Okay, I just have to say I was completely caught off guard by how much I wound up liking this shampoo. I waltzed into Victoria's Secret to see if there were any good bra sales going on (there weren't) and ended up stumbling across their buy 2 get 1 free hair care sale. I hadn't even known Victoria's Secret also manufactured hair products so I was ecstatic to discover them...as well as kinda miffed since I'd just managed to kick my obsession with buying hair products, but I digress. ANYWAY, I bought this shampoo along with two conditioners (the one from the color treated line and the one from the balance line) and carried my 26 dollars-less butt home.


When I went to wash my hair I couldn't help but feel nervous since my hair usually doesn't fare too well with shampoos that involve sulfates (or with much of any shampoo for that matter); they leave my hair feeling too squeaky, too stripped, too tangled, and nearly begging for tropical rains to quench it. This shampoo did no such thing. It lathers beautifully, smells absolutely WONDERFUL (and this is coming from someone who doesn't like too many scents), rinses clean without leaving that residue feeling behind, and...it didn't leave my hair feeling like a crackly mess! Yes my hair still tangled but it wasn't as nearly as bad as with previous run ins with shampoo. Instead, my hair felt soft and smooth. This is an accomplishment considering I hadn't even used conditioner yet (and for me, conditioner is NOT an option. It is mandatory).


I will repurchase this, because I've splurged on plenty of hair products more expensive than this that I barely even liked, and you don't need to use much for it to be effective so it lasts awhile. I also like the smell and the performance. As for the packaging, I'm not a fan, but that's more of a complaint for the conditioners (ya'll know how THICK that stuff is for it to come out that flimsy bottle?!) since the shampoo's thinner. Overall, I would recommend this one to anyone with...hair.

I got both the shampoo and conditioner, thinking a combination of the same line would give a better effect. The shampoo is alright, it does smell good, however, the smell is not heavy and of course it fades a little as the day goes on, just like any shampoo. At the end of the day, you can still smell A BIT of it.
Bottom of the line, I wouldn't buy this again. It does smell good, but not THAT good that I would purchase an expensive shampoo just for its smell, especially when it's not going to hold that smell's intensity for most of the day. I would prefer Dove's moisturizing shampoo. Basically no difference to me, especially that Dove's are a lot cheaper (probably $7 at Costco, for its size 3X that of this VS nourishing shampoo). Oh yeah, it is small, compared to the typical pantene and dove.

I'm super disappointed in the scent of this shampoo. Every other reviewer goes on and on about how great it smells and how long the smell lasts. The woman at VS who sold it to me raved about the scent. She even said "You don't have to wear perfume when you use this." So, I'm expecting a strong, long-lasting scent. Nothing. I got nothing. The scent in the bottle is ok and its about as strong as any other shampoo scent- but, the other reviewers said it smells stronger and better on your hair- ok. Still, nothing, really truly nothing. I used the shampoo, the conditioner, and the leave in conditioning spray- all the "So, Sexy" scent. I've done this whole routine twice and I even asked my husband to smell my hair- nothing- no scent at all.

I actually think this is a great shampoo/conditioner/leave-in combo. My fine, straight, damaged hair looks and feels wonderful. I got all three products on a 3/$24 deal, which makes this very affordable. I will keep using it because it makes my hair look and feel great but I'm bummed that I don't get the wonderful, you-don't-need-perfume smell.

My theory is that lack of scent is because I air dry my hair. I don't use any heat at all. I'm guessing that whatever the wonderful scent is it's being released by heat. So, probably if you blow dry it would work, and those who blow dry and flat iron probably get a the most out of the smell. It's just a theory. I'm not going to test it by blow-drying my hair because I'm really trying to grow it out and I can't afford that damage.

My go to shampoo asof now. Love the packaging and the product......exceeded my expectations! It smells wonderful. Very floral and feminine which i love. This shampoo cleanses my scalp and hair really well and without any drying which is huge for me since i have very long waist length 3b-3c curls. Wish the bottle was a bit bigger but a little bit goes a long way. Lathers nicely. Just an all around great shampoo. A treat everytime i step into the shower :) I adore the So Sexy line***

I use this in conjunction with the Nourishing Conditioner. I can't tell if this shampoo does much for my hair, except makes it smell good, which I love. It's a pretty big bottle and in my opinion totally worth it for the price. However the conditioner does the same thing with making it smell good, so if you already have a shampoo you love just get the conditioner.

SMELL IS ABSOLUTELY INTOXICATING!! everyone loves it. i wear high end perfumes, and alot of pricey body lotions and mists, but i get the most compliments about my scent when i use this shampoo and conditioner. i didnt notice a film of anything on my hair at all...and my hair is THICK, dry, and curly. But with this shampoo and conditioner my hair is so soft and amazing. price is decent when they have them on 3 for 24,,,however the packaging pisses me off..kind of hard to get all the product out. Would definitaly repurchase

Initially, I used the Normal Hair formula in the lighter pink bottle, but then changed to this one. I appreciate the rich, creamy lather. In relation to the scent-so what?. Most shampoos have fragrance, to one degree or another. This is an adequate shampoo. Does leave my hair slightly on the frizzy side, sometimes, but not as bad as some other, more expensive brands for the dandelion fluff factor. Did add a little extra shine and strength with repeated use. A pleasant change, especially in early Spring/Summer. Didn't notice that it faded my frequently colored, highlighted hair at all. All together, a lovely shampoo experience!. Would likely buy again, since this is my second bottle. (I do use different conditioners paired with this, though).

