LOVE this pencil, it has definitely become a staple of mine and is already halfway used which says a LOT for me. One side of this rather chubby pencil is matte black and the other is a shimmery/glittery warm gold. I usually line my eyes all over with the black and then use the gold side to smudge. I don't use the gold on it's own as it's too glittery for me and doesn't really show up against enough on my olive skin anyway, I think it is meant to be used in conjunction with the black.

Love mostly all of the Becca products I have purchased, mostly the LSC, Loose Powder and Creme Blushes.
This eye pencil that came with the Hypnotise gift set is awful.
Would never buy one of these pencils separately.
The bronzey color on me was practically a no show and what little color I could get from the pencil didn't last an hour.
That was my only gripe about the gift set.

i tried this on at neiman marcus. i loved the way the bronze showed up on my hand--a billion different kinds of sparkle--but then when i tried it on my eyes...i should've just done it myself because he tightlined with the glittery bronze side--and that's GLITTER, not just shimmer--even after he noted that i was wearing contacts! so then my eyes started hurting as soon as i left the store, and i hated the way he did my eyes anyways.. i'd like to try this again (but do it myself) and see if it doesn't work better. i want to like it!

I love this pencil. It creates a very easy messy or smokey eye. The black the the bronze shimmer work very well together. I like using the bronze shimmer as shadow and running it over the liner. This is not a fine point liner, it's a chubby pencil made to be smudged. My eyes look so pretty when I wear it and I love using Jewel dusts with it for a sophisticated look. Not a great choice for tightlining but excellent as a liner and shadow. One of my favorite Becca products and I hope more colors come out. I didn't have the same wearing problem as the posted below. I used this every hot humid day in Mexico w/o insident. It lasted day to night and I only reapplied at night because I would change between this one and Mustique. I used Becca stick foundation as an eye base, maybe that helped. You really need to try this pencil and it is currently in a NM 2006 holiday set that is an excellent deal (the white bag one for 85 usd).

This is great for its triple purposes (shadow/highlighter/liner) in one pencil. However, it has zero staying power. I have normal skin and usually don't have problems with eye products staying on. The SA suggested applying a shadow base or concealer first, which I did (Nars stick concealer). Two hours after applying and in normal conditions (in an office, no humidity), the bronzey-gold color is creased and almost entirely gone (all that's left is glitter), and the black liner is smeared. It would probably work better if you used the lighter color as a highlighter only. I applied powder over this, and still no help. The black liner would be fine alone if you used a sealant or like smudged look. This is going back to the store.
