It does what I need it to do. I curl my hair and it with this my curls stay in place all day. Sometimes I do a faux hawk as well, and without this little pieces of hair would be flying all over the place.

Kinda sucks. I used the aerosol version of this and when I ran out, I bought the new volumizing kind (the one with bamboo on the can). Well, it sucks too. It doesn't last all day and if you touch or "break" your hair apart, it gets really flaky like dandruff. The only positive I can say about this is that it smells pretty good and won't choke you to death with noxious fumes like some other sprays.
Okay, I learned that the fundamental problem with these hairsprays is that they contain water. Yes, water. Why the crap would anyone put water in a hairspray? That's the stuff we use to wash the style OUT of our hair, right? Well, it's a cheap filler and unfortunately many cheap companies use it hoping that no one will know the difference. It's time to start reading labels. I've found that Tresemme is one of the only cheap brands that has a water-free hairspray, so that will be next on my shopping list.

I use this just for taming flyaways and giving my hair a little volume boost. It does a great job without making my hair really stiff. Plus it smells great compared to other hairsprays. It probably wouldn't work well if you need more holding power, but I like that it's light enough just to give my hair some extra boost.

this is one of the worst hairspray i've ever tried. i have coarse thick hair and this would not hold any of my styles. for my daugher who has fine thin hair..it made her hair feel stiff and almost weighed it down. not the worst but definately not the best or even close to it.

I have straight hair that I like to curl a lot. And this is what I use to make sure my curls stay in for a long time. I curl my hair in sections, and spray after each section. And when I say section, I mean the left bottom half, the right bottom half, the left middle half, etc. Then when my entire head is done I flip my head over and run my fingers through all the curls. Because I have thick hair, the whole process takes a really long time, about an hour. And this hairspray is what makes it worth it because all the hard work won't go away after just a few hours. In fact the curls stay in til i next wash my hy hair. It's that awesome. And the curls re never stiff, eww...who wants that? The curls are soft and very touchable. I love this hairspray, it's not my only one, but I still love it.

I have the aerosol version. I admit I was intrigued by the round sprayer which is why I bought it. Ack. I have baby fine hair. I have to be careful to only use a tiny amount or else my hair gets goopy and stuck together. It is borderline glue-like. Also, I have to be careful because the aerosol has such force that when the product comes out, my hair moves and then the product lands. I am frightened of what the "ultra strong" version would be on my hair. I wouldn't buy again. Not for baby fine hair. EDIT: Ack. Did not read the packaging well when I bought it. Didn't realize it contained "micro fruit waxes" or "fruit micro waxes" (can't remember what is on it exactly.) I think this is upping my oiliness significantly. I combat the oilies to begin with and this is definitely not helping. I noticed all of a sudden that midway through the day, my hair was looking dirty. I even tried to switch shampoos and it didn't help. Then I read my hairspray. OH MY. I'm throwing it away tonight.

I have this in the aerosol version. I just use it to control flyaways on the top of my head after blowdrying/straightening my hair. A quick spray and smoothing down the top of my hair with my hands and/or a brush is all it takes to hold it in place all day. It's not stiff or crunchy, nor does it look wet like some hairsprays. The only thing I don't like about it is the strong apple scent. It fades within a half hour but it's pretty strong at first. Other than that, it's cheap and it does the job...so thumbs up from me!

I have very short, layered hair. It's bone straight and VERY thick. I was hoping to find something to keep my bangs back and hold some style.
Like most products, this did the trick for only a few hours. Keep in mind my hair is obnoxiously stubborn and very thick, so if you have more manageable hair then I do think this will work for you. For me, it deflated within about 3 hours, usually less. Didn't hold my bangs back very well either. They'd be in my face by the middle of the day.
What I DO love about this product is the smell - makes my hair smell really yummy! Plus it doesn't flake no matter how much I use - a really rare quality. But I need something that holds, so I won't be buying this again.

I could not possibly ask for more in a hairspray. It really works, and lasts all day, without weighing down my hair, causing gross buildup, or making my hair feel dry or brittle. I have very thick, extremely curly hair, and this holds my hair in place no matter what. When I straighten my hair, it's light enough that I can brush through it normally but has enough hold to resist fly-aways. I have never found anything better, and for just over $4 a can, I don't even need to look.

I see a bunch of reviews for the Ultra Strong version, but I personally only need to use Strong to hold my style. I've purchased countless cans of this. Every so often I'd try something else, but I always come back to this. It is now my HG. The ultra fine mist is perfect for not making your hair too wet. It dries fast, smells great, its not sticky and you can still manipulate your hair afterwards (but its obvious something is there). I've used this on my hair when it was very long, very short and every length in between. It does not flake, but I know that I've never sprayed an insane amount on my hair to really even get to that point...a little goes a long way, and is exactly what I need to keep side swept bangs in place w/out being helmet-ish. keeps hair shiny and is perfect after a blow-out on my fine hair. LOVE!
