I looove Cover Girl Lipslicks!
I bought this in Princess. It is a shimmery pink shade. I was worried it was going to be a little too frosty, but it was the perfect shade for me.
I like the packaging and the product lasts a long time.
It is also very easy to apply.

I bought this in the Cutie shade. It's somewhat moisturizing, but a little too shimmery for my taste. It's got a distinct lipstick-y taste, but it's not overbearingly horrible. I'd suggest wearing at least a thin layer of chapstick under this when you apply it only because it will make dry lips look even drier when applied. The lipslick has very nice packaging though. I probably won't be repurchasing the stick version of these lipslicks, but I might try the lip gloss tube versions.

I really, really like these. I didn't realize how much until I tried Maybelling Baby Lips recently. I have probably used Covergirl Lipslicks for 7 or 8 years. I keep one in my purse and in the bathroom drawer for touchups during the day. Just a hint of color and lots of moisture. I just wish it had sunscreen in it.

These are a perfect, timeless classic! I have been using Lip Slicks for 15 years. I could not tell you how many tubes I have purchased over the years. I like all colors, but the lighter ones I apply just like chapstick. They are glossy, moisturizing, long-lasting, and with a hint of color, they are perfect for keeping in your pocket and applying whenever without a mirror. These are neither cakey and waxy, or that awful plastic silicone feel. They are just perfect! I love my expensive, highly pigmented lip sticks, but for everyday, around the house, running to the grocery store type days, these are perfect. I keep the clear one all the time just for moisturizer underneath lip stick. I love the L'Oreal Balm sticks as well. Those two products I think are VERY similar. I agree with the person who said if they had to pick just one lip product, it would be this. I never get tired of these. They do kind of have that traditional waxy, old fashioned lip stick smell, but it's not overpowering, and I can't smell it unless I stick the tube right up to my nose. The only way to make these perfect would be to add some nice fruity smelly and flavor. If they did that, I would probably never even try any other lip products.

If I had to pick one lip product it would be these. They are a shimmery tinted lip balm pretty much but are soo nice. I like how light and airy they feel on my lips and the shimmer is so pretty. They are sheer but do leave a hint of color and can be built up or applied lighter. I also love the pretty pastel colored packaging they have.

I have literally over a hundred lipsticks but I find myself using Cover Girl lipslicks almost every day. The colors are sheer and beautiful. The lasting power is very short but I can reapply without looking in a mirror and they are moisturizing. This is one of the very few products that I have bought over and over again for several years.

I've tried almost everything out there in terms of balms, always seeking to make my lips soft and smooth. Apart from vaseline and cocoa butter, lipslicks is one of the only things that makes my lips soft. It does wear off after a while, but when it does lips don't feel super dry or cracked like most balms made my lips feel (i.e. Blistex, chapstick, carmex, nivea). I love the packaging as well, I think it looks sleek and sophisticated. The smell is kinda bad, it definitely smells like makeup, but application is easy. I found it to be better than the new Baby lips by Maybelline, which wore off a lot faster and made my lips feel dry after.
Tbh, I will probably stick with vaseline and palmer's cocoa butter in stick form from now on, but lipslicks is next on my list in terms of performance.

I bought this while waiting for the Maybelline Baby Lips balm to come out in my local stores. I found it to be very horrid. It smells like a combo of cheap lipstick and baby powder- which is DISGUSTING and it doesn't taste any better. The color was very sheer and frosty which is not what I wanted at all and the texture didn't feel like a lip balm which is what it promised to be. It felt and smelled cheap- there are tons of way better products- I would advise the Maybelline Baby Lips, eos lip balm, or the CG natureluxe- but not this!! will never, ever buy again. gross.

I love this product however I HATE the smell and I'm not usually a person who even notices product smells. It's possible I have a bad one but I don't think so... it just smells really old school. reminds me of my grandmothers makeup box

I don't think I would buy this one again just because it cracks in the tube and mine completely broke off where it cracked. I don't know how it did that but the crack was right above the bottom part of the end of the lipstick. Right above the plastic part on the inside. The color was good (Cutie), and it went on well, but seemed kind of cheap in quality. I am looking forward to buying a different brand of lipstick. This one just seemed to be for younger teen girls or something. Cheap but still works if you have to use it instead of something better.

