I absolutely adore this fragrance! I bought it upon a recommendation of a friend who used to sell fragrances and I have not been disappointed. It's a very well-rounded scent - bright yet mellow (if that makes sense at all). I could see wearing it at work or out on a date - it's multi-faceted enough to do that. I also find this to be a really sophisticated scent, yet clean enough for a younger person (I'm 27... not extremely young, but not ready for "old lady perfumes" either). Also, my husband absolutely adores this scent, which means something since he never notices anything.

Amazing perfume! I have to admit, it took me a while to warm up to it, and I don't even know why I bought it... That being said I'm so glad I did! The One is sensual, spicy, and sweet all in one bottle. I can smell the vanilla mostly on me, and don't get too much floral. The spicy aspect of it is what initially turned me off to it, but it dries down lovely and is actually very sexy! However, i can see how some people would consider this a fall/winter smell. I have been using viva la juicy and Michael kors gold before I found this, and they both seem quite simple and immature compared the The One. Not to mention, this has the best staying power of any perfume I have ever owned! Definitely a keeper :)

This is a sexy ans sultry scent. There are woody, musk and floral components to this scent that marry nicely without any cancelling or overpowering the other notes.

The bottle is heavy, simply, luxurious and sophistcated. The scent is heavy one so this may not be for everyone. I love this for date nights.

I really love this perfume! It is very sophisticated and classy but also seductive, like the bottle. It's hard to describe, but I think you can just compare it to the bottle. It smells golden, if that makes sense. Like vanilla and spices and warm florals, but it also sparkles and isn't heavy. Sadly it's as expensive as it looks and smells, but it's worth it. I think perfumes on general are getting so expensive. The new desire version is $80 for one ounce, which I think is ridiculous. I remember when 1 ounce perfumes only cost around $40 or $50 and I'm only 18! But yeah, besides that little rant, it's not like my other favorite perfumes are cheaper so I'll buy this one anyways. It really is beautiful! It's just so elegant, I wouldn't wear this as an everyday scent but when I'm going out, I also think this works for almost all ages. I'm probably just barely old enough though (I really couldn't see this on a young teen) but otherwise it could really work on anyone.

I love this perfume. I received a sample of this perfume from Sephora. I loved it so much, that I went back & bought a bottle! The scent is not too sweet, & very warm. I can see why people may like this better as a winter scent. I can see myself using this all year round. Not every fragrance smells the same on everyone. This perfume just happens to work well with my body chemistry. It is a very strong scent, so 1-2 sprays is all you really need with this. I also love the name of this perfume, because I believe this is "the one" for me. I love the bottle....BUT this perfume is ridiculously expensive. For the full size, it's $103. I believe for how expensive this perfume is, it should come with more perfume. That is really the only true "con" I can think of. Other than that, I would recommend you try a sample of this out first before you buy it since IT IS so expensive.

I have been using this perfume since 10 year ago, and even that i tend to use it more on winther times /evenings, i keep always replacing the old bottle when finished. It is quite intense, therefore i do not recommend it for summer time.

I sprayed from a tester at Macy's and it smelled nice on me. Since Macy's only have the big bottles for gazillion dollars, I went to the sephora in the JC penney and got the rollerball version of this. Well, the next day, I dabbed this on and it smelled MUSTY on me, I didn't get any florals or vanilla, just a "mothball" smell. Either the rollerball is bad, or my skin chemistry, or the tester, this is going back to Sephora.

This a lovely perfume, it's warm and floral. Most perfumes that I try with those characteristics I struggle to pull off; they're often too heavy, mature and give me headaches. In my opinion, it smells a lot like how I remember Chanel Allure. I think they share jasmine in common, I'm not sure what else there is though (to be honest, I haven't really checked). It's not quite as intense in the florals as Allure, so I feel comfortable wearing it both day and night, unlike Allure which I saved for cold, wintery evenings. It's summer here in Australia, and I think it works in the warm weather when applied sparingly. My boyfriend never really notices what perfume I wear, but he's said a few times that he really likes it, which is good since I've been wearing it nearly everyday for weeks!

At first I wasnt sure about this, I had purchased viva la juicy a few years back, and it was just too sweet on me. This fragrance did surprise me. It to me was a more mature version of viva la juicy, with more staying power. I can spritz this on my wrist and it stays through most of my 9 hr work day. Only thing I would change is maybe add a little more spiciness to it...if I wear more than one spray it gives me headaches.

ive purchased this perfume twice and i've bought the biggest size i could each time. i've never purchased this perfume in store only on ebay so im not sure of the normal retail value. but the scent is amazing, i always get compliments when i wear this. its not overpowering and makes you smell like a grandma. the bottle is also very classy aswell. this is my daily perfume all year round

This is a definitely NO for me, as it's way too powerful, it almost causes me headaches, sometimes I really can't stand it. It's all amber vanilla and jasmine, which are too heavy for me. not buying it again.

A very interesting feminine scent, unlike all the rest and certainly not unpleasant. I am reminded of JS's Fancy Love, as a more mature version. I don't think I'd purchase for myself, but it's not bad at all.

This is my fall and winter scent. I am horrible at describing scents so I'm not even going to try. I would say it's warm lol, that's all I got. My boyfriend is obsessed with the smell and loves when I wear it, and I have gotten a lot of compliments (from guys, it must be a guy thing). Fragrances smell different on each person, so I would say test it before buying it. I give three squirts on my neck area and it lasts all day without being too strong, and I do get compliments on it. This is the only fragrance I've ever been obsessed with and would consider a staple that I could stick with for years as a "signature" scent.

I get weak in the knees for amber vanilla and jasmine and this fragrance has them all. The One is a warm pretty scent that is spicy enough for a night out yet calm enough for day. The dry down is more floral on me wheras the base notes of amber, musk, vanilla and vetiver plum hit me at the initial spritz. I feel this is a perfect winter scent for those that enjoy spicy florals.

I had first tried this fragrance during summertime and I hated it. It was overly sweet and too warm. I was cleaning out my fragrance vanity and samples and tried this again from a sample I had forgotten about. I love it so much I went out and bought a bottle! This fragrance for me is perfection during fall and winter months. Now that the weather is cooler and air crisper this fragrance's sweetness and warmth works perfectly with my chemistry. This is a sweet floral oriental and the description fits perfectly. It starts out fruity then I can smell some light florals which keep the fruit notes fresh not overly ripe or syrupy. Finally the drydown is still clean but the vanilla is beautiful and keeps the fragrance warm all along. I'm so happy that I tried this one again! The bottle is gorgeous as well. It is heavy, so I just keep it in my vanity and then use an atomizer for my purse.

This is Hanae Mori on steroids: bold fruity floral vanilla. It reminds me of fruity baby powder or roses and vanilla (though rose is not a note). Every time I move, I get a whiff of this sweet soft fragrance that tells me to sit with my back straight and to smile at all the right times. I feel pretty with it on, especially since it can go from work to play. However, a refresher spritz may be in order; the EDP lasts only six hours, not the ten or tweleve hours I have come to expect with Dior or Mugler. That is okay, since it smells so delightful. Why would you mind reapplying? Once my sample is done, my next stop is Sephora online. Notes: litchi, mandarin orange, peach, bergamot, lily, plum, jasmine, lily of the valley, musk, amber, vanilla, vetiver.
