This is an amazing crease shade! It also looks so great if you just want to wear one color of eye shadow. What I like to do is put on an eye primer, put the nyx jumbo eye pencil in 'real gold' all over half of my eyelid, and then put volcano everywhere (all over lid, in the crease). It gives you a neutral look, but it also makes your eyes pop. It also makes you look like your wearing multiple colors.

super pretty brown! its just a dark brown with a red undertone and with lots of shimmer, nothing too unique, but its nice!

This color looks so pretty in the pan, but it swatches nothing like it looks. The swatch is matte, very one dimensional, poorly pigmented and a really drab color. No different on the eye, though it does seem to have a slight red tinge on the eye, just enough to make you look sick. Also, very difficult to blend.

It's going in the make up graveyard, though I do generally like the NYX shadows and will keep trying different shades.

Love this eye shadow for evening. Beautiful coppery darker brown. Wearing it right now with a Tarte plummy brown Amazonian Clay liner. Gorgeous! I love all my NYX shadows. Very nice blendablility. High quality for a reasonable price. No complaints.

One of my fave e/s from NYX. Volcano is a very close dupe to MAC Twinks. I have them both swatched now and there is only a slight difference. Volcano is a bit more sparkley whereas Twinks is more of a shimmer. Also, Volcano does have burgundy in it but it stands out a little more in Twinks. Another slight difference is that when I tried to rub the swatches off, Twinks had slightly better staying power. Volcano has a warm medium brown base with hints of gold and burgundy. I found that when comparing Twinks and Volcano, Volcano was just as pigmented and smooth and blends effortlessly. I have pigmented lids (tea stained a bit) and they tend to get oily by midday. But, Volcano never disappoints and stays true all day (with a primer). A little tip, Volcano looks very pretty paired with MAC e/l Kohl in Teddy. Volcano is one of my favorite NYX eye shadows. It's very blendable and I mainly use it when I want to do a brown smokey eye. I would definitely repurchase.

I've spent YEARS trying to replace my LÓreal Kings Ransom :(
This looks exactly like it in the pan but i got no payoff.
Literally no pigmentation, not even a handful of glitter, just a kind of dirt brown.
I love NYX eyeshadows but not this bad boy.

Great shade and texture. It is, on me, a metallic browny plummy burgundy shade. Very nice neutral. Think a (more vibrant) Glamour Check (MAC). Very, very nice 'dressy' neutral.

My search for the perfect brown for evening is finally over ~ I bought at least ten to twelve NYX brown eye shadows, and then I ordered Volcano. I told myself "no more NYX eye shadows, no matter what". Now, I need to get my act together and swap all the NYX shadows that I have not used.


Volcano arrived and this shadow looks beautiful for evening. It's a perfect match with the NYX, Jumbo pencil, French Fries. Volcano is a very pretty, shimmery, plum brown, which is perfect because I don't like coppery or reddish brown tones. My quest for the perfect brown is finally over. I spent way too much money trying to find it and I am glad that my search is over. I will definitely buy this shadow again, and my NYX collection is complete at 30+ shadows...

This is a super close dupe to MAC's Twinks (which I have & love). Highly pigmented, goes on super smooth, & the price is pretty darn cheap!! Try this one out as you won't regret it. (I'm a C3/NC25)

This is such a gorgeous color. It is a rich brown with shimmer. The quality is outstanding and it is very blendable and goes on like a dream. I love the single pot the NYX eyeshadows come in and I love them all.

Very suprised to see a low rating on this! Volcano is a deep, coppery bronze with tiny glitter particles that show up on your lids. It looks like it has a red tint to it, hence the name Volcano, but it does not look red at all on my lids. Very smooth texture and rich pigmentation. A co-worker commented that the shade really worked with my skin-tone. Medium, neutral skin tone. This also makes blue eyes pop. After I tried this on, I ran into a customer who needed help and she immediately commented on how beautiful my eyes were. So naturally, I had to have this and bought it before I left! lol I love it.

This eyeshadow reminds me of Mac Trax, although this is brown with purple hints and Trax is more straight out purple. Unfortunately that's not a good comparison, as like Trax, Volcano has black undertones that make my eyelids looks like a smeary mess with random gold glitter on top. Really hard to wear, but at least it was cheap. I'm NC50 for reference.

Like a slightly lighter, more shimmery/metallic Eutopia. There's a fair bit of purple and copper in this. I find the sparkle a bit much, but if you like shimmer, go for it -- it's a lovely shade.

This is another new shade by NYX. How to describe it....a rich, cool brown with a delicate copper sparkle. Absolutely stunning, can't wait to pair it with a pretty gold shadow to highlight. VERY high-end and dimensional!!! I'm SO in love!!!
