AR glosses are glosses for women, not girls. This is the anti thesis of too shiny, too sticky, too frosty gloss. This color is an understated neutral-cool plum mauve that is perfect for enhancing ones lips when you want to really enhance your eyes. I love the doe foot applicator which doesn't dispense too much product, I love the lack or fragrance and I love the medium coverage and texture which is buildable. Because my lips need definition I use lip liner with all lip cosmetic and this is no exception although on the few occasions when I was rushed and applied this sans liner there is was no creeping outside my natural lip line. AR cosmetics are so elegant and competant that it's a shame Sephora dropped the line.

Okay, I may not be a lip gloss hater after all....normally, every kind out there has turned me off --- too runny, too sticky, not enough pigment --- this, however is a winner. The packaging is similar to Fresh's lipshines - slim tube with a sponge tipped wand - but the consistency is close to perfect. Very slightly sticky/waxy texture as the product dries down. It's labeled as a "volumizing" gloss --- how it does this, I don't know because it's neither shimmery nor cinnamon/peppermint flavored. It's just a straight up lip gloss product. "Chic" is my favorite shade -- a warm berry plum. It's a deep enough tint that I can wear alone & it's also a versatile layering shade as well.
