I enjoyed it actually. Did its job, didn't sting my eyes as much as other cleansers sometimes do.

Pros - effectively removed makeup, pleasant smell

Cons - left my skin feeling tight and uncomfortable, stung while rubbing into my skin, made me break out the next day.

Bottom line - probably better for dry skin, it's good at removing makeup but it's just not the product for me.

I purchased this on sale last winter for my sometimes dry winter skin. I'm using it again this winter since I have half a bottle left. It does moisturize well thanks to the petroleum in it. :( I will not purchase again because it feels like I'm putting lotion on my face (Yuck) I prefer a foaming cleanser so I will alternate with one every other day so I can get that squeaky clean feel I like. I am also using the Hydrate and Cleanse scrub every other day to exfoliate.

I liked this at first but after the first couple of weeks, that ended. It was moisturizing and removed my makeup fairly well. Waterproof eye make-up excepted but thats to be expected. I started noticing an film of some kind on my hands after washing my face - and if its on my hands, what about my face? It was kind of like vaseline which made sense after I saw petrolatum on the ingredient list.

If you like the squeaking clean feeling after you wash your face, this is not the product for you. It has a fruity smell which I liked but could be irritating if you've got sensitive skin. It doesn't lather that well but that didn't bother me since it was so creamy. I also like the squeeze tube w/ flip cap - made it very easy to dispense

I got a bottle of this in a dual pack with a different Olay cleanser. I bought it mainly for the other cleanser but the price was so good for both I couldn't turn it down. So far I've only used this a few times but I really like it. I don't use any makup so I'm not sure how it is at removing it but for just a facial cleanser it works well.

The first time I tried it I used it in the shower before bed. I was too tired to moisturize so I just fell into bed, figuring I'd do it in the morning. But when I woke up my skin was still really soft and not dry at all. Even towards the end of my day I noticed it was still really fresh and glowy looking. I've never had that happen with a cleanser. When I noticed it I actually did a double-take in the mirror like, "Is my skin glowing? Huh." I've continued to use it the same way (no moisturizer) each consecutive time I've used it and have had good results.

My skin is a little wonky in that it seems normal in most patches but around my nose and a few other small areas I have really bad drying. I don't seem to have that with this cleanser, even though I don't use a moisturizer. It does seem a little light on deep cleaning power so I use it every other day, alternating with a more hard-core cleanser to make sure I'm really getting in there and cleaning. But I will definitely purchase again, even if I don't get it in a dual pack.

I don't care much for this product. The reason it's so moisturizing is b/c the second ingredient is petroleum; nothing fancy. Actually, my face doesn't even feel clean afterwards. I saw that one user put it straight on the face without water. I will try that. I used it with water, and got foundation all over my wash cloth when I dried my face. Meh.

I prefer cream cleansers and I want something that will take care of removing make-up (including mascara), will not foam, does not require wetting your face first, will not leave your skin feeling dry or tight. Wow, does this fill the bill!! It makes nighttime clean-up fast and easy and I suppose if I got really lazy, I would not even need to moisturize after because my skin feels very soft and yes, hydrated afterward. This is really a lovely product, so glad I stumbled onto it (at Publix of all places)!!

This is a really nice cream cleanser. Removes face makeup well, but I use a separate eye mu remover. Lightly scented. Leaves the skin very, very soft. I actually use this one in the morning more than at night, when my face doesn't need a heavy duty cleaning. Very nice stuff, definitely worth a try for anyone who isn't oily-skinned, I imagine.

Just picked this up at a drugstore since it was marked 50% off and with a coupon I got it for $3.00. Nice addition to using my Olay Daily Facials on days when I am not wearing any make-up. Though the bottle says it removes make-up, I don't know that this cleanser will be that effective on stubborn eye make-up - but it would probably work fine on foundation/blush removal. Very creamy, nice lather (but not too foamy) and it makes my skin feel incredibly soft for a long time afterwards.

I love this facial cleanser. I don't typically use it at night, but rather during the day in the shower. It has a nice rich lather (and it smells heavenly!) that leaves my skin feeling soft and refreshed. I'm on my second bottle, this is a GREAT cleanser!

This is a lovely cleanser. It has a similar effect on my skin as cetaphil cleanser. It doesn't really lather, but still cleans off my make up and leaves my skin smooth, moisturized, and velvety. I like the ackaging with the light teal inverted squeeze bottle and the price wasn't out of hand. I'be been using it for several months and i'm still quite pleased with the product.

My skin is usually very dry and rather sensitive. I never really break out. This keeps my skin feelin dewy and smooth without it being shiny or greasy.

I don't know what is going on with my skin, but it has been exceptionally dry all summer long! I find this odd, as my skin is normally oily in the summer. For nearly 3 months, I have been on a mission to find products that will rehydrate and protect my newly super-dry-and-senstive skin. I even tried cleansing and moisturizing with olive oil, which actually made the dryness worse.

