IMPACT +, not 'Minerals' mascara:

Hmm. I just put this on for the first time today. Of the mascaras I've tried recently, I think this is actually the worst. I was fairly surprised to see that in comparison to others, it actually makes my lashes seem shorter. This is the IMPACT + mascara that is supposed to "lengthen, thicken, curl, & hydrate". My lashes are actually fairly long and full, just light, so this is a bit of a shock! I think the reason for this effect is that the mascara (with its wand) gives density to the lash close to the base of the lash, but the density does not extend the length of the lash. The lash tips end up getting the colour of the mascara but no thickening effect, and overall, I get a short lash look. The result is a mass of dense colour right around my eye, which makes my eyes look smaller, and gives a bit of raccoon effect. (And yes, it does smudge and smear with any tears or rain, and rubbing the eyes.) So, when I went back and wiggled the wand right at the tips of the lashes, I could get a heavier coat on the ends, but overall, the application then just ends up looking very heavy and unnatural. It does highlight the eyes in that way, but I prefer a 'great eyes *naturally*' look over this, though I got used to it over the day. I can say I will be experimenting with careful application strategies in the next few days, but odds are, this is going back. It came in a set, and I have concerns with other included products as well.

Other observations:
PROs:
Doesn't irritate.
Does dry, and is dry and clean to the touch when dry.
Simple wand/brush that makes application (if you like this effect) easy.
Lashes feel very light, even with gobs of product on the ends.
Can give you a successful thick, heavy application.
Holds a curl.
If you like a natural, non-waterproof, heavy mascara application look, you might actually be able to work with this.

CONs:
Smells a bit strange.
No waterproof or long wear option.
No brown option.
Can not (easily?) achieve a natural long lash look.
The lashes start clumping together as you add more mascara at the lash tips.
Smears with humidity, rubbing, rain, or tears.
It is hard to avoid getting bits of mascara on the skin around the eyes (the thicker liner than intended look :p) while applying with this wand. Wand goes 'through' the lashes to the skin easily while applying.
If you like a long, defined lash, but not intensively heavy look, it will be difficult to achieve with this.

This mascara is just okay for me. I need a really good non-smearing mascara and this one occasionally gives me a tinge of raccoon eyes. Like others here, I also experience the small clump of product on the wand every time I take it out of the tube.

My lids can get pretty oily, especially during the summer, so I've been looking for a mascara that doesn't smudge--this one doesn't smudge as fast, but if I really want it to stay on my lashes I have to put powder underneath my eyes.
The wand is decent, but the package is unattractively dull.

On the plus side, my lashes definitely looked naturally long. It didn't do much for volume...

IF YOU WANT:
- natural looking lashes
- mascara that isn't tested on animals
- non-clumping / lash defining mascara
- non-smudging / non-irritating mascara



Then this mascara is definitely for you. I found that it gave me exactly the right amount I needed and dried quickly. The packaging is also quite nice.



DON'T PURCHASE IF:
- you're looking for bold lashes
- you're wanting a lengthening mascara
- you want waterproof mascara



I have naturally straight lashes, so I curl my lashes before I apply mascara. Even so, they tend to straighten out again and takes me having to curl them right afterward to keep them curled.



I will purchase this mascara again.

I like the results of this mascara; my lashes look nice, full, long, and natural, and it doesn't smudge a lot like other mascaras I have tried. I would not recommend, however, because the package is AWFUL! At first I experienced huge globs, but those I could deal with. Then, a week into using this product, the mascara tube split down the side when I was screwing the lid shut. Then today, I noticed that part of the mascara wand seems to have broken as well. The screw piece has become stuck to the bottom part of the tube. Definitely will not get this mascara again.

This is actually for the Triple Impact Mascara.

I really really like this mascara, but I HATE the tube it comes in.
When you take the brush out, a big glob of mascara comes out of the tube with it and it gets everywhere around the opening which makes it hard to close and open the tube if it dries at all. There is also usually a glob on the end of the brush too which you would probably want to wipe off just in case you get it all over yourself.

Anyways, besides the awful tube, I really like what it does to my lashes. My eyelash curler broke recently and I haven't been able to get a new one. But this mascara curls them enough that I don't need it! I don't find it too lengthening but it does thicken a bit. It gives a very natural look. It doesn't flake, but you do need to be careful about smudging until it's dried.

