I tried this years ago. The price was ridiculously high and it made my eye area bright red and irritated after just two uses. All it did for my facial skin was cause peeling. Save your money and try a BHA or AHA product.

This product works not because of the Vitamin C, but of the low pH which cause the exfoliation. There are lots of AHA/Glycolic acid that does a better job. I laughed everytime I saw the spokeswoman appeared on the Shopping Channel, her forehead & eye area were so "botoxed frozen".

I cannot believe how expensive this tiny bottle of smelly, burning, liquid is. I was so excited to try it, but it was hard to apply such a thin, watery formula. It smells horrible and it stung like a bee when applied. I transferred a small amount of the serum into a spray bottle, sprayed it into a cotton square and swiped my face. I used this for exactly TWO DAYS. It clogged my pores so bad, I looked a bit more tan. Or maybe just dirty. I have a 10x magnification mirror and took a look at this face of mine and nearly cried. I had HUGE blackheads on my lips, never in my life had I gotten such huge blackheads. I was disgusted. I ended up squeezing this gunk outta my face for about 2 hours and then cried after I sat back and saw how I destroyed my face. It is now a bigger mess than I began with and I had decent skin prior to using this junk. I can't even describe how gross this stuff is. And it's such a bad ending because I can't return it and it caused me to pick so bad I cried. This stuff is made by Lucifer himself. I'm gonna try to swap it, but I am honest and I don't know anyone who would be willing to swap with me for the Devils urine, and I'm not gonna lie about the results after usage. Maybe I can use it as a weapon of mass destruction and fight terrorist, because even the worst of the worst terrorist would run from this poison. I will NEVER buy this again and I am weeping tears of sorrow all because of this small jar of SHIT. I will GIVE THIS AWAY and even pay for postage if anyone is willing to try it or has tried it and (gasp) likes it. FREE FREE FREE! I can't throw it away because it was about 12 hours of work BEFORE taxes for me. I hate wasting. I only waste time. Like the time I wasted on this review for this Serum a-la clog your pores with major gunk.

this product contains 10% L-ascorbic acid which is quite good 4 the vitamin c beginners like myself, BUT the serum was already quite yellowish when I received it. I just think that means the product is no longer effective and for the price that u pay, this serum is not worth it. Plus it stung a lot when i applied this (ok i also used glycolic, retinoid which might hv sensitized my skin). I'm sure there r better options out there with a more reasonable price tag. I hv decided to pour this serum down the sink as it's quite yellow.

Bought this for 440 AED; that's roughly 120 USD.
The solution seemed to sit on my face, and dry after a while, just like water would; it did not sink into my face.
I also noticed no positive effect. It stang a bit my face after application. Was not incolour when bought; they do say that a slight oxidation does not affect the quality of the product, but from what I read, many disagree with that.
There's a lot of product there, and the pump allows for a clean handling, and precise dosation.

NO NO NO. I just dropped the bottle--glass--and it shattered on my floor, spilling $125 worth of product. I will never buy it again for that reason.
This is one of my holy grail products. It comes in two strengths, 10% and 17%. The last time I bought it I got 17% and it is a bit too much for my sensitive skin. I can only use it every other night.
This stuff can work wonders on the texture of your skin, and can even out pigmentation. You have to use it for a while, but it works. It is non-greasy and absorps quickly. I don't like the packaging because it is a little stopper bottle and it is too easy to knock it over on the counter (which I have done, and it is an expensive spill). It is also very expensive, but lasts a long time (I use two drops for my face and neck). I'll definitely buy it again.

I've been using Cellex for years along with Obagi. It's expensive, but in combination with Obagi Clear and Blender+Complex A it really does keep my skin clear and line free. It really is the only Vitamin C product that's delivered for me.

Snake oil?
I used this a few years ago in conjunction with teh hydra 5 complex, and I found it to be entirely too drying. I felt the claims made by the company to fade sun spots and fine lines were bogus. I noticed no difference whatsoever other than dry skin. I used it for several months. I honestly wonder if anyone here really experienced benefits, or if it's just a super hyped product. I went to my dermatologist and asked him for something to fade my sunspots and decrease fine lines and when I mentioned that this product wasn't really effective, he said he didn't recommend it for what I was trying to do.

Great product. My skin looked brighter and was softer within days! Great for neck and chest also. A bit expensive, but works well so it is worth the price.

I have used this product with my Retin-A and Obagi products for several years. I go through about a bottle a month as I use it on my neck and chest area too. I have used a lot of vitamin C based antioxidants and I think this is the best one for the money.

