This is the only product I use from the Controle range; for everything else, I am using the Carita Progressif line. I had such high hopes for this toner; with the powder and everything. I still think the idea behind this toner is pretty good; however, sometimes the effect is not desirable at all. This toner may be a bit harsh sometimes - with me, it stings badly and I get red blotches on my face 40% of the time, especially when I cleanse my face really well. I've often had to wash this off and apply something soothing afterwards for relief - although I don't have particularly sensitive skin. I also have not experienced superb mattifying effects. I still think this is not a bad product; given the other reviews, may be worth giving it a try.

This toner looks very much like the La Prairie oil control toner (that whole line is in green packaging...it's also been discontinued). The good news is that it's not sticky like LP. The Ideal Controle pearl mouse cleanser this toner and the cream are a wonderful combo for oily skin. It's so nice to have products that don't strip my face and make it feel tight. A little goes a long way, so it's not as expensive as you'd anticipate when you see the prices (particularly true for the cream). I'm very pleased with the whole Carita line. :>)

This is a really fresh toner in the Ideal Controle range. It works on some infected blemishes, I noticed and that is very good. Sometimes it can be a little irritating and harsh to your skin, but that's ok. I still love the flowery smell, that all the Ideal Controle products have.
