Oh wow I am in love with this polish! It is the perfect blue toned (cool toned) red polish with tiny shimmers in it. It looks absolutely fabulous on the nail. Lasts long and doesn't chip quickly either. What more can you ask for in a polish? LOVE LOVE LOVE

I'm really hopping on the bandwagon here because others have already described the polish so well, but it's rare that I find a red I like this much! Subtle gold shimmer adds dimension to a really gorgeous flame red - some might call it tomato - not orange, but definitely a warm shade of red that looks amazing on pale skin. One of Essie's superior colors!

Beautiful, vibrant red. It's not sparkly, more of a velvety sheen. It doesn't chip or peel off as fast as one OPI red I wore prior to this one. Two coats and it is opaque.

Jag-U-Are is a nice bright red with gold shimmer. It applies nicely and covers well in 2 coats. Drying time is ok but I can't really comment on it since I always use a quick-drying top coat.

I normally don't wear red nail polish because I don't like it much. But when I was shopping the other day, I came across jag-u-are and I just fell in love with it. It's such a gorgeous shade of red and it is a high quality nail polish.
It doesn't take a long time to dry and it's not too runny and I cannot get over how fabulous the color is.

The only problem that I encountered with this is that it chips a little, not too noticeable but it does chip. Other than that, it's a really great nail polish.
I would definitely recommend this and I would buy this nail polish again. :)

Although I have many red polishes in my collection, this is my absolute favorite! I can see why many reviewers say they love it for the holiday season, but it is also an amazing summer red. On my fair, cool-toned skin, it leans more blue-based on the nail, though it looks more orangey in the bottle. It is the perfect red - it looks great on many skin tones and just GLOWS on the nail. Essie is usually around $8 per bottle, which is pretty fair pricing. I only paid $3 for this polish at Trade Secret during one of their huge sales, so the price was a definite steal. I'm really wishing I had gotten a backup of this color, and will probably end up hunting one down.

Over the years I have been rather faithful to Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent, mainly because of their colors, but also because of the superior quality of their polish. This year, however, Essie is available in my country for the first time, and of course I had to try it.

My first purchase was Jag-u-are, and the color and the quality just swept me away. For the last couple of decades I have worn red on my toenails only, and some kind of beige/pink/white on the fingernails, but this color was so wonderful that I just had to put it on my fingernails too. In the bottle it looks slightly orange, but on the nails it seems more blue based than yellow based - at least on my pale (pasta colored) skin. After the first layer it was slighty transparent (but not at all streaky), and after the second layer it was a sort of slightly metallic strawberry enamel. Not light - not dark - just a happy, happy, pure red for summer.

Thus encouraged I went back and bought two other colors from Essie (Waltz and Scarlett O'Hara) which turned out to be disappointing - especially Waltz. But I'll review them seperately.

Love this color! It's one of my go to holiday colors. A really nice red, more on the orange-red side of the spectrum (as opposed to a more blue toned red) with a gorgeous gold undertone/shimmer. Looks great on nails and toes.

Formula seemed really great as well, sad I only have a mini version, but I rarely go through a whole bottle anyway.

As everyone else has noted below, this is an amazing red. Glowy, medium-dark red. Great for warm skin or pale. It is one of the most shiny shades I have ever used. A little too much brown in it though for me to be utterly perfect. I bet it becomes a cult favorite.

This is the perfect slightly-sprakly-and-still-wearable red! Definitely my favourite red, both for mani- and pedicures. The only negative things for me is the brush, as it's too thin for my liking (I prefer the OPI kind). Still a fantastic shade, though!

My most favoritest red ever!! It is the most perfect metallicish cheery candy apple red and looks amazing on my toes with pale feet.

Other reds I have are OPI Not Really a Waitress (Essie Jag-U-Are is brighter than this, though I still like this color) and China Glaze Ruby Pumps (Jag-U-Are is also much brighter than this; Ruby Pumps did not work on me)

I haven't worn nail polish since last year and then, I only wore dark vampy shades in the winter. I found half a bottle of this bright red polish in a drawer and have been on an Essie kick since. Although I've bought bottles of mint green and bright coral pink, I still consider this to be my favorite color. The shade makes me feel like Snow White and never fails to put a smile on my face. I just need another bottle!

I adore this gorgeous bright shiny red. Jag-U-Are has great wow factor - it's a bright cherry red but with a pearl finish so it looks like rich bright red satin on my nails. It's dazzling! This polish applies like a dream - sometimes I have a bit of trouble getting metallic or pearl colors on my nails just right but Jag-U-Are applies almost like a cream with smooth & even coverage. I do 2 coats allowing 2 minutes dry time between coats. If you have a lot of red polishes I would still check this shade out - the combination of it's perfect bright red color and it's shiny pearl finish make it a standout in the red polish crowd. It's like sexy in a bottle! ;D

Beautiful lacquered red which applies very well and wears well too. It's not so much a cheery Christmas red (although it would look great around the holidays) but more of a deep, classy gorgeous red which reminds me of the red enamel in some antique japanese treasures. So far three full days without any chipping and I do a lot of typing.

Absolutely the sexiest ,most wearable red I have ever come across!!!!To me it seems to be a bit blue based and would compliment all skin tones.IMO the perfect holiday red,
Beautiful metallic and shiney! It even goes on great with no streaks, that on my hands I did one coat and 2 on my toes to punch it up even further.This needs to be a staple in anyones nail polish wardrobe !! LOVE IT!!

Jag-u-are is shimmery warm red that just GLOWS. Probably the sexiest red I've worn to date. Looks great on my toes and lasted a solid 2 weeks before I had any chips, and that's with closed-toe shoes. This is one of those reds that is perfect for any time and any occasion; wear it casually, wear it for an event, wear it for a holiday bash - you'll look terrific in it. LOVE this color.