I purchased this product about 3 times and it seemed to make a difference in my skin. My skin seemed a bit brighter and clearer-- nothing dramatic. But, will probably look for a cheaper c-serum alternative.
EDIT: stopped purchasing because it is too expensive

I had such high hopes for this to clear up my oily acne skin like some people had said it did and that the website and tv spokeperson said it would. However this product broke me out very badly :( I had used it for 5 days, then broke out heavily. I thought it may be my skin reacting to the product. So I continued use till my face was god awful looking.
I quickly sent the product back to tsc for a full refund thankfully. Since I paid about $105 for this one bottle after tax and shipping.
This product is trial an error. If you have the money and want to try this I would advise. It obviously works for alot of people. However with my skin it was a nightmare. If you can't afford it and have acne or oily skin I suggest you stay away from this!

Cellex C is a brand I'd resisted for so long. I just didn't believe the hype (even though my dermatologist recommended it repeatedly) Then, when I saw Joan Collins's advertisements for it and desperate to get a handle on my rosacea prone skin I took the plunge on the High Potency Serum.
It is terrific. Only stung once, no irritation otherwise and is weightless. In a week I've revved up my UV protection (since Vitamin C increases photoprotection under sunscreen), already got smoother skin and the redness in my skin has been toned down (something my dermatologist kept saying would happen). Cellex C is expensive...yet it has delivered. I hate that I'm loving this stuff because of the price...but I manage to keep my skin care routine very inexpensive otherwise, so on this product I'll splurge.
I think it's the sort of product that either works great or is horrible depending on the individual. I'd tried Vitamin C products from Skinceuticals and La Roche Posay and had horrible reactions so be aware that not every product is a slam dunk. For me, Cellex C's High Potency Serum has been wonderful.
EDIT 01/24/2009: I found a product I like better, Paula's Choice Skin Recovery Super Antioxidant Concentrate. Cheaper, more moisturizing and provided better results than Cellex C which is rather drying, especially for the winter.

This is just a preliminary review since I've only been using this for 2 weeks. So far this has not broken me out, so I think it's safe to continue to use. My only other experience with C serum is Skinceuticals C&E Ferulic. The C&E broke me out, left my face shiny and sticky, made my mu look unnatural, and smelled terrible. I gave up after a week's use and didn't bother with another C serum again, until I read the reviews for this. The Cellex C serum is lighter, not sticky at all, and looks natural under makeup. It does make your face feel drier and tighter though, as someone mentioned previously, so I need to use moisturizer on top. Also I feel slight sting and itchiness when I apply it, because my skin is very sensitive due to RAM. I use a moisturizing toner first, then apply this serum. I think applying this directly to my bare skin will make the sting and itchiness worse (The direction says to apply after wash and tone, so I assume that it's okay to have toner underneath it). I purchased the sample vials for stability issues. I leave only 1 out in my bathroom and keep the rest in the fridge. The sample vial bottle is just a regular bottle w/out the dropper, so I moved it to the CE Ferulic sample bottles which has the dropper. The 4 sample bottles (total 1/2 once. the regular bottle is 1 once) will probably last me 2 months, but I'm only using it for my face right now, not neck. I will update later if anything changes, but so far I plan to continue to use it, unless there's something better and cheaper I can find. 4 Lippies instead of 5 because of the high price, otherwise, this is a good C serum for someone who is acne/breakout prone.

I work at a salon and we had a 2 hour class over the line Cellex C! :) This product is meant for ALL skin types even though their major claim is for aging skin but the main ingredient is Vitamin C and Vitamin C is a natural healing agent, so people with oily, acne, dry, aging, sundamanged, sensitive skin are recommended to use this product. My acne scars have completely diminished due to this and the hydra 5b complex! My skin tone is so even and I never break out. Some people claim this makes their face feel dry BUT it is the way they are using it that makes a difference. If you do not completely rub the high potency serum into your face you will definately feel a "tight" feeling. Do not let this serum naurally dry on your skin, completely rub it in until it absorbs. I will purchase this product for the rest of my life!

Well, I've been really curious about various Vitamin C products out there and finally took the plunge and bought this one. I've been using it faithfully in the morning, applying it before sunscreen, for a couple of weeks - and I'm pretty pleased with the results. Some sunspots that I had developed right before I received it have disappeared, and there's definitely a better texture to my skin, especially my forehead, which always seems to look and feel less smooth then the rest of my face no matter what. My skin also seems to be more naturally moisturized on its own. I am using this in combination with Ice Elements 2-Minute Miracle Exfoliating Gel (which I absolutely CANNOT say enough good things about) and Isomers wrinkle viper and eye absolutes (although I've only been using them a few days, so I can't attribute anything to them yet) and whichever moisturizer I happens to be around. I think I may have found my HG combo. Will definitely repurchase - although I may try another brand if I can find something else with good reviews that is cheaper.

I bought this to reduce the pigmentation on my face, but this serum was too drying for me even with using the Hydra 5 B serum. I was on Differin at the time, so this may have caused the dryness. Used it for about two weeks regardless to see if it would work, but I didn't think the dryness was worth continuing to use this stuff. I then tried the sensitive skin version. The dryness was reduced, but still not worth the price.