Then I happened upon the Olay Hydrate and Cleanse Night Nourishing Cream Cleanser. I have been using this for about 2 weeks, and it is AWESOME! I got this as a BOGOF which included the Olay Hydrate and Cleanse Microbead Cleansing Serum (which is also great), I use the Night Nourishing Cream at night (what a novel idea, huh?) and the Cleansing Serum during the day. I love the packaging, as it is an inverted squeeze bottle. This way everything drips down to the spout...I like that.

My only complaint with this is that it does not remove makeup very well without using a washcloth. I have to use a microfiber face cloth to remove the makeup, but once I do that, it does a fantastic job.

This has gotten rid of my dry skin patches, itchy redness and the occasional zit. I would advise against using this unless you definitely are a dry, sensitive type, however.

Very good product; definite rebuy!

***UPDATE***
This is even more fantastic than I reviewed it to be before. I haven't had one zit, one dry patch...my skin is beautiful and glowing. Makeup looks so smooth on me now, but honestly, my skin looks so great I don't even need the makeup. I could not be more pleased, and I am adding another lippie. I have no need to look for another cleanser.

Let me start by saying I have the worst skin! I have been on accutane and when the effects wore off and i started breaking out again, my derm perscribed Retin-A, Duac gel and a glycolic cleanser! I kept on breaking out. Last week I went on vacation and had the dryest skin ever (really peeling), so I stopped at the drugstore and picked this up along with Eucerin petroleum jelly. I washed with this stuff night (and day) and have not had one zit at all. I actually stopped using all acne products whatsoever. So, basically this is moisturizing, removes makeup, and leaves my skin feeling super soft. I have only been using it for about a week and half, so a lot can happen, but I will update. So far, this has been a life changer.

For the first week or so I kind of liked this product even though I didn't notice a huge difference in the dryness of my skin. Still, my skin did feel pretty smooth and soft after using it and in the morning as well. I only used it at night and used a different cleanser during the day. Then after about a week of use I started breaking out with huge pimples, which I normally don't do. Once I stopped using the cleanser, my skin cleared right up. I really wanted to like this product, but it's not worth the zits!

This is actually a review for Hydrate and Cleanse Vitamin enriched lathering cleanser. This foams and lathers very nicley but I don't like the fragrance. I also think it is making me breakout, maybe because this contans mineral oil.

I tried this to stave off my lust for Murad Moisturizing Cream Cleanser (because of the price tag) but i have been feeling tight skin after i wash lately, now that it is almost December in NYC. Anyway, I tried this last night, and i have to say it is very good for a drugstore cleanser. It feels like cream going on, smells sort of like Pantene, and certainly doesn't dry you out at all. It felt like it got my skin clean, but i wasn't wearing makeup so i will have to update later.

I think that I may like this more than the Hydrate and Cleanse Serum Cleanser. This for some reason feels more moisturizing and creamy. It also lacks those microbeads that the other has. The ingredients of the two seem to be very similar. I love this!!!

I bought this to replace my beloved EA Ceramide Purifying Cream Cleanser, which price has gone up to $26 for a 4 oz. tube. The EA was a thick cream that took off my sunscreen and/or makeup, leaving no irritation whatsoever on my atopic, rosaceous skin.

The Olay is thinner in texture and, unlike the EA, has the new Olay fruity fragrance (which I detest). Although the directions say to wet hands and face before application, I apply the cream to a dry face. It has done a fair to good job of removing my zinc-oxide-based sunscreens as well as Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation. Although I generally dual cleanse (following up with either Cerave or LRP Toleriane), the Olay leaves my skin as soft as a baby's bottom. Despite some comedogenic ingredients, I have suffered no breakouts with my use. This cream is water-rinseable.

I think the price is around $8.69 retail; I picked mine up on sale for $6.99 and used a $1.00 coupon. Considering the difference in cost, unless I develop a negative reaction to the Olay, I'll continue to use this.

Ingredients: Water, isopropryl palmitate, petrolatum, glycerin, mineral oil, cetyl betaine, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, decyl glucoside, distearyldimonium chloride, sodium lauryl sulfate, tocopheryl acetate, steareth-21, steareth-2, fragrance, disodium edta, citric acid, methychloroisothiazolione, methylisothiazolinone.

I bought it because I was happy with the Hydrate and Cleanse microbead cleansing serum. It feels more like lotion to me than cream. Cleanses well, doesn't foam (yay!). Again, does what it says, it did hydrate my skin a little too. I find it highly comparable to department-store brands' cleansing lotion. One lippie off because of the bulky squeeze-out bottle, should've came in the same pump bottle as the microbead cleansing serum.Update 11/22/06: This is still a good product, but I think Neutrogena's Extra Gentle Cleanser is even better.
