This astringent is amazing. It's a really nice step for after cleansing that leaves the face feeling fresh, and removes any traces of extra makeup. I also love this for cleaning the areas around pimples to prevent bacteria from spreading. I've repurchased it for many years and will continue to do so!

Love this stuff. I am acne prone and this really helps heal my skin without overdrying it. It takes the last traces of dirt and makeup off my skin, and menthol in it leaves my skin feeling so clean and refreshed. I have found that I break out more when I don't use this.

I have been using this astringent for a year and I love it! I buy the original version (not the Actives that is found in stores) on Amazon. I get a 3-pack for $18. One bottle lasts about 3 months with nightly use. I personally really love the smell of it, although it is very strong. I use it at night following my cleanser and it gets all the leftover makeup off my face. It has a menthol feel (from the peppermint oil and camphor) that I enjoy. I used this leading up to my Accutane treatment on my back and it was the only thing that worked to clear up my bacne (Accutane got rid of the rest of it). I hope they continue to make the original formula which I find better at clearing breakouts than the Actives version. It leaves my face feeling clean and fresh. I love it!

I have never been a very big fan of toners, but this one impresses me. I really like the the menthol feeling it leaves behind. It cleans away all the traces of makeup left behind. I will continue using it for the foreseeable future.

I love this toner! My dermatologist recommended it about 4 years ago and I have no idea why I stopped using it? My skin seems to produce less oil because I use this and the best part is that at night when I take off my makeup with makeup remover wipes, I dab some of this on a cotton ball and go over my face once I have used the wipes and it leaves my face without a trace of dirt or makeup. Its truly amazing how this toner really gets EVERYTHING off your face. LOVE(:

I purchase this in a large bottle from Sally's & use it during my manicures to clean my nails before applying polish. I noticed a manicurist using it once so decided to try it out & it works very well leaving the nails clean & dry. The scent is very strong so I think I'd be a lil nervous to use it on my face.

It's great if you want to get the gunk out of your pores; I like to use it after I've washed my face just to make sure there's no traces of makeup leftover. Don't be stingy with it though! Make sure to soak the cotton ball all the way through if you're serious about using it as a cleaner/toner.

I am using the newer one, the actives version, which is basically the original version, with the addition of 1% salicylic acid, which my skin has got to have every day or I will break out! I love it, I use and love Noxema, and Sea Breeze has similar ingredients, plus salicylic acid which I require in a toner. Most acne fighting astringents contain a high amount of alcohol, which is horrible for oily skin, but this one does not. I love the way it smells, feels, and the fact it works to keep my pores small and skin clear! I got a freakin huge 16oz bottle for the same price as the regular size bottle! I want to try the purple version next, I think it's called Actives Deep Pore astringent which has 2% salicylic acid, and see how they compare...will update! UPDATE: Ok, I do like the Deep Pore version (the purple one) much better. I guess my skin needs 2% SA, but my skin looks amazing and clear. You can order it on drugstore.com, but it's next to impossible to locate in stores :-(

I have been using sea breeze for about 2 to 3 years now and I can honestly say its the best astringent i have tried. I feel like it opens up my pore gets all the dirt and oil out. I have used several other products and have even tried expensive "top of the line" toners and they all gave my skin allergic reactions which is terrible! This is a great buy and it gets the job done!

I love Sea Breeze, the original. I tried the crap Actives a few years ago and hated them, but was thrilled when I found the original Sea Breeze at Walmart a few months ago. Sea Breeze was the ultimate cure all for any skin ailment when I was growing up. It soothes mosquito bites and itchy rashes, and and it will totally dry up any mystery things that show up on skin. I use it on a daily basis as a night astringent. I do a full face of makeup during the day, and even though I remove my makeup with olive oil, and wash with a good soap, I am still paranoid about leaving behind traces of makeup. Sea Breeze will pull all the gunk out of your pores and (I think) reduce acne pretty fast. My skin has gotten remarkably smooth and clear since starting to use the Sea Breeze again a few months ago, and I have noticeably less blackheads. I love the tingling feeling that it leaves, and it definitely reduces the oil that could make it's way to the surface of the skin. I have oily skin, but this can be drying, so I usually use a good moisturizing night cream after swabbing my face with this at night.

I'm really glad I bought this astringent! I have previously had a love/ hate relationship with toners. Either they were too harsh and made me break out, or they didn't do anything but feel good on my skin. I previously used Lancome's Pure Focus toner, and while it was really nice, it was super expensive! I've also used some of Clinique's toners, and the Clarifying Lotion #1 and #2 weren't too bad, but any of the other toners by Clinique are like torture on my face. So strong!
Anyway, on to the review! Many say that these type of toners are too harsh, and I will admit that this is a tad drying. Nothing to severe for me, but I always need to follow up with moisturizer. I do find that a little bit of salicylic acid in a toner is perfect for me. This keep my skin fresh since my dehydrated skin is prone to oiliness and my pores become clogged like none other! This toner really helps keep that at bay. A must for me.
CVS has a generic version of it for a bit cheaper, and if you like to buy this in bulk, the CVS brand has a pretty big bottle for cheap. The spout on the bottle can pour a lot quickly, so be careful.
Overall, love this astringent! It isn't expensive, so its worth a shot!

I got this to fight my moderate acne. I don't think this helped too much with that, but I definitely like how clean it made my skin feel. The cooling sensation is addicting. The smell is very "grandpa-like" but it's just to my liking. I don't worry about acne now but I still use this as a everyday toner. It does contain alcohol, but I don't find it irritating.I was using Clinique toner before, which was somewhat similar to this. I just like this so much more. It's a lot cheaper too. I also put this in a spray bottle and spray it into my scalp before I shower. Feels so good! I already bought another bottle during my christmas trip because they were always out of stock in my local Walmart.

I used this for a while until i began using Neutrogena astringent. Neutrogena is a lot better in my opinion. But this one is ok.

I LOVE Sea Breeze. There's nothing else out there that makes my skin feel so completely fresh & clean. I've tried all kinds of other expensive toners but I always come back to this one.

I have a very unconventional use for this. I color my hair often. I like to change it up. I use this to take off some of the color that may have gotten beyond where I put vaseline. Works like a charm! Takes off all of the color. Will always have this in my bathroom pantry just for that use. I can't use it on my face since it is a little too strong for me.

I am soooo glad they have started making this again in the original formula. The Actives version was awful. I used SeaBreeze as and teen and up until they quit making it...I was so excited to see it today. Not sure how long it's been back on the shelves but I just noticed it today and I am so excited! It's the best. It gets my face so clean and I love love love the tingle! There is not other astringent like it in my opinion.

I used to use this in my teen years and it definitely helped clear up my acne. It would probably be too strong on my skin now but for tempermetal, teenage skin, it works.

I have very oily skin and adult acne. I used every acne wash under the sun and nothing worked. I decided to go old school and wash with Purpose, then follow up with Sea Breeze. Haven't seen a pimple in months. What a great combination!

This didn't work for me. Witch hazel works so much better! And I can get that in a HUGE bottle! This was sticky and ended up making me VERY oily. Didn't notice any change in my skin. However, it works well for those itchy spots!
