I bought this at Costco when they had a coupon and I would really like to see those 7 effects. Overall, I was looking for one product that one product that does it all. I've seen this product around forever so it should be good? (even the Costco guy that checks receipts said it was good because it's what his wife uses)
But what they say is true. It's a sunscreen and acts like a sunscreen: it leaves an oily layer on top of your skin that lasts all day. At least, for my skin it did. Why am I still using it? Well, it's kinda expensive for a drug store brand and I'm still in college, saving every penny for living purposes. I spent maybe $30 on this, and that's more than some of my textbooks. I don't want this to go to waste and I really want to believe in it!
But! I started mixing this moisturizer with one pump L'oreal True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup (SPF 20) and I spread it all over my face and neck. Try mixing this product with a liquid foundation, and for ladies that want more coverage, work from there. So far, my face looks really bright and the tinted moisturizer from these two products makes me feel kinda girly. I'm not a huge fan of makeup but this has a super light coverage and a bit of tint and reverses the shiny effects of Olay. I almost neglected the L'oreal foundation because it made my face look kinda fake, and I'd rather blemishes than a weird skin color/texture not found in nature. And I'm sure my skin will love the layering of sunscreen products.
Let's hope this anti-wrinkle stuff works ;D i'll let you know in 10-15 years (I'm Asian and hoping it does me good)
Although, I started this product with the Garnier Fructis Clinical Overnight Peel and Dark Spot Corrector Vitamin C treatment. I don't know which product to attribute to my skin improvements.

I like this moisturizer because it hydrates my skin well, without exacerbating the oiliness of my skin. It does tend to leave white streaks if I use too much, so I just need to be careful not to overdo it at all. I like the pump form because it seems more sanitary than a tub. I get this off of ebay or Amazon, so the price is usually pretty reasonable.

I absolutely love this product!
I have tried so many moisturisers with spf that either broke me out or felt horrible on my skin.
It feels really light on the skin and has a slight spf scent, but nothing overpowering for those who don't like the smell.
But the best thing of all is that it hasn't broke me out!! Hallelujah!
I just wish they will bring out a higher spf for the upcoming summer months.

Awesome! This is the only moisturizer that actually keeps my skin hydrated and soft all day long. The scent is perfect too - not too smelly but a nice, feminine scent. I have borderline combination - dry skin, and of all the creams and moisturizers that I've tried (I've tried many) this is the one that agrees with my skin. It doesn't make it oily or break out, yet it keeps it from drying out getting flaky (and I'm using this in the dead of winter when my skin is its driest). Definitely worth buying, even though it's a tad expensive for a drug-store brand!

I bought this at Costco which sells a large amount 3.4 fl oz. I had used the total effects mature therapy with great results and thought this would be similar. Its not. The problem I had was 1/4 way through the bottle the smell changed. It gave off a bug spray smell. I'm guessing it is bad now which is a huge waste of money. Second, if you don't rub this in good it can leave invisible streaks, which don't matter until you put foundation on and see them. Would never buy this again. Going back to the mature therapy total effects.

I've been using this product for more than a month and I have to say is the best moisturizing cream I've tried so far. I have oily skin so must normal moisturizers made my skin broke but this one, for some reason, have the opposite effect on my skin. My face absorbs it very fast and it dont feels too greasy or sticky. I use it twice a day: on the morning I mix it with a few drops of my foundation and it makes my skin look healthy and it glows. And of course I use it during the night. I consider it a lil bit too expensive but the bottle seems to last for a long time so the price worth it.

This is a great moisturiser, it does what it says and definitely improves the look and feel of skin, and SPF is always a bonus. Despite being expensive when sold at its RRP, the TE range is quite easy to find cheap as well.
The one I have is in the pump action tub, but I realise that it's more commonly found in tubes. Either way I have no qualms with the packaging and it's easy to use. Skin is moisturised immediately and you don't need much to get a lasting dewy feeling. Unfortunately I had 2 main problems with this. The first is minor - the silicon in it leaves white bits around my face which are a nuisance to get rid of. The second is that this breaks me out, which I hate because it's otherwise a great moisturiser. I switched to the anti-blemish version which fortunately doesn't break me out. While I wouldn't buy this again for myself I'd definitely recommend it if your skin isn't acne prone.

