Reminds me of my mom using this when I was little, so a nostalgic smell for me. Average as a moisturizer, not too light not too heavy.

Love this! Kept my skin so smooth all winter long and I love the cherry/almond scent. Fairly inexpensive and easy to find at any store. I will repurchase this again....in fact, I have. A great body lotion for dry skin!

I needed a new moisturizer, and was browsing the isles, couldn't find one that seemed like it would suit my dry/semi sensitive skin, when I remembered I use to use about 14 yrs ago, jergens. Took a whiff of the original scent and it took me back to when I was younger. I had to buy it. Glad I did, very moisturizng but not greasy. Leaves my skin soft and smooth. It has improved the appearance of my dry hands dramatically. Love this stuff.

I have this in my purse from time as a hand lotion. I like the smell, it's not overpowering at all. It absorbs quickly and moisturizes well. I have and will definitely buy the trial size for my purse again, and maybe I'll try it on my body someday.

Heavier moisturizer than the St. Ives I had been using, but that is a good thing! My skin gets drier as I get older, which is normal I hear. Nostalgic aroma...cherry almond. Love it!

WOW!! I am literally OBSESSED with this lotion! This is by far the best that I have ever purchased! I am extremely picky when it comes to lotions. I don't like anything with too much fragrance (as my skin seems to be sensitive to that) and I absolutely loathe the greasy, sticky feeling that accompanies many moisturizers these days. I first tried this lotion from a mini sample inside my Glamour magazine. I am so happy that I did! First off, I really love the original scent! Secondly, it moisturizes so well without the greasy feeling. Just a few moments after rubbing the lotion in, it has already full absorbed. Before finding this Godsend lotion, I would hardly ever moisturize my skin. All of the other lotions that I had seemed too thick, too time consuming, too smelly, etc. Now I actually take the time to put moisturize and I enjoy it. I basically slather my whole body in this (except my face) and my skin feels so ridiculously smooth! Possibly the best part about this lotion is that a huge tube only costs ~$7. I could not be happier :) Everyone needs to go out and try this stuff!! You will certainly not regret it!!

I actually loved how this sample felt and how well and quickly it absorbed into my skin. The scent was oddly familiar and i love it. I checked the ingredients and the 3rd is Alcohol Denat which is drying to the skin. I was going to buy this but not now, hopefully they'll change this with a better ingredient.

This is one of my favorite body lotions. It is very moisturizing, fairly thick, creamy and non greasy. I love the scent. It is cherry almond and gives a very calming and comforting feel. I love how rich it is and how inexpensive a bottle is. Makes my skin feel so soft. I will continue to buy this for as long as they make it. A definite staple in my bathroom.

I ran out of my old faithful Keri, and thought that I would give this a try. It was on sale for $3.99 and it really works. I have really dry itchy skin, and this soothed my skin almost immediately. It absorbs so quick, and that gives it a leg up over Keri for me. I love the scent, although I can also see some people not caring for it. Rest assured though, the scent fades quick.

In the spring/summer I stick with St. Ives lotions, but in the winter I'm all about Jergens. It's creamy, smells nice and has a good, thick consistency. It sinks into my skin effortlessly and doesn't leave any sort of sticky feeling. It makes my skin softer and it may be my imagination, but various scars on my body that I've had for years look like they're fading ever since I've began using it. That, however, could be from anything.

I will say that there is one thing to be cautious about: be careful if you want to use this on your face instead of a facial moisturizer, because it may not play well with other cleansers/toners you use. I applied a little bit to my cheeks and forehead to rub in out of curiosity one night after a shower and underneath my eyes, my cheeks, my eyebrow area and chin started to burn. I had to wash it off asap. I usually don't use regular lotions on my face anyway so chances are it won't happen to you, but use caution regardless. Overall, at least for my body, this lotion is amazing.

This is a great body moisturizer, however the smell is not what I expected. There is a "cherry almond" scent to it, but it's overpowered by a heavy perfume scent.
It absorbs into the skin nicely but I cannot say I will repurchase this particular lotion.

Ahh, the sweet nostalgia that is the cherry almond scent of the original Jergens lotion! I love this stuff; it sinks into my skin very well, providing lasting moisture. I particularly like to apply before bed, so that it has all night to sink in. This has saved my hands from all the washing I do at work as a nurse, and I keep a travel sized bottle in my work bag. I love the old-fashioned scent of this product, too.

I absolutely adore the scent of this lotion, cherry almond...makes my skin so soft and smooth..i've gotten so many compliments about how soft my skin is thanks to this. I also use it on my little one after his bath. Highly recommend.

Perhaps its the wonderful cherry-almond scent, or the fact that it reminds me of my childhood, but this will always remain my favorite body lotion. The smell is one of the best ever, and it really does leave my skin silky soft. I love cheap, great products and this one definitely is both! Will always use :-)

LOVE this stuff! I love the cherry almond scent! It isn't artificial smelling or too heavy. I find it very light and doesn't overpower my body spray or perfume, and the lotion itself sinks right into my skin and keeps it soft. And the bottle is HUGE and the price is CHEAP! And since I'm in college and can't keep shelling out dollars for BBW, this is a great (and cheap) alternative! Would definitely buy again!

I love this moisturizer i love jergens they have the best variety of lotions they are inexpensive for the huge bottle that they come in i love the original scent one it defenetly reminds me of my child hood and my doctor he was a huge fan of jergens and encouraged everyone to use it ive tried so far the anti aging one the aloe one and the original scent im looking foward to trying all of them so far i love the ones ive tried i defenetly recommend jergens for theyr quality theyr packaging theyr variety and inexpnsiveness hope this helped :)

This is the best stuff ever. Leaves my skin soft and not greasy at all. I happen to love the smell, though I understand why a person might not. It's definitely different...


Nice anecdote: I keep a bottle of this in my bathroom at the sink and a friend and her husband were over recently and he used my bathroom. When he came out, he raved about the Jergens lotion in there and how it was a smell from his childhood that he loved but was never able to identify...until his trip to my bathroom.


Lovely stuff that makes lots of people happy.

I keep a pump bottle of Jergens Original on my desk. It's perfect because I don't have to fumble around with unscrewing a top on and off. The scent is pleasant and I haven't had any problem with it affecting my sometimes sensitive nose. The lotion itself is very moisturizing, especially since the soap at work is quite drying; before using Jergens, I kept a tube of B&BW's Shea Cashmere lotion on my desk and that did nothing to alleviate my peeling fingers. I'll stick to Jergens. The only trouble I can foresee with the pump version is trying to get at the last little bit in the container, but this isn't a huge deal since it's dirt cheap at WalMart.

This lotion is quite the problem. It's addicting! The smell is amazing, I sometimes open the cap just to sniff one of my favorite scents!

It should be noted that the delicious cherry almond smell does not linger for an extended period of time so it won't compete with perfume. And its a soft and non chemical smell that sometimes happens with cherry scented products.

The lotion itself absorbs quickly and is a fairly normal run of the mill drugstore consistency but I feel like th moisture level is really great with this lotion.

I would, have, and will continue to repurchase.
