This is the only product I use that is truely HG status. Deep moisturizer without feeling greasy. Every hand lotion I have used in the past that is supposedly for extremely dry hands feels like I am rubbing crisco on and it drives me nuts. I end up wiping my hands on a towel. I put this on every night before bed. I'm on my 10th bottle at least. I went looking for some more yesterday at Walgreens and they didn't have it. Hope it is not discontinued.

I like the feel of this product but not the scent, which seems to linger on my hands after application. I also notice that Sally Hansen 18 Hour Lip Treatments have this same smell, and this unpleasant scent heavily contributes to my no rebuy decision.
18 Hour Protective Hand Cream does leave a nice velvety feel on my hands. I keep my tube at work and apply it in the mornings before my hands take a beating. After working the cream into my skin, nails and cuticles, I don't have a lot of greasy residue but I do find I need to have a Kleenex handy before typing or writing. I notice my skin isn't dry and in need of another immediate application after handwashing, but the residual "protection" certainly doesn't stand up to repeated washings throughout an 18 hour day.

The thing I love the most about this product is the citrusy scent. It's wonderful, it reminds me of the orange sherbet lollies that I would eat as a kid. I think it should be thicker and hand-creamier, though. Just this morning, I spilt a shitload of my mineral foundation all over my desk and it got all over my hands. When I got the crap off, my hands and cuticles were sooo dry! So I put some of this on, and it worked for about an hour. It doesn't feel rich enough to work for 18 hours, therefore I have no idea how they decided upon the product name. I would love this as an all-over body moisturiser, but I only have the small 28.3g tube and that is about enough for 2-3 all-over body applications lol.

Not as good as the Anti-Aging hand cream with retinol. Doesn't give much moisture throughout the day when compared to that product. Won't buy again.

I love this hand cream. It soaks in perfectly and makes my hands super soft! Some people might not like the citrus scent but I love it! I buy this all the time.

It soaked in pretty fast without making my hands greasy which is a huge plus for a hand cream BUT I gave this to my mom now just because I couldn't stand the overpowering citrus scent.

Sally Hansen 18 Hour Protective Hand Cream is just alright. My hands are quite dry (especially my cuticles), so I need something quite moisturising. Unfortunately this isn't it. The name is also misleading - definitely won't moisturise for 18 hours! It leaves a sort of waxy film residue which isn't all that pleasant. But after a while, it goes away and sure, skins' soft, but nothing out of the ordinary. I much prefer plain Extra Virgin Olive Oil and smoothing that over my hands and cuticles.
This hand cream has a citrus scent - not my favourite - and it stays on your skin for a while, so make sure you like the scent first before purchasing.

This is ok. It feels pretty good when you first apply it. The effect seems to fade a little though, leaving hands feeling soft but not really moist. The scent is really yummy, but starts to make me a little nauseous after a while (it's really strong). Pretty good moisturizer, but I think I prefer Sally Hansen's Miracle Cure for Hands better.

This is THE BEST hand cream I've ever used! I have extremely dry hands and even drier feet. In the winter or when there's very little humidity in the air, my feet are so dry, that it cracks and bleeds ewww haa i know, it's even more disgusting for me having to deal with it. Anyways, this does a fantastic job at preventing any dry cracked skin and keeps my skin soft, smooth, and keeps my skin like that for houurrrsss. So this cream really lasts, very heavy duty. I enjoy the zesty citrus scent as well, very soothing, doesn't smell like those nasty fake fruity stuff. Will buy over and over again!

Gross smell. Works well though. You have to take a good minute or more to really work it into the skin. Very thick cream. A little bit does the trick so it really lasts. Won't repurchase again though because it was $7 or so and I could probaby get the same results from cocoa powder or vaseline.

Awesome, comes in a relatively large orange squeeze container, smells like creamsicles, and does a great softening protecting job. I like this considerably better than the Nails and Cuticle cream because it absorbs faster and leaves my hands softer.

