Kaleidoscope Him Out was one of my lucky finds at a mall salon, and I love it. It's a pale blue holographic polish with large holo particles. To me, the blue leans just a bit green. It has both a scattered and linear-like rainbow effect, even indoors.

It is one of the thinnest nail polishes I own, but I got opaque coverage in 3 coats. The formula is just kind of watery. Still, it spreads evenly on the nail (unlike the OMG collection) and dries so quickly.

I use it without a basecoat, and if you don't mind the decreased wear time, you could skip topcoat, too. When I used OPI DS topcoat, I couldn't detect any dulling.

The first picture doesn't look like my batch of Kaleidoscope Him Out - the color in the picture is a bit darker and more of a true blue than a light blue. It could just be the lighting. Also, to my eye, Kaleidoscope Him Out is very different from 2NITE from the OMG collection. 2NITE is darker and much purpler, and it has smaller holo particles. Maybe there are multiple versions of either polish floating around?

Pale sky blue holo--how can you resist? It's gorgeous. I have more holographic polishes, but the color of this one is exquisite. I love blues, so this is right up my alley. Wear is acceptable, not the best, but you put up with what you have to for the shiny. A bit touchy to apply like all holos, but I can make it work. I think a top coat does bring the holo effect down just a smidge, but to me it's worth it for the extended wear.

This color is absolutely amazing! The photograph above unfortunately doesn't do justice to this nail polish. Sadly the camera washes out the amazing rainbow effect of this beautiful turquoise blue shade. I've never worn a blue nail polish I really liked until now. The hologram effect is phenomenal, the glimmery rainbow color spectrum that shows up as light passes over it is amazing, & the turquoise shade itself is really lovely. The iridescence is just to die for. I would buy this color over & over again. There is really no grey or drabness in this shade. I checked the label on the bottle to make sure I'm talking about the right nail polish. All the ChG Kaleidoscope colors are awesome. I wish I had discovered these sooner. You have to try this for yourself to see.

Apply 2-3 coats for full effect. Dries semi-matte but still very shimmery & looks fabulous either its natural way or with a shiny top coat over it. Absolutely delicious. I'm on the hunt for all the shades.
The 2nd uploaded picture is my hand with 3 coats Kaleidoscope Him Out topped with 3 coats of Beauty Basics Hardener top coat.

This is a very pretty light blue holo. The holographic effect is most evident outdoors in the sunlight--the polish is gorgeous then! Inside, it's kind of a drab blueish-gray that is not flattering on my skintone (I'm pretty pale). It's not super versatile, but it's still a polish I'd like to have in my stash for when I'm just in the mood for something different.

China Glaze Kaleidoscope Him Out is a beautiful icy, pale blue loaded with gorgeous rainbow holo shimmer. I love how in dim lighting, it looks like a pretty sky blue with silver shimmer and when you step out into the sun, it turns into this icy, beautiful blue that shimmers with multi coloured holo. Application was very tricky for me, as one coat was really patchy and uneven. The second coat smoothed it out a little, but it still wasn't perfect, but the third coat evened everything out and provided flawless coverage and colour. It dries out to be quite dull, but a layer of top coat made the colour glossy and the holo shimmer glisten. I adore the holo in this, it adds so much sparkle and depth that makes the icy blue even more beautiful.

This polish is an icy sky blue color w/tons of holographic glitter. I really like this polish as it reflects so many beautiful colors. Looks great on my NW20 pink undertoned skin. I would say that this polish is definitely "cool" in color tones. I had not problems w/application. The 1st coat did look a little streaky but the 2nd coat covered very well. The texture was smooth and there was no clumping or dragging. I did note that I when I added my Revlon Colorstay TC the holo seemed to dull down just a slight bit. This comes in the standard np bottle w/the standard applicator. I was lucky enough to get this as a RAOK so I am not totally sure of the cost. I would definitely repurchase this one and am looking forward to getting some of the other from this collection.