Okay so I happened to see this in Rite Aid and picked it up, I got this in pearlygirl which is a perly, white, sheer lipstick, it shows up pretty good but when the sun hits it, it gives the lips a sheer pearly glow. I was not feeling this lipstick at first HOWEVER, after working with it a little I am soo in love with the lipstick, its not stick, I love how when the sun hits it, it gives my lips a pearly sheer glow. It can look slightly dry at times when I wear it however, I do put my MAC lipglass over it to make it more shiny and sexy and if I dont feel like wearing any color or my other lipglosses, its good just to slap on to still feel sexy and I will be buyig this product when I run out

Ahhh...memories of middle and high school. Was the only thing my mom would let me put on my lips when I was 13! Love em though, gotten a couple that are a bit too light on their own, but layered with lipstick or liner it works out just fine. I'm one of those that constantly put on gloss/balm/whatever, and I like how cheap they are!

These are perfect to layer over lipliner. I use the one in Daring over my Revlon Colorstay lipliner in Siennas, Wines, or Nudes. It keeps my lips soft and moisturized with just a hint of glossiness. I hope this never gets discontinued because I have never found another product that can do what this does. I've gone through about one tube a month for the past 15 years, although I have used different colors of it during different times.
EDIT 8.4.11
Although I love how this product looks and feels on my lips I have stopped using it. I just couldn't take the smell and taste anymore and once I discovered glosses that actually smell and taste nice I decided it was time for a change. If they added a nice scent I'd buy this again.

I saw this at Target and thought "Wow the color looks great." When I brought it home and tried it I was disappointed. Twisitng it up was fine but applying it.... another story. The product was too big to fit nicely on your lips and was oversized. Not ideal at all. The color was too light to see also.

This product takes me back to middle school! Along with CG green powder compact. Along with Maybelline's green and pink mascara!
I only got 1 color of these i remember the name back then being something like "pink sand" or something with "sand".
I recently after MANY years of not re-purchasing this lipslick, ventured over to CG tofind it. Well i noticed many more colors, I think back in the day they only having 4 choices? Clear, Bronze, Red and Pink colors? So i looked for the name and i did not see the name!!!
I figured Cutie was the color i used to use, just renamed.
I was correct!
I always loved this and its great for the summer time. =)

I gladly purchased one of these lipslicks at my local flea market. Without that faithful encounter, I never would've known of their awesome existance!
I bought the lipslick in "Clear" (number 105). It's perfect for finishing off a cute, moisturizing pout! It acts more as a lip gloss, but a lot less shiny. I especially like that characteristic because I'm one of those girls who look like a faux Angelina Jolie imposter with my big, over-sized lips.
My lips are probably one of my worst features, as they look like they don't belong on my small square face. They're uneven with the rest of my look. Whenever I slather on lip gloss, my lips look even bigger and way out of proportion.
Yet no matter how weird I feel my lips are, this is one of the very few lip products I can wear without threat. While wearing "Clear", I don't have to worry about looking like a (total) freak.
As for the taste of it, I can't speak for all of Covergirl's marvelous lipslicks, but the one I own definitely tastes like ordinary lip balm. The scent even smells clean like lip balm too.
The shape and size of Covergirl's lipslick's tubes all normally fit perfectly within most purses, make-up trains, and also the smallest of the small in terms of make-up bags or clutches.
Not to mention the price of these things are amazing. After Googling, I learned that for less than five dollars, you can complete your look. How wonderful! The availability is quite nice as well, as you can find these just about anywhere. Dollar Stores, Dollar Generals, Walgreens, Walmart, Rite Aid, Target, etc, etc.
Now to be perfectly honest here, I would've given this product a set of five stars if not for the lack of moisturization and how Covergirl tests on our furry-friends. Applied, my lipslick only lasts about 20-30 minutes. After that time-frame catches up, my lips begin to chap, and I have to re-apply.
Plus I found Covergirl tests on animals. Being a huge animal enthusiast, that struck me to the core. No amount of beauty is worth hurting others for.
If not for Covergirl's animal testing, I would purchase this cheapie again.

I own these in Hipster, Edgy and Demure and i absolutely LOVE them!! i work in an animal hospital where it really makes no sense to cake a whole lot of makeup on so i just carry this product in my scrub pocket :). Its cheap, it looks amazing with lipliner underneath (my fav combo is MAC's Beurre lipliner with Edgy on top) its very natural looking.

I like the no-frills look of this product. I was surprised to see it in the States as I believe this product was pulled from Canadian shelves long time ago. I bought this in 'Princess' because I was enticed by its pink colour. On my lips though, it is more of a berry red. These colours are actually not that sheer but they do mix with your natural lip colour so keep in mind when choosing a shade. These feel very smooth and hydrating going on. Staying power is about the same as every other balm/sheer lipstick out there (little to 2 hours at most depending on what you're doing...). Other than that, I really don't like the 'taste' or 'scent' of these things, very generic lipstick smell. How about making it slightly more fruity? Or minty even? Anything..
