I seem to use this with nearly all my berry and pink lippies. I think its the fact that it so closely matches my natural lip colour. Nothing worse that seeing an obvious lip line.
So easy to use and I love that fact that you dont waste time or product having to sharpen it. Very reasonably priced. Seems to last an age on my lips and is effective in stopping my lipstick from bleeding.
I wish AVON would introduce some more colours!
A nice pale nude shade would be fab. The four colours are quite strong.

Not this colour anyway. I'm just opening up about 6 different pencil products from Avon and so far I'm disappointed. First disappointment was the Ultra Luxury Lip Liner in Shimmer Mauve which SO IS NOT mauve but an orange brick colour! See my pictures and rant! Then I opened Glimmerstick in Mystery Mauve - finally they got the name right, because it's a mystery why they call this colour mauve. I have learned my lesson - Avon's Mauves are Orange Brown. The glimmerstick is slightly better than the Ultra Lux liner in colour but only barely - I'm just looking at this swiped on the back on my hand and it's so brown with orange undertone I would NEVER buy this in a store.

I don't find myself reaching for this very often, perhaps because I have so many lip liners to pick from. I love the fact that I don't have to sharpen the tip, it twists up automatically. I've had this liner for at least 5 years and it's still perfectly good. The color is pretty versatile, it works well with nearly all my mauve, berry and neutral lipsticks. I'll probably have this in my makeup arsenal another 5 years from now !! At least it's there if I need it. I highly recommend this product.

It's really ridiculous how many lipsticks I wear with this: I have slightly mauvy-pink lips to begin with so that may have something to with it, but this perfectly neautral mauve liner really is so versatile it would be tough to screw it up. I wear it with nearly all of my cool-tones pinks, mauves, plums, and roses with very pale shades being the only exceptions. Definitely a no with any warm tones, in which case I'd suggest Simply Spice.
I really love the mechanical self-sharpening packaging, as I think it's so wasteful to sharpen wood pencils. The texture of this is deceptive; I thought it would be terrible because it seemed almost drying at first. Once I layered my lipstick over it, however, I realized how terribly wrong I was! It really keeps lipstick in place and enhances the wear quite significantly. No feathering.
This has become such a staple for me that I keep two or three around at any given time. I think it's safe to say I'll be buying more down the road :)
