This was a complete miss for the HIP duos that I have grown to love. Lets start off with that horrible pink color. That pink was so hard to use my brushes was picking up nothing. I dampened my brush with Fix + hoping I would get better results that failed as well. I ended up scraping my nail across the shadow just to get it out the pan. Horrible! As for the brown its a basic matte color, quality pigmentation I guess.

I used to eye the HiP eyeshadows when I was in high school, and now that I happen to get a hold of a couple of these Bright Eyeshadow Duos, I'm not sure why I wanted them so badly years ago. The colors look bright and promising in the pans, but applying them takes a lot of work. I find that the pans are so stiff that I had to use my nails to scratch the surfaces of each color to powder it up a little, and only then was it somewhat effective at building any intensity. Blending is terrible, since seems to apply unevenly even when patted thoroughly over a primer. This works out much better with wet applicators or brushes, but skip it if you prefer dry or on-the-go applications. I will be doing the latter.

I used this for the first time today and got tons of compliments. Product goes on smooth with great color payoff. It has been over 10 hours and no creasing! I am hooked on the HIP line. Will def repurchase

Good for the pink. Must use it wet for a really good eyeliner. Once you use it wet one time basically you have to use it that way from that point forward.

Macbarbie07 recommended this in one of her tutorial videos and I instantly bought this duo. It comes with a bright pink and chocolate brown color. It really enjoy this in the summer or around Valentine's Day to spice up my look. I will make a repurchase of this again.

The quality of the matte e/s in this duo is better than other matte e/s in this line. Work well together and very pigmented. The pink is deeper and not so clownish and the brown is nice too. Its not as hard to work with. I used the brown on my lid and the pink in the crease and it was beautiful. Nice job L'Oreal!

I didn't like this product. I had high hopes for it when I bought it. The pinkish color looked really cute in the package and it looked like I could make a really pretty smokey eye with the brown included. Boy was I wrong.
The colors crease like mad. I really dislike it. I put it on for school and by second period, it had completely creased. I was ticked.
Not only that, but the colors fell flat for me. I do like the brown, I will admit that, but the pink is nothing like what it looks like it should be.
Also the shadows are very chalky and that's just something I dislike in a shadow.
Overall, this is a product I do not like, will not buy again, and would not recommend.

Great quality shadows :) I absolutely love HiP! (Great eyeliners as well!) These two colors are awesome, and I use them for a couple diff. looks :) I can use the deep side as a liner, and the pinky color in the outer v, crease, or over the lid :) (looks awesome with golds and nudes!) This duo creates a nice fun & sultry look IMO. <3 I love the pink so much, and the darker shade is so great to make any look a "night out" look. I would repurchase (I actually almost have too lol) and def. recommend :)

I do not use either of these shadows as shadows..I only use the brown side as an eyeliner. I use my smashbox flat top cream eyeliner brush and wet it a little bit, and dip it in the shadow and then press it into my lash line.I've used this for about a year or more and hit pan a little while ago. I'll be out of it soon. I think it's a great eyeliner- I haven't found a lot of shadows that works as eyeliners but this one does fantastically. No fall out. It is a medium-dark brown eyeliner on me. I've tried using both sides of this duo and a couple other HIP duos as shadows and can't. The colors are strange, unflattering, and don't blend well at all. But the one side as an eyeliner is one of my favorites, so I'm giving it 4 stars for that.

