Not great but not bad. Need a lash comb with this one. Pros are it doesn't smudge, lengthens and defines (if you use a lash comb!). Cons are it doesn't hold a curl as well as I'd like and doesn't do much for volume.

very easy to apply, makes my lashes longer but too bad this is not waterproof.

A lovely GA makeup artist gave me a full size sample of this mascara in the shade 2. At first i thought it was a brown mascara, which i never wear as my hair is so dark but its a charcoal colour. As others have mentioned, the brush is tricky to use but once you get the hang of it- its great! The key is to wiggle at the roots of lashes and as you move to the tips twirl/twist the wand slightly. I use this on a daily basis as i find it gives a natural look but with more coats it would give a more dramatic finish. Although i didn't buy it, when i run out i will buy one- im tempted to get the black but this colour makes a nice subtle change.

HG ALERT! My search is over! I have it in "Obsidian Black" and love it. When I saw the comb at first I was shocked, but wanted to give it a try. Iīm so glad I did.
It perfectly lengthens, divides and gives a slight volume. Itīs very sexy and I donīt look like a panda in the evening.

Well...I have to say that I'm disappointed. After reading several good reviews about this mascara and listening to my sister (who is a makeup artist) rave about it, I was more than willing to shell out the $28. I bought it in "obsidian black" and I've had it for about 2 weeks now, so I am confident in saying that it does't deliver. I have very fine, light, pretty much non existent lashes and I'm always looking for a mascara that both lengthens and thickens, which is exactly what Mr. Armani claims that this does. Well...while it did lengthen, it definitely doesn't thicken (which for me is the most important of the two). Plus, the lengthening that it does do isn't anything extraordinary. I actually think that my lashes look a little wiry when I use it and it definitely isn't a mascara that I can use unless I line my eyes, otherwise my lashes look too thin and scarcely spaced (isn't mascara supposed to remedy that?).
In my opinion, its a lot of hype that doesn't deliver and it definitely isn't worth the money...any old mascara would give these results.

I love this mascara! When I seen the brush I didn't like it because it reminded me of Lancome Fatale. Thinking it was going to clump I used it and to my surprise it brushed on the producte evenly. NO clumps just beautiful application. Been using it for almost 2 month's now and it hasn't dried up and the application is just as perfect.Lovely long lashes and the best part no raccoon eyes. All the other mascara's that I've tried like Lancome, Clinique, EL, Too Face,YSL,MUFE and so many more have given me raccoon eyes. This is a definetly HG for me.

It seems strange when you see it for the first time. but it is better than I thought. The brush is unusual but the mascara itself is very good quality. Eyelashes look longer but natural. It doesnot do a lot about volume.

after Dior, Estee Lauder, Lancome, Maybelline, Max Factor, Yves Saint Laurent, Biotherm, Korres, L'oreal, Guerlain,MAC ... THIS IS IT...
one word includes all: amazing! i had the blackest black version which gave dramatic black volumized and long lashes....
i have two complaints only: it did not hold the curl too long and the price...
other than Maestro is in my wish list Once More ;)

I am an Armani makeup artist but i do usually wear other brands of makeup and mascaras, but the first time i used this i was in LOVE. i have very tiny eyelashes and i often wear falsies to make my lashes look fuller but this stuff is better than falsies. Note, everyones lashes are different and eyes are shaped different so just becuase you see a bad review on here doesnt mean it wont work for YOU. i recommend trying this at least and you can always return it :)

I'm on the fence with this mascara. It does lengthen a little but there are others that lengthen better. It doesnt do much by the way of thickening. I think for the price, it should work better.

PROs: Its the best mascara I've ever used!!! I normally use Clinique (which i also think is great) as it gives me a natural finish, but GA Maestro is fantastic! It gives you volume and length without clumps and it does not look fake (for those who are after a more natural look). The mascara liquid itself is thick, but for some reason, it glides onto your lashes like water, its the smoothest application I've ever experienced! The mascara, when applied correctly, separates your lashes really really well and makes your lashes look thin, and what i mean by this is that your lashes are separated one by one, yet it is volumised and lengthened - didn't know it was possible!
CONs: The brush takes a while getting used to as there are only four rows of bristles and they are quiet short, so you may experience clumps in your lashes if you haven't mastered the use of the brush. Having said that, this does not take away from the quality of the product and how it performs.
Highly recommended and i will definitely be re-purchasing!
TIP: To get great results, twirl/push the brush outwards and flick it up, slowly and lightly. If you push too hard up against your lashes, you'll get lumps of mascara liquid from the brush.

I found this mascara way too thick and clumpy. Very difficult to apply. I only use this for my bottom lashes as I didn't want it to go to waste.