I just posted a review of the So Sexy Nourishing Conditioner. I use the two together, and my dry and frizzy hair has finally calmed down and looks shinier and smoother than it has in years. I've only been using this line for about a week, so I hope the results don't fade over time. I'll probably use a clarifying shampoo once a week and alternate with another shampoo & conditioner a couple days a week.

Definitely not the best shampoo I've used but is smells so great! I bought a travel sized bottle of this last summer during their semi-annual sale. I finally used it several months later and absolutely loved the way it makes my hair smell. I immediately went out and bought a full-sized bottle and I've been using it ever since. As a shampoo, it's pretty decent. It's thicker than most and provides lots of lather. My hair is super dry so I only wash it every 3 days or so. The yummy fragrance in this shampoo lasts for days leaving my hair smelling clean and fresh long after I've washed it. VS frequently has their hair products on sale which makes the shampoo more afforadable.

UPDATE: DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT - WARNING - First, VS will not take it back if THEY THINK you have used it. I did not use it. I had the receipt, bag and had only bought a couple of days ago. They still would not take it back! AND THEY RESELL THE SHAMPOOS THEY DO TAKE BACK! THAT IS SO GROSS! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNLESS YOU KNOW YOU WANT IT. ORIGINAL POST: I didn't think to question whether this got such great reviews due to the scent alone or the performance...not until I bought it and tried it. The scent really bothers me...way too perfumey for me. I prefer a salon fresh scent. So that left me with performance and this is a nothing shampoo. I even kept trying it due to all the interesting ingredients. But nothing..flat, dull hair.

If you love the scent, buy it. But otherwise, do not waste your money.

I gave this 3 lipsticks and said that I would buy this product again for two reasons: one -- it smells absolutely intoxicating! and two -- it does have a very nice, rich lather (which seems so hard for me to find!) However, I had just dyed my hair before purchasing this, and I did find that it faded the color a tad bit. And it also dried out my hair a little. However, when I was using this shampoo it was when I would wash my hair every day (which is the worst habit!) I'm willing to give this a try now, because I only wash my hair every 2 to 3 days. And my hair is much healthier than it was before. So, point is -- if you have dry or color treated hair, this might not be the best for you. You can try it, and return it if you don't like it. The price isn't bad! You get 3 So Sexy products for $24. When I try this again, I'll write another review. Oh, also, if you do buy this and find it is a bit drying, try using it with the So Sexy Instant Detangler! That acts as a leave-in conditioner leaving your hair silky soft. ;)

The only reason I buy this shampoo (and conditioner to go with it) is because I LOVE the smell!! I mean I don't know if it does anything as far as "nourishing" my hair but I love the smell so that is enough for me to continue buying it!

I, like everyone else, bought it for the reviews of the scent, even though I didn't like the smell just from sniffing it out of the bottle. It turns out to be a pretty nice scent. Like over the top, citrussy magnolias, spicy lilacs, and the barest hint of allspice. It's not exactly breathtaking, but it's definitely pretty yummy, and though it's subtle once it dries, it definitely lasts.


As for the performance, it's really a so-so shampoo. I think it's ever-so-slightly fading my colored hair, and it leaves my hair a bit frizzy and limp. I do like it well enough as a body wash, though. It smells nice, but you can certainly find better shampoo. I may just have to switch back to the ridiculously overpriced Pureology shampoo that I love.

I was lemming this for awhile, esp since I've been hearing how the scent attracts men, etc. lol. When I got it, I wasn't that impressed by teh scent. Smells nice (kind of reminded me of Avon SSS Soft & Sensual). I use other products so I didn't notice the scent later on. Only thing I really noticed about this is that my hair was greasy much faster than usual. I use other moisturizing shampoos & I don't have this problem. I tried this twice just to make sure that it wasn't from using too many styling products, but nope, this is just way too heavy for me. Very disappointed because I really wanted to like this

Okay, I gave this only two lippies, but I will definitely repurchase it. Why? It smells heavenly! It dries the crap out of my hair, but the scent is intoxicating and lasts a really long time.

I LOVE this shampoo. I was originally searching for a shampoo that would smell fantastic, but with this one, I got SO much more. Yes, it smells good, but that's not what I love about it. I've been using it for just over a week, and I cannot stop touching my hair. It is SO soft. I have normal to dry, colored hair, and typically only wash it every other day to avoid the frizzies. Since switching to this shampoo, my hair looks healthy, fells healthy & silky and no frizzies at all.

Of note: I also have been pairing this with the So Sexy Balancing Conditioner. (originally wanted the Nourishing conditioner, but they were sold out at my locat VS - this combination works for me, tho - so not changing a thing)

I've never reviewed anything here before, but I've never completely LOVED a product like this one before.

I've found my first Holy Grail product. woo hoo!

I like this product alot very moisturizing for my dry, thick curly hair. Makes my hair very shiney and soft. I think this would not work for fine hair because my sister used it and it made her hair look awful, really limp, so she gave me the products and I will repurchase when I run out.
