LOVE IT! This is the only eyeliner that I have tried that has barely smudged on me which is surprising because it is pencil. It is a great everyday color for a more natural look versus black.

MAC Technakhol in Brown Border.
Nothing special. I think it is a few more dollars than Sephora's basic eyeliner. In fact I can not tell the difference. I do like this color but it is no different than a sephora liner in the exact same package.
It does not go on as smoothly as some eyeliners out there. But once on it does stay about 8 hours. A basic brown that leans toward the reddish brown color.
I need to explore better options for eyeliners by MAC. I love their foundation so I know there has to be something right for me.

I have been wearing the wrong eyeliner I can see that, when the Mac s/p put this on me it was like night and day with my blue eyes. I look rested with this color, I'll never be without it, it's the perfect brown and I had been wearing some Revlon Charcoal that was all wrong. This is the good thing about a make up counter and not just grabbing something at the drug store.

I meant to buy this to line my upper lid above my lashes and on them. Well, this liners skips on your skin. It has a wonderful coloring, but since it skips it takes triple the time it would take usually. Plus it doesn't really have a even line. Since it doesn't have a more defined point, the line you make take alot longer as well. I'm returning it.

A little to red. I liked the Duck eye pencil better. Techkohl needs a color similar to that one. However great staying power

This is a good dark brown eyeliner. This technakohl in particular has better color payoff than other technakohls I've tried. It's dark brown with no other underlining tones so it should work on all skin tones. I like that too because you can wear it with a variety of eyeshadows.
It gives good definition but is a little darker than I like for an everyday liner, you just have to be careful about getting a very precise line or it looks almost like black if you have pale skin.I'd probably repurchase it, but the color itself is pretty basic, nothing special, and doesn't make my eye color pop or anything, it just defines my eyes well.
EDIT- I ended up giving this away- it is just too dark of a color for me. Definitely better on someone with medium-dark skin and eyes.

omg. for anyone of you out there, that's like me...where when wearing black eyeliners are too dramatic for you. you must try this. i've been looking everywhere trying to find one that's right.
i was planning to give shiseido a try, because their colors are more for asian skin tones or eye types. but since they don't have ones that i don't have to sharpen with, and decided to give mac a shot. i'm happy that i did.
i actually have double eye-lids; however, the lids distance are pretty close together, that's why i look weird when i wear any "bold" eyeliners. anyways, the mac's makeup artist taught me that i should draw a thin line "really" close to my eyelash area. and yay. now i look really natural with this technique and this new eyeliner.
i will for sure buy this eyeliner again

This is my #1 eyeliner for daily use. I have to say I was a lost puppy for about a week when I couldn't find it. I like the medium brown color and how it brings out my brown eyes. It is also great for using in the waterline without making the eyes look too made up. I never have problems with it smearing or fading. The eyeliner has a crayon style tip and does require sharpening sometimes. Most drugstore brands have a sharpener so I use them to sharpen it. Overall, it works with just about every look, even for the evenings.

it looks natural on my olive skin and i have no problems with the application. it glides on smooth, stays on all day, no joke, and i never have to sharpen or reapply.
the brown is a nice tone.
i love it. no going back. i have found the holy grail.
i like to smudge this with my angled eyeliner brush too. never panda eyes on me

This is my second one that I use. I got this for an everyday use and the black one for the weekend or for a more bold effect. I like that it stays put for HOURS, very smooth when you apply it. A+ to MAC for this product!

Great basic dark brown color and no funky untones. Adds enough drama to the eye without looking to harsh. This eyeliner lasts all day and into the next day. I really like it.

A good dark brown. More brown than Photogravure but defines the lashlines well. Easy to use. Convinient for traveling. A must have. It's not exciting but very useful. Will repurchase.

The color and application are good, but the staying power isn't any better than drugstore eyeliners.

Love this eyeliner!!!! It stays on all day and it's easy to line both the outside and inner rims of eyes. The color is the same as MAC's Dipdown Fluidline, I use them together all the time. Applies well over eyeshadow. There are absolutely no red or gray undertones and it is a true dark brown.

Love this eyeliner. I am on my second one. It is a beautiful matte dark brown color. I put some MAC Painterly Paint Pot underneath the eyeliner and it stays put all day. I have very minimal smudging. My favorite brown eyeliner.

HG brown liner for me. It applies smoothly and I feel perfectly in control when using it. I sometimes even use it instead of liquid eyeliner for my top lid when I'm in a rush, as it can draw a very defined, sharp line. It is also excellent for the waterline and lasts for most of the day (though it does fade slightly; I find it stays on for longer if I gently wipe down my waterline before I apply it, then leave it for a few seconds to set). On my top lid, it does not budge until I remove it.

I'm a product junkie. I bought 3 liners in one day. MAC's Technakohl in Brownborder, Cover Girl's Outlast smoothwear in brown, and ALMAY's eyeliner (that's what its called now i guess? I dont know where the Amazing comes from, i guess that's what it used to be. let me know if i'm worng please.)
They all lasted me all day! MAC goes on so beautifully but does smudge just a little bit, so much you might not even notice it let alone others. MAC had the nicest color and it goes on so soft.
Cover Girl was a hassel to put on. Its too hard, you have to go over a few times and the product clings on to your skin at some parts more than it should giving you a non-smooth look.
ALMAY won the match because it did what MAC did for quarter of the price!!!! It goes on smooooooth like you'd think it wont last but it does last for the 16 hours it claims. It is waterproof so be ware to clean it with oil-based eye makeup remover or something. I'm returning MAC and Cover Girl and sticking with ALMAY.
Only reason i'm not giving it a 5 is that I kinda liked the MAC color better, although you have to have a magnifying glass to tell the difference. I might not even be able to tell if I didnt put it on myself! but i'm picky so one lippie for that.
ALMAY is like a dark brown and MAC is the same but with some more red in it. so it depends on you preference and your $$$ which you'd go with because the quality is the same if not ALMAY better.

Sorry to be the rain on the parade, but this has not been one of my favorite products. When using this liner, the line tends to go on unevenly. The line is too thick for me, and there's nothing that I can do about it. I had been hoping to use this to achieve a smoky effect, but all that happened was that I looked like a raccoon.

Nice matte dark chocolate brown color, although I don't use it as an eyeliner. I apply this first on my lids, blend it, and apply Dark Edge e/s over it. It's the perfect combo for a brown smoky e/s look, along with Beaded e/s to highlight. I like the look but took off a lippie just because I tend to wear more colorful e/s looks, this one is more for a lazy MU day for me. :)
