. doesn't test on any animals, I find it more than a little difficult to believe they'd use animal hair in their brushes.