I probably won't be buying this for myself(it was a gift) unless they change the tube even though it looks nice. I'm sure I can find something just as good that isn't so messy.

I gotta say that although this isn't the worse mascara ever, it by no means is the best either. It does look natural so I guess it would work if you want a natural look. However, there are other mascaras that give a natural look for less $. I won't be repurchasing because it didn't do anything special that some other mascaras couldn't have done and I prefer more dramatic lashes.

This seems to smear very easily on me--I wear contacts and work at a computer all day, so I guess I blink a lot. I probably won't buy it again.

Got this for free with a set I bought. As far as mascaras go, it's not the best one I've ever had but it is comparable. It goes on thick (which I like) but doesn't wash off easy with just soap. I don't use the mineral wash. I don't really have a problem with lash length or curl so this works just fine for me in that aspect. It does not irritate my eye area like other mascaras have. Not sure if I will buy again or not? It has lasted me a long time.

This is my favorite mascara along with marykay ultimate mascara. This mascara is non-irritating for me. I have sensitive eyes so this is very important for me. It goes on evenly and is pretty thin and buildable. I have super-straight asian lashes so no curling mascara ever works for me. When i curl my lashes though, the mascara holds it. It is also probably better than marykay since it is made of more natural ingredients rather than the many chemicals in marykay. There isn't too much in the tube, and it's a little pricey for my taste but I wouldn't mind repurchasing.

This has been my main mascara for about a year. I really do love how it adds volume & does NOT clump EVER. It also adds a LOT of length to my straight, medium-length lashes!!!!!!! The look is definitely natural, like these are your beautiful, effortless lashes as opposed to sticky, clumpy obviously-this-girl-uses-sh*t-mascara lashes. So yay!!! BUT... It does seem like it dries up kind of quick in the tube. Also, I find my lashes slowly losing curl and I find that the mascara flakes off somewhat when wearing all day long. Usually I will just throw another coat on & it's good to go!! Definitely an absolute MUST HAVE for me!!!!! BUT, stillll, the quest of the PERFECT mascara continues...

This mascara is not terrible, but I wouldn't buy it again. Actually, I would never have bought it. I got it in a set with the Pur Minerals foundation, and thought I would give it a try. I like how smoothly it applies (no clumping, soft lashes), but it smeared and didn't hold a curl. Not the mascara for me.

Got this as part of a pack and didn't have high expectations since I normally use waterproof mascaras (normal mascaras doesn't hold the curl for my lashes). It gives a very natural finish, doesn't add much volume or length but one good thing is it doesn't irritate (contact lens wearer). This would be suitable for sensitive eyes or someone who just wants a very natural day time look for their lashes.

This is the first Pur Minerals product I've tried, and I'm really impressed! I'd definitely buy this mascara again. Like other reviewers have noted, it goes on smoothy, no clumps, and is one of the few mascaras I've used that stays put all day with no smudging! Yet it comes off quite easily with eye makeup remover. I'd really recommend this if you're looking for a mascara that won't give you panda eyes.

I got this as a sample from Ulta and definitely will purchase it again. Out of all the mascaras I've tried, this one doesn't clump, goes on so smoothly, and gives lots of volume.

This mascara does a great job of lengthening, thickening and separating the lashes all at once. You can get the desired outcome with minimal effort.

There are a few other mascaras out there that I prefer the results from but this is definitely worth checking out. I would repurchase in the right kit/offer but not as a stand alone purchase.

Pur Minerals mascara is perfect for me. Not too heavy, goes on smooth and easy and leaves my lashes looking naturally longer, darker and thicker. It doesn't look like I am wearing coats of heavy mascara and that is why I love it. It stays on perfectly as well.

I only use this mascara and Too Face Lash Injection, all the others I have tried, and I have tried many, are too fibrous and fake. Yuck.

WOW! This product will blow your socks off. I received it as a free gift from Ulta with a Pur Minerals purchase. This product gives you length, strength, and very natural looking eyelashes. Never clumps, and stays on until I take it off. You must try it!

I tried this for three days. Each afternoon this gave me major racoon eyes. I really wanted to like this because I am trying to use more natural products. Everything smears on me except Bobbi Brown no smudge mascara.