The best mascara I have ever used! My old favorite used to be Diorshow. This mascara is a much better mascara than Diorshow. My lashes look amazingly long. Easy to apply. Brush allows me to get very close to the base of my lashes. Never clumps, smears, or leaves me looking like a racoon at the end of day.

This mascara is seriously the best I've ever tried.
Application maybe tricky initially and I was skeptical when I first saw the type of brush used (sort of like a tiny comb smeared with mascara) but my gosh I was pretty amazed at the results. Even after a few months of usage, there are no clumps at all upon application. Lashes are super lengthened and give off this bouncy and shiny texture after the mascara dries. It is also able to hold the curling and crimping in place and opens the eyes up. Does not smudge at least not for me.
I got the one that is not waterproof so it comes off easily when you're taking it off at the end of the day.
The only negative I can think of is that initially its abit wet and messy when you're not used to putting it on. But its definitely worth the investment.

I actually won this and a few other Armani products at work but I would defiantly buy this mascra though, although it is expensive it is certainly worth the money!
I have had so many different mascra's in the past, of all price ranges but this is bar far the beat yet! I am so pleased with it. It made my lashes lenghten so much also the volume it added to my lashes is unbeliveable!
I LOVE THIS MASCRA! THANKS Armani :D x x x

If you are looking for an overpriced, badly-designed mascara that will make your lashes clump together like there is no tomorrow, by all means, get this.
The brush is too small and the bristles too short for the amount of product that it picks up, meaning that either you will end up with big blops of black goo that will agglutinate your lashes in small bunches or are forced to wipe the brush with a tissue prior to application, wasting huge amounts of product.
Only for those who aspire to having small black triangular clumps adorn their lashline rather than a neat row of properly seperated lashes. To complete this picture of loveliness, this mascara loves to rearange itself into a constallation of small smears and black dots around your eyes. Very sticky.
I am surprised that overall the reviews are favourables. I threw it out two weeks after I bought it, after many frustrating attempts. Maybe the one I got had gone off. I got it after reading Giselle rave about it in a magazine, thinking "here's someone who knows a thing or two about mascara, having been exposed to so many make-up artists and products during shoot and fashion shows". Well just goes to show that preferences are subjective!

I have this in the black obsidian color, which is a deep dark glossy black. It adds a lot of volume and length; the brush takes some getting used to. It is a rectangular box shaped brush and has combs (wide set teeth) on the 4 edges; and it is very flexible/wobbly. The brush is almost identical to L'Oreal Telescopic mascara. My curl stayed in place all day (curled and primed before using this) and my lashes were really soft after using Maestro. Especially when the tube is new, the brush deposits a lot of product onto your lashes so I always end up having to comb them out afterwards since it tends to clump lashes together and I prefer a more defined lash look. It helps to wipe a little product of the brush before using it. It does not smudge and doesn't flake much, though sometimes if worn for a whole day I do see some flakes. I think it works better now that its about a month old than when I first opened it. This is a good mascara for bold lashes but I wouldn't say it is perfect. It used to only be available at one store in my area, but I recently noticed it is now on the Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus websites, which is convenient. I couldn't describe the brush very well, so for a picture of the brush up close click continued

The trick seems to be in the comb and I have yet to master it. My first few attempts were very messy - the comb deposits a lot of mascara on the lashes and seems to add to the clumping rather than help separate and define lashes. The formula is very sticky and takes a long time to dry, though it volumizes and lengthens quite well. By the time I comb through my lashes again and they finally dry, they lose all curl. For now I wipe most of the formula off the comb before I use it, then apply only to the ends after I've used another mascara and my lashes do look dramatic and long. I love the potential but it should really be easier than this.

I LOVELOVELOOOOVE this product!!!
I am not usually a mascara girl due to the fact that genetics has blessed me with short eyelashes that I must embrace... and the Maestro helps me do so!
The unique comb individually coats every single lash and the tube has lasted me a long while without drying out or causing clumps. If you're looking for volume and a great formulation, this one is IT!!!
My eyes tend to smudge any liner/mascara-- but this one doesn't budge. LOVE IT!!

I love this mascara! I can describe myself as a mascara addict, I usually try a new mascara every couple of months. I have tried practically all of Lancome's mascaras, as well as a ton of others. And I can say with confidence that this is by far the best mascara I have ever used. I usually look for length, but this also thickens in addition to lengthening. Plus, the lengthening effects of this mascara are the best that I have ever seen. You also don't need a ton of coats to build up the effect, the lashes look magnificent even after one coat. My new favorite mascara, will definitely repurchase!
