i bought no. 18 and it is a true antique gold color that i've been searching for a long time. in the pan, it looks like a one of a kind eye shadow, but when i swatched it, it looks like any dark goldish-brown color that i can find in the drugstores. however, i could layer it with a dirty gold eye shadow and the antique gold color will show up. the glitter shows up, too. as for pigmentation, you have to pack it on whatever tools you're using, but it's not bad though.
price is okay, i guess.
i won't buy this again, because i don't think i would finish it. i'll probably put it on my desk and admire the pretty color whenever i'm bored.

I received this as a gift. Not sure of the color name, but it is a light brown color with of course tons of sparkles. Way too sparkly to be worn as eyeshadow I have found, sparkles got all over my face when i tried this. I have however used it wet as eyeliner on my bottom lashline and it actually looked quite nice. Pretty to look at in the container, not for everyday use though. Wouldn't purchase any other colors.

This is pretty just to look at and that's about it for me. This has way OOT glitter fallout and I wear clear contacts so I don't know what I was thinking. You do get a some color payoff and it eye catching esp if you want to use it to go out at night. This was just not for me cause of the fallout.

I bought no. 2 and no. 10.
No. 2 is a silver/blue and no. 10 is a beige/olive, both very sparkly. I tried using them together, thinking they'd make a nice combo but 2 only works as a highlighter (browbone and inner corners) or completely by itself (works beautifully with a pecan eyeliner but looks a little garish with a darker eyeliner). 2 and 10 might work well together on some, but do not look good together with my colouring (medium-fair with hazel eyes and dark brown hair). The glitter does get all over your face as some have mentioned but that is easily rectified with a quick skimming over your face with a towel or powder brush. Just be careful when you're applying it - a little at a time makes less of a mess. I love no. 10 in combination with a soft pink eyeshadow and dark brown/black liner. I didn't find it caked up at all, just apply some powder over and press a damp washcloath to set, leaves a nice subtle, long-lasting finish. Nice pretty shimmer.

I love love love this color. It's a gorgeous sparkly olive/brown color. Unfortunately, the sparkles in the eyeshadow tend to fall out on my cheek. There's just no way to prevent it. I usually use this color in my crease for sexy definition. And for $10 this is a great e/s. i just don't know if I would reurchase it because of the fall out

I bought this eyeshadow in Strass # 2, a pale silver. I would like to warn that this eyeshadow is not for the meek. I use it when I go out clubbing, for a dramatic, eye-catching look. The colour is good, and the sparkles are sort of the main point of this eyeshadow. However, the sparkles spread onto cheeks over time, and I have to keep reminding myself not to touch my eyelids.
So, if you're looking for something more exciting than the usual natural-toned eyeshadow, try experimenting with Strass, otherwise stick to safer shades.

I bought these at the time that I was into garish, glittery eyeshadows. Now that I've wisened up and learned better, I look at these shadows and ask myself, "WHAT WAS I THINKING?" I agree with others that the glitter is too big and chunky and looks almost like I put craft glitter on my eyelids. It doesn't go on smoothly and flakes all over my eyelashes and I end up with glitter all over my face somehow. This product could have had great potential if only the glitter was a little bit finer. From certain angles when the glitter doesn't sparkle, it kind of just made my eyes look dirty or something. Maybe I'm just a cheapskate but if I'm going to pay $10 for a single eyeshadow, it better be a good one that I can use up till the end and this is not one of them.

So actually I'm really surprised when I came to MUA and read these reviews on this product because I personally love it. The other reviewers talk about the glitter being in chunks, but thats not so. While, it may not be micro-glitter, the glitter is very evened out and when applied has a really great effect. It opens your eyes up greatly, and I really would recommend this shadow to all. But I think the difference truly lies in the color your you select, I got Strass No. 8, and a soft plum with silver glimmer, and it looks great on. Its long lasting, stays on great all day and the color doesn't fade a bit. Application is very easy, I was and eye shadow novice when I picked this product up last weekend. Compared other eye shadows this is great! I truly recommend this product, just try it on in the store in the right shade, and its definately worth giving a try! plus its only $10!!!

Well if you are looking for an e/s to give your lids a subtle shimmery/sparkling look and nothing more, don't even think about purchasing this. This eyeshadow has tons of chunky glitter, almost reminiscent of regular glitter you would buy at a craft store. I bought #11 which is a neutral peachy shade with gold glitter. The eyeshadow itself is pretty smooth, but the glitter chunks make it rough. I have no problem with glitter eyeshadows. Urban Decay (famous for their glittery eyeshadows) is one of my favorite brands, but this one looks ridiculous on me. There is WAY too much glitter given the size of the chunks and it just doesnt apply evenly. The eyeshadow itself doesnt crease, but the glitter does so it just looks weird and pretty ugly actually. Not to mention it also falls all over my face and just sits under my eye and on my cheek. $10 isnt a bad price, but the eyeshadow just isnt flattering. I'll be returning this asap.

I bought three of these new, mono strass eyeshadows from Sephora. They are all similar in texture and performance. I bought No. 17 (a pale, yellow-gold w/ gold glitter), becuz it seemed like it might be similar to Bobbi Brown's LE Gilded Diamond Dust eyeshadow, which I unfortunately missed out on. I find that the texture and overall product of Bobbi Brown's Diamond Dust is far superior to these Sephora shadows. These mono strass shadows are probably more comparable to MAC's Lustre formula eyeshadows, which I am not all that crazy about. The Sephora colorful mono strass No. 17 (that is the entire name of this eyeshadow) is more shimmery/pigmented than BB's Diamond Dust, but it is also more gritty in texture becuz of the chunky glitter in this e/s. I personally prefer the buttery-soft texture and microfine glitter in the BB Diamond Dust shadows compared to Sephora's version. The glitter in the Sephora shadows can be quite messy, and it seems to fly all over your face during application- and after! It is hard to overlook, because the glitter in this eyeshadow is as big as the pieces you find in a tube of glitter at your local craft store. I wear contact lenses, and I am actually a bit surprised that this has not irritated my eyes-- yet!I wouldn't wear these mono strass shadows alone, becuz 1) the color payoff is not that vivid, even after layering; and 2) they crease like the dickens after just a few hours! These really need to be worn over a base, or used as a highlighter over another eyeshadow. Today I did just that, and I dusted some of no. 17 over MAC Innuendo e/s. I have to say it looked rather remarkable, and it also is a pretty, flattering highlighter for the brow bone! (MAC NC30 for reference) Used over another e/s, this mono strass lasted all day on my lids without creasing. I am not really sure if I would repurchase, although- maybe. The price is not bad ($10), and the colors are pretty attractive. I just detest the chunky glitter, I really wish Sephora would have chosen more of a microfine glitter formula for these. I am also not crazy about the gritty texture (probably becuz of the chunky glitter), I prefer my eyeshadows more satiny and softer in texture. BUT- overall- I still do like the way it looks on my eyes... so I can't totally trash this product. I was torn between a 3-lippie and 4-lippie rating... but I gave it the "4" becuz 3 seemed a little low, and a 3.5 rounded off is closer to "4," so there it goes. ;o)
