i bought the pink one for the breast cancer support and this has definitely been one of the best choices i've made. this color is GORGEOUS, a nice subtle pink, not too bright but not too browny boring. it looks like pink water on my lips. it looks like a gloss but it feels like butter on my lips.

now that i have an actual basis for comparison (recently started wearing lipstick) I have to say... this is absolutely divine. Moisturizing, sheer, and creamy smooth, it's just glossy enough to make my lips look soft and plush, and applies just enough color to make them look flushed and naturally fresh and pink. The glitter in it is a little on the grainy side, but the particles are small so it's not too much of a bother. If i'd known at the time that this was a limited edition piece, I would have DEFINITELY purchased another tube. sigh... one can dream, can't she?

My first buttershine (and lipstick purchase in about 3 years) and it's total love! This BCA 2006 LE lipstick comes in a metallic pink bamboo casing. A medium rosey pink that I think will work on many skintones. The texture of the lippie is so soft and smooth and is well pigmented. Looks quite glossy on the lips.
I will definately get more buttershines, I already have a few shades in my to-buy list!

I like the metallic pink bamboo-look case of Clinique's Colour Surge Butter Shine Lipstick in In the Pink. I also like the inside design of the case; it leaves no room between the wide, slanted-tip bullet and the interior wall which means that the bullet won't wobble inside and get all furrowed or break off (Revlon needs that type of case for their Moisturous Lipcolor). Colour Surge's silky gel formula is non-staining, allergy tested and 100% fragrance free. It is also lightweight, luxurious feeling and very comfortable to wear. It feels better than a gloss (not gooey or thick or like a coat of lacquer) and better than a lipstick (not waxy or drying or occlusive). It's like the best of both and it melts on your lips like butter on toast. I wear it alone; it's beautiful all by itself. And I feel very confident applying it without a mirror. The depth of color depends on how lightly or heavily I apply it. Dabbed on LIGHTLY, the shade is a sheer lustrous MLBB (I have blue eyes, blond hair, pale pink lips and a medium complexion). Reapplication is needed, but easy, pleasant and moisturizing. All in all, this is a great modern lipstick I wouldn't hesitate to repurchase.

I find Buttershines to have the nicest texture of any other lipstick I've tried. I won't even go near my previous favorite anymore, MAC Lustres. They go on silky and sheer, and have a pretty glossiness to it. In The Pink applies on my light lips as a medium coolish pink with a hint of cherry red and subtle shimmer. It gives my lips a juicy flushed color, and is very sheer. The limited edition pink tube is really cute too.

The 2006 breast cancer awareness buttershine is soft and smooth (like all buttershines) and though it looks really fuschia-y in the tube, it's a nice soft pink that is actually wearable on my fairly pigmented lips. It's a nice soft look and one that not many l/s have ever given me. It's probably not HG, but I really enjoy the color and I think that it's a great cause ($10 of $14 goes to BCA research).

Excellent lipstick that helps support a great cause. In the Pink is a rosy-pink shade - bright - but not at all garish. Very sheer and shiny with some shimmer.

Created especially for Clinique's 2006 Breast Cancer Awareness promotion. $10.00 from the sale of each lipstick goes to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. "In The Pink" is a beautiful, sheer rosy-pink color with shimmer so tiny and fine that it just looks like a luminous gloss. So pretty! I am light PPP and on me "In The Pink" looks about 50 % sheer rose and 50 % sheer pink. Perfect balance. Looks like My-Lips-But-Better. I think this color would look good on everyone. It is rosy enough to look like MLBB on light/medium skincolor women, and yet it is pink enough to brighten and add a veil of sheer pink color on darker skincolor women. Seems like a universal color, which is probably why Clinique chose it for the promotion. It's Limited Edition, so if you want to try it you should do it sooner rather than later. 5 lippies! :)

What a great cause and I really like this shade. It is a true pink (I didn't pick up on any glitters like the other reviewers mention, maybe because I've been wearing high glitter glosses lately and this one doesn't look like them at all). It comes in a cool metallic pink tube. The color goes on sheer and the formulation is not sticky. It thinly coats my lips which makes them feel smooth and moisterized with it on-so much so that I keep running my tongue over my lips. It looks brighter in the tube than on my lips which I like. It's $14 a tube but $10 goes to BCA so I felt good about purchasing. I think this is great color when you just want to be wearing a true pink, that's not shocking, on your lips.

Too bad this is LE! I love the Butter Shine l/s & this is one of their best shades yet - sheer rosy pink with a subtle shimmer, very flattering & something that would look good on anyone. Of course it has that glossy, creamy finish too. The tube is the same bamboo shape but in bright pink - cute and appropriate for drawing attention to a good cause.

Omigosh this is sooooo gorgeous. Its a sheer Rosey red with micro glitter. Goes on like a gloss. The case is a metallic rose. Soo gorgeous and unique. Definitely great that it goes to a good cause too :D
I think its LE so run dont walk to go get yours before they're sold out !