Kaleidoscope Him Out is a pretty, baby blue holo from China Glaze’s Kaleidoscope collection. It’s very, very similar to 2NITE from their new OMG holo collection but to my eye KHO is just the tiniest touch darker. It also has more glitter and the holo seems more intense than in 2NITE. I think the best way to describe it is like this: 2NITE is a base of baby blue with a strong holo topcoat. KHO seems to be a baby blue shade with tons of holo glitter mixed in. It seems the glitter/holo in KHO is more a part of the color rather than just being on top of the color, if that makes any sense.

Application wasn’t completely smooth but it wasn’t too bad. I used 2 coats of White-Kwik-Silver as a base then went for the holo. When I applied the first coat of KHO to my first nail I had terrible dragging and pulling. Since I know from working with the OMGs that this can be the result of not allowing enough drying time for my base, I sat for a few more minutes before doing the other 9 nails. That seemed to help a little, but I still had to be careful not to overwork or overlap my brushstrokes because the color has a tendency to pull and leave bare spots if messed with too much. I allowed a few minutes of dry time before attempting coat #2 and that went on with no problem. A layer of Nailtek and then SV on top and my manicure is good and shiny. And rainbow-y!

It pains me to mark this ‘No’ for repurchase. Overall I’m really happy with it but because it is so similar to 2NITE (and because I have 2 bottles of that one) I probably won’t need to keep both colors and I probably won’t repurchase. Not because I don’t love it, but because they’re such close dupes and even as much as I love having backup bottles I don’t think I need three.

This color has less holo than the other kaleidoscopes. It is also a more silvery blue than really blue. It doesn't look good with my skin tone. In just the right light, it does look holo, but just not enough for me personally.

Opinion on the whole CHINA GLAZE "Kaleidoscope" Collection seems to be split among my friends, but - depending on the color - this is a really pretty, fun & DEFINITELY interesting polish.

Using this pretty blue shade, "Kaleidoscope Him Out," as an example, the end effect (after a base coat, at least two coats of polish + a really shiny topcoat) is a metallic-looking sky/silver- blue with rather diffuse sparkle. Not that great. BUT- get it in the right lighting, which seems to be any place like a fairly dark restaurant with a light on or over the table, and WOW! Holographic rainbows sparkle back & forth across the basic shade as you move your fingers! Classic, restrained, wear-for-a-job-interview nail polish, this is NOT! But it's sparkly & fun & different at a club, a restaurant, a concert, etc. (You can also get the effect on a really bright, sunny day for some reason, but not in normal lighting.)

I've tried several shades, and they are not all equal in terms of the holographic rainbow effect... The silver shade, "Sexagon" is probably the most spectacular in that area, while to me, the gold color, "It's My Turn," is surprisingly dull, with the others I've tried all falling somewhere in between on the spectrum.

(One warning: don't be upset if you can't get an even first coat of this stuff onto your nails. It's just the slightly odd consistency of the polish; everything evens out with the second coat.)

This is a pretty and funky holographic sky blue color. This went 9 days with just a couple of minor chips. I used Seche Vite base coat and Out the Door fast dry top coat. Ulta charges $9 a bottle, but you can get it as low as $2.99 on the internet.

Before I bought some of the Kaleidoscopes, I was anything but a glitter girl, and I wasn't really a hardcore pastel lover (still not), but I am definitely loving these polishes. KSHO may be my favorite so far. It's a lightish blue with two coats and the depth of color and light refraction is pretty remarkable. Try layering this over two coats of ChG Aqua Baby also, it deepens the holographic effect of this polish and it's terrific! Perhaps the most wonderful thing about the polish is that there's no downside to all that spectacular sparkle: The light-refracting particles disolve when you remove your polish, so there's no sparkly mess when you remove your polish. The only negative thing I can say about these is: you must be very carful when applying as it "picks up" very easily, meaning that it doesn't stick to the nail very easily until it's at least partially dry, even with a good base coat, so try not to go over the same area twice until it's dry. These are so worth it!!