Creased like a muddy mess.
(Sister gave it to me she used the pink side as a blush)

so i gotta say i love this product!!! for reference im nw43. this is the best eyeshadow duo that i have ever used, and it works amazing on my skin tone!
it has a pretty pink, and i wud say a brown with bit of reddish tint to it. the brown is pretty matte, and the pink is matte too though sometimes theres a tiny bit shimmer on it. they are pigmented, blending is not the easiest thing but u know they are matte shades, so takes a bit of effort to blend any matte shade. they last a long time. today i wore the brown without a base, and guess wht? its been 8 hours, still there! amazing huh.
ok so i read how some ppl say its hard to use both of this shadow together. but ill telll ya all how i use em both. i use the brown on my lid, then the pink in the crease. and use my carbon for the outer corner. then line top n bottom lid with a black eyeliner. its so pretty. many many ppl have complimented me on this look. its smokey, and also so sultry.
for a day i wanna do something tht kinda makes me look im not wearing make up, i use my 217 to blend the brown shade on my lid, and some mascara and im good to go!!
and oh yeah, i have sushi flower frm mac, and i wud say the pink one is a good dupe for tht. sushi flower is slightly more peachy on my lids, but doesnt look tht different from this pink shade.
overall, love it!

I tried a few other shadows in the h.I.P. line, and they are working better for me than this one. I thought I might be able to use the colors in this pot separately. As a duo, I can't imagine how to use them in a flattering manner...maybe the pink could be used with other eyeshadows to some cool effect, but that's not an avenue I explored because it's not my style. Separately, I tried using the pink in various intensities: a light swipe, layered on, etc. and I just didn't like the way it looked on my eyelid. It's pretty garish, and difficult to blend/work with. It may work well with a more neutral bone or white/cream color, but the pink is just not for me. The brown is super-matte, in that it is pretty dry texturally and appearance-wise. It was even harder for me to try to blend. And watch out for fallout! This duo is really chalky in texture, not smooth or easy-to-blend brights like I wanted to try. I bet the pink would look nice on darker (and possibly olive skin), but it's very intense on fair complexions...I wonder if you could use it in small amounts as a blush? You could use the brown as a liner wet or dry, and it should work fine, but I already have plenty of other shadows that can do that job, so I won't be getting this duo again. This just didn't do anything I was hoping it would do.

Hmmm....the pink feels hard. When i dip my finger into a nice eyeshadow it feels creamy and smooth and goes onto my skin easily and pigmented. Well...the pink feels hard, goes on sheer, after layering still isn't the best pink in the world. I feel that as a duo, i haven't once used the colors together because they don't blend that well. I find i use the pink with a nice frosty white but rarely use it ever.

This duo was okay..the colors are a bright hot pink and a chocolate brown with a matte finish, but they weren't as pigmented as I was hoping. I have oily eyelids & even when using UDPP the colors always ended up fading & weren't as vibrant as I wanted it them be. I can probably find other eyeshadows that are dupeable and have better quality. That is why I would not repurchase.

The pink in this duo is fairly pigmented (not fabulously) very matte and works best for me as a bright eyeliner (haven't been able to get it to work well as e/s cuz it doesn't blend very well). The brown on the other hand is fabulous, extremely pigmented and dense for multiple uses. Overall fun and if I ever run out I would probably buy again.

I usually wear neutrals but was trying for a sexier evening look that wasn't too dark (I have small deeper set eyes so i end up looking like a rat LOL if I use too heavy and dark a shadow)
The pink is a bright fuschia color which actually looks great on me. For reference I am NC44/45. I used MAC in ALL THAT GLITTERS on the lid, theHIP duo pink shade in the crease and then darkened it with the brown shade for a smokey look that was more exotic and sexy than my attempts at a dark smoky eye.
My gripe with this is that its pretty $$ for drugstore shadows and the quality just isnt there; its fine but not as finely milled as my favorite brands. If I could find these shades in Stila or Mac I would be snatching them up.

I bought this and thought I purchased another color set, since I'm too lazy to go back, I kept it. The colors aren't very pigmented, and appear very flat. I'm aware these shadows are matte but they're almost dry and old looking - a bit much on the matte end. Packaging is nice with the little flip mirror underneath but it's almost bulky.

I really like this particular duo. The colors, which are pink and brown aren't really colors I would ever think to put together. Both colors are VERY pigmented and have awesome color payoff. They are go on perfectly fine and you don't really need alot for it to be seen. The colors together also look really nice, very rare colors, but nice none the less.