I have been using this moisturizer for a month now & I am pretty happy with it. My skin looks & feels much better since using it & my husband has said how soft my skin feels & how "healthy" it looks.
Here is how it measures up to its claims:
1. Line minimization - I am 24 & I don't have any fine lines yet so I'm afraid I can't comment on this.
2. Nourishing moisturization - I have found this to be true, my skin feels moisturized all day & has no dry areas, it also seems to have balanced out my sometimes oily t-zone.
3. Tone enhancement - I have noticed a real difference here, my skin tone appears much more even.
4. Gentle exfoliation - I also found this to be true, my skin feels & looks a lot smoother & softer.
5. Pore refinement - I have to say I see no real difference here, but I don't really have a problem with large pores.
6. Anti-oxidants (protects skins moisture barrier) - I'm really not too sure about this one but it does keep my skin nicely moisturized & to that end must protect it to some extent.
7. Subtle lifting - This has been true for me too, my skin feels & looks firmer & fuller somehow, which does give my face a little "lift".
All in all I think this is a good product for a good price & can even compete with some of the high end creams I have tried which although they moisturized beautifully did tend to break me out because they are so heavy.
* Lipstick off as Olay test on animals & use some questionable chemicals in this product - due to this I will not be repurchasing.

I'm very impressed with this. Normally I don't use moisturizers because I've got very oily skin, and my dermatologists have told me I don't need it so don't bother. But I've been sick with the flu the last couple of weeks, and it's been very cold (for Southern California) and windy, so most of my face has been as chapped as my lips. I slathered some on my poor face before bed, and woke up with baby-smooth skin. It smells nice and isn't unpleasantly unctuous either. And it didn't break me out! I will definitely buy this again if I need it.

I also wanted to point out, if you buy this at CVS and you do not like it, you can return it back to the store just make sure you have the original receipt
I just bought this yesterday at CVS for 21.00 and change. I read up on the product on MA and decided to take the plunge. I have currently been using DDF Moisture Dew which retails for 40.00 with tax at Sephora. While, the DDF was great light and good for my oily combo skin, it was only a moisturizer, and I wanted something that did more. I washed my face and put the Olay lotion on with one full pump, ( which I found out today was too much, bc I used 1/2 of the pump) and despite using a little too much, it was amazing. After putting it on, it sank into my skin and my skin looked radiant, my pores smaller ( not HUGE difference, but enough that I noticed) my make up went on smoothly and my face was not as shiny as it would be towards the end of a night out. Today, I washed my face and just put more on and I can see a difference of just applying the lotion, it just a healthier looking glow. ! I am so impressed, I am in my early twenties and this is great preventative for wrinkles too! You just can't beat it! I even got compliments last night on how great my make up looked! I def recommended it.
** If anything changes I will be sure to provided an update, but for now I am 100% + satisfied!

Love this! Olay has always been a go to product for me. They make really good products that are not to expensive. You can always find them on sale. I needed a more moisturizing day cream so I decided to pick this up.
It is a nice cream that isn't heavy or greasy. It helps to moisturize my skin but not making my skin look shiny. My skin feels so soft after I use it! And I love the fragrance.

I have fallen in love with this moisturizer. It smells clean without being overscented and my skin just soaks this up without feeling greasy, just soft, smooth and silky. I will definitely buy this again!

Maybe it is only me who is only unlucky with Olay, but as the other cream that I just reviewed from them, this also gets a bad opinion from me. Once again, I tried to like it, used almost all the tube (which is btw expensive for being only 40 ml), but it does not do the job on my normal/slightly dry skin. The texture is a bit gel like, which I find unpleasant to begin with, as I find these do not sink in for me, but stay on the surface creating a quite unpleasant layer. Also, besides not being moisturising or nutritive enough, it does at all times keep my skin just a bit bumpy and broken out. I was not crazy about the scent either.