Am surprised it is so cheap in the US! It costs twice in my country - Singapore. Anyways I was suffering from dry tight hands from eating acne medications, and within the second day my hands felt so much better. Its also good that it absorbs in so well. I have not tried high end handcreams, the most expensive was Loccitance shea butter in a tub form, and EA 8 hour cream. And this product, beats them hands down.

Sally Hansen's products are slowly making their debut in Germany, and small 1oz bottles of this hand cream are being sold as a "try me" product for 3 euros a pop, which is very expensive for such a small amount (about 4 dollars). The hand cream is surprisingly good - greases out my hands for the few minutes following application, after which it sinks in and leaves my hands soft and silky. Unlike other reviewers, I didn't get staying power with this cream since my hands are all year-round extremely dry, and I have to apply often. Reviewers here have mentioned that they have not felt a need to re-apply after washing their hands, something I wish I could agree with, but unfortunately I had to re-apply immediately after washing since my hands felt immediately dry and uncomfortable. I'm going to need something stronger than this for the upcoming winter months such as a hand concentrate as opposed to a cream, but this seems like something nice to have around the house or in my handbag. I love the fact that it smells like Orange Julius, which American MUAers should be very familiar with :)

Wow this smells like orange tic tacs! So yummy! I prefer this to L'occitane's shea butter hand cream because it moisturizes and smells better. Not greasy either. Got a big tube for $5 at Ulta. Excellent buy!

My review would be an exact repeat of joiedevivre29's review below. I have used Crabtree & Evelyn, L'Occittane and many more but must say this is the best among those I have tried. I'm always applying handcream throughout the day, especially when I am at my office table, definitely every time after I've run my hands through water.... but with this, I've applied this morning before I left home for office and till now (late afternoon), after having washed my hands a couple of times, I have yet to feel the need to put some cream to moisturise my hands!!! Now my HG as I have just run out to pick up a 2nd tube - one for home and one for office.

very very nice. a great hand cream, that sinks in like a dream and really stays on! this is the first time i have experienced a lotion that didnt turn slimy and slide off after washing my hands. amazing! delightful fizzy orange-crush scent that fades within the first few minutes after application. really seems to be improving my hands too. best part is, i only need a bit to do both hands nicely. would definitely repurchase. this is worth every cent. go sally hansen!

After reading reviews on here I decided to give this a go and am very pleased I did.
I purchased a couple of trial sized tubes off ebay and will definiately search out the larger sized container when I repurchase.
As another poster mentioned, a pea sized amount is adequate for both hands and sinks in well. Initially I thought it was no better than my regular L'Occitane hand cream, but a couple of hours later I was surprised to find my hands still felt very soft and smooth and I didn't feel it necessary to keep reapplying after washing my hands like I do with some other products.
It does seem to leave a slight protective barrier which I prefer as I have to have my hands in water a lot. The packaging is adequate and I'd rather have a good cream than a fancy box or jar anyway. Good product, worth purchasing.

This is an excellent drugstore hand cream w/ skin happy extras such as, Shea butter, Vitamins A, E, C and Grape seed oil. It has a fresh citrus scent that is quite strong at first, then dissapates within just a few minutes. It felt a bit greasy the first few minutes, then the cream melded with my skin, leaving nothing but softness. If you use too much, or too often, it will leave you greasy. I made this mistake the first time I used it...I put GOBS on *lol* One pea-sized dollop moisturizes both hands nicely! I think it speaks well for this creme that you can easily over-moisturize if you repeat application too often. It literally lasts through several washings for me. I have slightly sensitive, dry skin, so those with normal/oily/combo skin may find this "sits" on your skin too much.
Extended use (2 x daily for two weeks) proved to soften my cuticles and smooth my hands noticeably! Success! =) I pay less than two dollars for a 3.5 oz tube at Krogers grocery store and I am now on my 4th tube. I've also seen it at various pharmacies such as CVS, Walgreens and Eckerds for less than $3.00. Look for an orange tube with white lettering.
I am a bit of a hand cream collector, so I can never promise to be faithful. However, considering the value and the fact that this product is fantastic, guarantees it's place in my hand creme family. So yes, I would and shall buy this product again.
