This is a really pretty musk, one I was searching for that is a "my skin but better" scent. It is interesting just how much like my skin it smells once it is dried down. For the first 15 minutes it was nauseating, as musk can be when it smells very animalic but once it settled down, it does strangely give the slippery, fleshy impression of the skin inside an oyster, just the slightest bit of salt, warmth and a cuddly, soft animal feel.

It is pretty and one I see myself wearing A LOT. It would be something to reach for whenever I don't want to be noticeably wearing a perfume, to smell nice. I forget I'm actually wearing perfume with this, but then if I smell it closely it is really wonderful. It smells like the sexy female equivalent of what Kiehl's musk smelled like on my bf. However, it isn't the kind of scent that will EVER get you noticed or turn heads, because most people will be only subliminally aware that you even have a scent, or would assume it could be some type of laundry detergent or dryer fabric softener after-scent that most US citizens trail around with them everywhere, yet this is NICE. Something that makes you want to lean in closer and get a deeper whiff.. =p

There's something funky in here or it's a matter of chemistry but needless to say this is not working for me at all. There's something sour or just off. I've tried this several times & I'm still getting that sickening note that runs throughout. Really horrible on me. I'd recommend sampling to see how it works on you.

This is a very creamy-soft almost pure musc fragrance. I really enjoy layering this under light fresh fragrances as it adds a bit more depth and I must say my fragrances do last longer. This works very well as this is such a pure musc and though there are other notes they are not very present. I was not able to sense any plastic or soapy aroma within unlike some other reviewers. I have finished my sample of this and I will repurchase with my next order. I must add, though this fragrance is much lighter than Gardenia musc, the lasting power is much longer than the former. I highly recommend.

I have been sampling all the Ava Luxe musks. This is my favorite so far. Happily I do not get the soap or plastic a few have mentioned. A down-to-earth skin musk: no flowers, no citrus, no vanilla, not too ambery--though there is just enough to give it a creamy rather than a dry character. It last a long time, too.

For me the White Musk is lovely (a true, dry white musk) but it disappears from me in minutes; Oriental Musk in too buttery; Nude Musk--too much Vanilla. This one is just right for me.

Gorgeous musk - smells like a creamy iridescent pearl . It has staying power and quite beautiful. I love wearing this .EDIT: From 4 lippies to 5 lippies because it is addictive and unique.

Clearly, I am in the minority. I was placing my first order with Ava Luxe, and while evaluating which scents to purchase, I consulted reviews. Well, I decided to take a chance on this one basis the raving reviews. Ugh...Pearl Musk is a huge disappointment to me. I get nothing but musk with a "plastic" accord. Definitely not something I would re-purchase.

I've broken up a perfect run of "would repurchase," and I feel bad about that, but to me this is really nothing terribly special. Pearl Musk is a clean, pleasant skin musk that is light but long-lasting. It's nice, but not so great that I want to buy a bottle. I do however appreciate that this musk manages to be clean and light without being the least bit soapy. EDIT: I am a big fat lying liar. Of the dozen Ava Luxe samples I recently received, this is the one I now find myself reaching for the most. It's true, it IS "nothing special." However, it's the perfect "nothing special," multi-purpose, anti-perfume fragrance for those days where I simply don't feel like wearing anything else. I like all kinds of fragrances ranging from simple to complex, cheap to expensive, mass-market to niche, sophisticated florals, sporty citrus, amber-heavy Orientals, and even the occasional "juvenile" foody/fruity novelty fragrance. . .but there are those days when none of those seem appropriate or "right." Enter Pearl Musk. I can wear this fragrance to class, to work, out on a date, bumming around the apartment, out for coffee with friends, anywhere. It just smells nice. Clean, soft, feminine, subtle, and nice. Sometimes "nothing special" is absolutely perfect.

Sweet and ambery, with bright (white?) musk. This does have a sharp note (I first thought it must be a note of bergamot, but lily could also explain it) that lends a soapiness to the scent. I'm not a musk lover but this fragrance is very feminine and well done. There's definitely a full bottle of this in my near future.

This is the ultimate skin scent. It's a light sensual musk. Clean with mildy sweet undertones and also has a hint of fruitiness. Some musks can be too cloying for the office but this is perfect. It's light enough not to offend but pleasently noticeble once someone steps inside your personal space. I wished it lasted longer though.

This ranks second to my HG Nude Musk. (I purchased this unsniffed based on my success with NM and the reviews here.) That being said, it's very similar, but lacks the citrus. The sandalwood is very light and it has a lovely, realistic floral (I think Serena said Lily) note. The musk is more prominent in this, as opposed to Nude Musk, in which sandalwood dominates. That being said, this is a VERY light fragrance, yet undeniably superbly blended and beautiful, to boot. This is a lovely, fresh, floral, only vaguely soapy (as in clean) musk. I do wish is was stronger, as it is so pretty, but I guess that's what the parfum is for! I would rate this a 4.5, if I could. Kudos, Serena, for another winner!

Just sampling this today and I'm amazed at the similarity between this and Creative Scentualization's Perfect Veil. I'm serious....complete copycats of one another. And I was addicted to Perfect Veil 2-3 years ago, it's almost all I wore. So...save yourself some money and try Pearl Musk. I'm really enjoying this one and I think I will buy a full size. Smells like clean, sun-warmed skin. Delicious.

This sweet musk is hard not to like - it's soft, just a tad soapy, and does not turn to plastic the way many AL musks do (at least on my skin). I think hardcore musk fans would enjoy this. Everyone else should probably sample, because even though I like it, I don't think it's anything special.

Very pretty musk fragrance. To my nose it's mildly sweet, a bit soapy, and has just a hint of spice (nothing that'll singe your nose hairs). Clean and delicate. Considering purchasing a full-size.

This is a soft gentle musk that my skin chemistry does not turn into an anamalistic or over sweet mess. Very pretty (and probably a good interview scent, it's light and I can't imagine it offending anyone).

The sweetest musk I've experienced, this should be called Angel Face Intense.
I really liked it, but fans of animalic musk should look elsewhere. EDIT: Dropping it to a 4--after awhile (a long while, admittedly), it turns sour on me, like the musk in Love's True Bluish Light does in the heat.

i received 8 samples form ava luxe, i disliked all of them but this one. it really is a pearl. it smells soft and clean, but not too soapy. like clean skin. a very delicious suprise.
