This review is for the Aquasource Gel. I bought this because all of the moisturisers that used to work for me have stopped working, and after I had a very brief, negative encounter with L'Occitane Immortelle.
I was looking for something light and refreshing for the summer.
This gel comes in a tube and is a combination of gel and cream. It goes on smoothly and sinks right in. It's also slightly cooling. In terms of moisture, I believe it provides just the right amount. I have combination skin (leaning towards oily in the summer months) which is acne-prone, and my main concerns are always whether the moisturiser would leave my face looking like and oil disaster waiting to happen or, worse still, whether it would break me out so badly, I'd have to nurse my skin back to health for the next six months. Well, I'm happy to report that this moisturiser has not broken me out so far.
I was eager to see whether this moisturiser would stand the test of time in (currently) hot and humid London (only for a day, mind you), coupled with an air-conditioned office. My face stayed pretty matte, in fact I finally achieved that coveted dewy
complexion (I mean truly dewy, and not the wannabe-dewy that is actually oily).
The price is quite steep (£19.50 for a 30 ml tube), but a little goes a long way. I'm not sure this will be enough during the cold winter months - I'll cross that bridge when I get there and use that opportunity to buy a new moisturiser ;-). But for the summer, this serves me well, and will repurchase next summer :-P.

I am finding this works well under Neutrogena oil-free moisturiser for daytime. I have had a few tiny breakouts on my nose which is where I concentrate mainly on putting it (due to dryness in that area). My dryness has definately improved though. It is quite expensive for the amount in the bottle and after only a week I have used quite a bit. I imagine over time you wouldn't need to use as much/as frequently. Probably wouldn't buy again, only because I'd like to try a different serum/booster.

The scent was too strong for a facial moisturizer and it burned my face I ended up with big red blotches everywhere. I did like the consistency though and the bottle was cute, the scent would be great for another product since I did like it just not on my acne prone oily face.

I really loved this moisturizer, for at least a whole 6 months. Then it started doing nothing for my skin, so I moved on to something new. Its performance dropped and I realized I needed something really moisturizer and usable for my skin. This was my HG product until it just stopped doing what it ahd been doing to my skin for 6 months.

I absolutely love this as a summer moisturizer - its light and fresh and its just perfect under makeup or anything. Definitely a new must have in my cosmetics list.

This gel moisterizer felt great on my hand at the store, but then I used it on my face and noticed immediately a slight tightness to my face. I looked at the ingredients and the 2nd main ingredient is "alcohol" which we know is "bad" for skin. I love gel formulas and I'm glad I did try it or I always would have wondered about it. I am difinetely returning this. The only thing I like about it is the glass container it comes in, the nice scent and consistency of gel. However, it is lacking in giving serious moisterization to the face.

This was a nice super light moisturizer. Has a faint pleasant smell, and nice light texture. I used it in the fall when my skin was transitioning from combo/normal to combo/dry and it just wasnt enough moisture. I presume this would be excellent during the summer. @ 31.50 not bad but the packaging while very nice, looks extremely fragile i wouldnt travel with it. No spf either.

Sorry about this rant, but the fragrance in this stuff irritated my sensitive, acne-prone, comb.to oily(dehydrated cheeks) skin. The sales lady at the counter pursuded me, and made me had high expectation for this stuff. Overall, I had bad luck with all biotherm stuff. If you have sensitive skin, Biosensitive might be your only choise, but young girls with non-sensitive skin should really give Biotherm a try.

My friend reccomended this product, instead of the overpriced Clarins Multi-Active Day Gel. I tried it and I'm not too fond of it. I don't really like the smell or the texture. I find that it sort of makes my face feel weird after, I like to feel relieved when I put cream on my face, where this makes my face feel tight. The smell is a different story. I find it smells like the toner and gel rinse, but I don't feel as if the moisturizer should have the same scent. I would prefer to by Clarins, since its such a perfect product (other than the price).

having super-oily and sensitive acne-prone skin, i'm inclined to use high-end skincare stuff than not. this moisturizer works very well for me though it leaves a gel-like layer on the face when applied. this can be attributed to the oily skin i have. nonetheless, the light springy scent and texture of this moistuizer leaves its competitors weak in the kness. it hydrates my skin very well and i have noticed some buoyancy in the skin!

It is oil-free and that's why I like to have it on my comb-oily skin. It moisturizes well, and gives a lasting effect. I like the smell of it, really fresh.

I have been using this product for almost five years now and absolutely love it. I switch between both the dry skin and oily skin versions, depending on the season. I find that it is very hydrating, and the cool after effect is a bonus. The fragrance is not too strong and the texture is great. The price isn't too crazy, however I don't like the packaging. I find it unsanitary and would prefer something in a pump or sqeeze bottle as opposed to the jar/pot style. To keep from harboring any bacteria I use a mini spatula to spoon out the product. Overall it is a great product.

Ultra-cool hydrating. And that's what it does, it gives a faint cooling sensation as it moisturizes. This is a non-greasy very light weight product that I found gives wonderful moisture. At $40 it's a bit expensive, but your face is something that's worth investing in.

I bought this about 2 years ago and I have returned to this after trying about 4 other brands. I think that gives you an idea of how much I like this product. :). Just to note, my skin is oily combination with a few flakes around the nose prior to using this. Thanks to this product, flakes are gone without being oily.
The reason for breaking from it was the price. At the time, I was a student and the price C$45 for 50 ml was a bit steep. It still is a bit pricey but I think it's one of the few things out there I find to give me a lot of moisture without being oily (it's a cooling gel), no annoying scent (very light fresh green scent), a smoothing finish for perfect makeup application, instant absorption, and easy to find regardless of the city.
Overall, to me I would call this a subtle holy grail because you don't notice how great it is TILL you stop using it :).

feels incredibly light and cooling. hydrates my combination skin really well, keeping all the shine at bay! well, for half a day that is. having used lancome's hydra mat controle, biotherm's aquasource definitely works better at controlling shine. furthermore, this small bottle can last me a long long time! still, i'm looking for the perfect hydrating matte moisturiser for my skin.

I can't tell you how much I love this product. It works wonders for my normal/combo skin which is a bit more on the oily side, but my cheeks get dry. It leaves my skin feeling light and refreshed, yet moisturized and not feeling tight. My face seriously benefits from this as I have repurchased the moisturizer already and am going to purchase my third bottle soon.

Got this free from my friend who has sensitive oily skin. Although it claims to be oil-free, it makes her skin even more oily... Personally i find it does a good job of hydrating my skin, it doesn't leave a film and the moisturizer absorbs really well. And the cool feeling of it fresh from the fridge is simply marvelously refreshing in a hot climate like Singapore!

When my face is dry(like today!) I use my Biotherm aquasource hydra-gel & it provides instant cooling relief. Does not break my acne-prone skin out and feels incredible!
