My absolute favorite fig scent. The reviewer lisa_67 below pretty much nailed my reaction to this fragrance. If you are used to the mellow, vanilla like figs of Premier Figuier and Philosykos, you will be disappointed upon first application, which, as other reviewers have noted, is very sharp, green and tangy. Initially, I drew back after smelling this but, after several applications, I actually enjoy this sharp opening. And then just wait until the drydown. No powder but creamy, woodsy fig underscored by the tangy opening, which has calmed down but still retains enough green sweetness to really set this scent apart. I was very surprised to find that I like this scent so much as I usually go for warm, heavy orientals, but there is something about this very green, woody, sweet-tangy fig that makes this scent addicting. A must-try for fig, citrus, woods, green-fragrance lovers.

Great GREEN scent (myrtle, fig tree wood, cut grass), but I prefer Hermes Un Jardin en Mediterranee (fig wood & leaves, orange blossom, bergamot, white oleander). UPDATE: I must have been trying to talk myself out of loving this because of the pricetag ,as it is a fabulous fig fragrance, just not one I'll be purchasing unless I run into some more disposable income.

Wow ... this company is going to be the death of my wallet, I think. I love the smell of fig, and I have been on a mission lately to find the perfect rendition. This scent transcends every other -- and I really have sampled them all (Diptyque, L'artisan, Perfumerie Generale, etc). Though it starts off quite dry and green, it quickly melts into a very warm, dry fig -- not at all powdery. It lingers for hours and never becomes powdery or overly sweet. This is the perfect scent if you are looking for something that is mature and elegant, yet also warm and sweet. Most important to me, it smells very natural and earthy (unlike warm/sweet frags with vanilla, amber, or sugar undertones). I think it is enhanced tremendously by the fact that this scent is designed to be unisex. I can't wait for my other samples of Il Profumum to arrive, though, if the other scents are as impeccable as this one, I will soon be broke!

This fragrance screams GREEN. This is not your warm simmering fig scent. It's unripe fruit on a bed of freshly mowed lawn. I'm shocked at how tangy this is - fig scents are usually quiet on me - it never dies down on my skin. It stays sharp and sour. I'm getting irritated. I have to wash this off :P

This is a gorgeous scent that truly transforms itself over time on your skin. It starts off very figgy...not the sweet-creamy fig of l'Artisan's Premier Figuier Extreme, but intensely green fig, very bright and sharp, with a slightly medicinal overlay from the myrtle, and a pungent note of grass. Two hours later, it has dried down into something deep, creamy-figgy, and woodsy. There is no coconut-milk overlay to Ichnusa, as there is in PF Extreme (although I love that one, too); Ichnusa has a figgy creaminess that isn't sugary, and the drydown is just haunting. This fragrance is a real chameleon...don't make a decision about it until you've worn it for a few hours. Lvirginia's comment on a Burberry connection is insightful, and probably why this went from a like to an outright love for me. It is absolutely FBW, but alas, at $195 for 1.7 oz., it's unlikely to be a part of my fragrance wardrobe anytime soon. I will be milking my sample vial for every last molecule. UPDATE: Two words: HOLY GRAIL. God help me, but I caved and bought a bottle during a rare and brief Luckyscent sale. It was still $160, but it's just that good; I wish I could give it 5 more lippies.

At first this smells very green and figgy--kinda like a greener /fresher Henri Bnedel Wild Fig. The dry-down (2-3hrs later) though is fabulous!! like a lighter Burberry (original) lovely, but not fbw!

I am not a fan of fig scents at all, and the myrtle in this blend is not helping, but I think this is well-blended and I do like the fresh grass note in the drydown. It's definitely not for me but fig fans might find this pleasant, fresh and greener than most fig scents out there. Notes: myrtle, fig-tree wood, cut grass.

Absolutely right!THE GREENEST OF THE GREEN!This will take me back 190usd but ineed the little ba....d.After i sample it it absolutely haunts me.I know it will sound ridiculous but it smell a bit loike the organic farm that i buy my grocery so go and figure my olsfactory taste. But what can i do i need it.The fig wood is a perfect copycat for the real thing (you can also smell the sap)and the myrtle isw evident especially in the first sec. This is the freshest of the fresh also with the bed of grass under your body.Indulge in the green.

Profumum Ichnusa is the greenest of green fragrances, which is not something I'd ever go for....but for those who love a dry fig and freshly mown grass, this scent is well blended and potent. It has notes of myrtle, fig-tree wood and cut grass but to me, it is equal parts fig and mowed lawn.