I sampled the version with fragrance and it didn't bother me - but I purchased the SPF 15 Fragrance Free [just a personal preference]. I LOVE it.
I have been using now for almost 2 weeks and I have to say that I have noticed a difference in my skin. I had a couple of age spots developing on my right temple and while I still see them - they do give the appearance of having faded a bit. It is noticeable. I also am seeing an improvement in my skin in general. I can't state with absolute certainty that fine lines are disappearing at this point - but overall my skin has a lovely glow and smoothness to it. Again the changes ARE noticeable - and in such a short period of time.
The packaging is absolutely fantastic. I wish Olay would package all of their moisturizers in this fashion. Seriously. It dispenses cleanly and easily - and looks pretty when stored away. The product is thicker than their Complete product - but not overly so. It flows nicely on the skin and absorbs well. This is my daily moisturizer - I use a different moisturizer for night time.
This is a great new product from Olay - and I'm truly impressed with the results and will continue to purchase. My only beef is the price - but I'll pay it since I feel the results are well worth it!

I bought this because it seemed to have good reviews here and on drugstore.com. I had previously been using Origins A Perfect World face cream, but I found it to be too greasy and caused minor breakouts on my face. I've been using the Total Effects for about 6 months now, and I really like it. I don't know if it has *treated* any fine lines or wrinkles (can any product really do this?), but it might be *preventing* them. I don't really have any major wrinkles or even a lot of fine lines, but I was looking for prevention. I also use this cream around my eye area and it has been great for that. The Total Effects is smooth, a nice creamy consistency but not too greasy, moisturizes well, and does not cause any breakouts. The regular formula (not the fragrance free or the one with SPF) does have a light, pleasing scent. I absolutely love the packaging since it enables me to dispense just the amount I need. I also love that it has a sturdy cap so that I can travel with the bottle and I won't be squirting it all over the inside of my toiletry bag. The price is high for a drugstore product, but I think it's worth it, since it's still cheaper than any department store product that does the same thing. I have already repurchased this and will likely continue to do so.

I use this as my night moisturizer. I like the consistency and scent. It makes my skin feel soft and smooth. For now, this moisturizer will do. But if I see wrinkles I may have to step it up and use something else.

I have combination skin, and since being pregnant, I'll have some days where my face is just super oily! This moisturizer is definitely a godsend...I don't feel like my face is a greasy mess with it, and it does look like my skin has gotten smoother looking. Definitely recommend!

Now I'm usually a Lush girl. However, this new moisturiser was on offer when I was in Boots and I thought I'd try it.
The Olay website says:
"Total Effects First Effects Anti-Ageing Moisturiser is powerful enough to fight the first signs of ageing but still gentle and compatible with the needs of younger skin.
* Smoothes out the to reduce appearance of first lines and wrinkles
* Boosts moisture levels with a lightweight, instantly-absorbed formula
* Plumps up the surface of the skin
* Leaves your skin feeling supple, soft and smooth with tiny micro-pearls
* Increases the rate of skin cell turnover to reveal youthful, radiant skin
It’s specially formulated with VitaNiacin, Olay's unique complex of Vitamin E, Vitamin B3 and Pro Vitamin B5. It also contains ceramides and Total Effect’s highest levels of anti-oxidant Green Tea to reduce the effects of free radicals which can damage skin and intensify signs of ageing.
Suitable for normal, dry, oily and combination skin.
Skin compatibility dermatologically tested and proven.
Gentle non-irritating.
Non comedogenic."
And I am truly impressed. My skin is smooth, even, moisturised and it doesn't seem to cause breakouts. While it doesn't leave my skin perfectly matte it doesn't leave it shiny either. It leaves more of a healthy glow.
Definitely better than just an average moisturiser, it does seem to help my skin look younger and brighter.
Thumbs up!
